I just wanted to give a shout out for Pizza Guys here in P.B. We love pizza and like to try new pizza restaurants in the neighborhood. Once we tried Pizza Guys' Pepperoni Trio Pizza we were hooked! It's their Signature Stuffed Crust pizza and it's delicious! Their menu includes an extensive choice of pizzas or you create your own...even with the Signature Stuffed Crust. The menu goes beyond pizzas with artisan flatbreads, salads, appetizers and more. Although it would be difficult to try something different, the Calzone looks delicious too! It's a family run restaurant and they aim to please. Before we arrived to pick up the pizza, the owner realized the regular pepperoni instead of the stuffed crust pepperoni pizza was made for us, so they quickly made what we ordered and gave us the 'mistake' for free. We are looking forward to trying it for lunch! You should find easily parking in the lot behind the building that includes Pizza Guys but they also deliver! You can download the app to easily order your pizza and track your order. Make it a point to give Pizza Guys a try! You'll be glad you did! read more

Kinda of overpriced average pizza in the heart of PB. Called in for pick up of the XL supreme pizza that had 12 slices so I'd say it could feed 4-5 people. For $35 and for it to taste average just like Pizza Hut that I could've gotten 2 large super supreme for was kind of pricey in my opinion. Maybe I should have opted in another specialty pizza. They charged extra for jalapeños on the side. But they did provide plates, cheese, and peppers though. I would like to come back and try something out to change my mind. read more

I was hoping for a better quality pizza than Dominoes (which is my favorite easy chain pizza.). Unfortunately, this place let me down. The quality was 2.5 outta 5. Edible but I would get dominoes for way less and better taste and freshness. Restaurant was clean and pleasant staff. No issues there. Just really need a better product. Also, som kind of specials would help get people interested. If only to then be let down again, I just don't get poor quality food in SD. It's everywhere and people just accept it. Wow... this is some quality pizza! The ingredients are fresh and the sauces are so rich. The dough was perfectly cooked, when you pickup the slice it holds itself up with just the tip starting to dip, it's perfection. Pizza Guys has a half and half option, for no extra charge... friends, you need to do this to take advantage of all of the amazing pizza options! We got half Artichoke Fiesta (white sauce) and half Fireworks (red sauce). We got almost the whole spectrum of toppings and every bite was better than the last. It was hard to stop eating! There is no dining area, so this is a great place to order online and take it to the beach to enjoy. LOVE AT FIRST BITE! ...seriously. Sorry, husband! Tonight was my first time at Pizza Guys thanks to a Yelp Elite event. - ORDERING - I called in at 5:14pm and the phone was answered immediately. The female employee on the phone was kind of snippy, borderline rude, but I'm sure it's been a long day so I'm understanding. She told me my order would be ready in 20-25 minutes. - LOCATION - If you visit during the day when it's light out, or anytime after reading Yelp comments about the large parking lot behind the building, you'll have an easy time getting to the restaurant. I, on the other hand, did neither. So, I struggled with traffic to figure out where to park in the dark, not realizing there was a parking lot. The lot is relatively big but the spaces are small and there is no parking directly in front of the restaurant. - PICKING UP - I received a text at 5:34pm that my order was ready, exactly 20 mins after ordering! Nice! I went inside and was greeted by the same employee who took my order over the phone. A second interaction with her confirmed that shining customer service may not be her strong suit. I paid and was told that since I spent over $25, we get a free 2 liter of soda! Another win! I was actually super stoked about that because soda is always a treat our kids enjoy when we order pizza but other major chains usually charge an insane amount for them. - PIZZA - I ordered a Texas BBQ and a Hawaiian Delight. The Texas BBQ was a little dry, I think more sauce would have fixed that. The Hawaiian Delight was SO GOOD. The pineapples were so juicy, perfect amount of sauce, not dry at all and so flavorful! I also have to note... whatever they do to their dough is AMAZING. It's not flavored or seasoned, but the texture is PERFECT! It's like... pillowy? Not burnt at all. Perfectly chewy yet well-cooked and golden. So. Freaking. Good. - PRICE - Price is a little steep (for us) at around $26-28 per large pizza but the differences between this place and major chains are the fresh ingredients and obviously supporting a smaller business. The pizzas were incredibly filling in fewer pieces, so even though it might be a little pricey, you're filling up faster on less. This place opened up recently in PB. We've never been to one before. They are hand down better than Dominoes, Pizza Hut or any fast food pizza chain. There are some local pizza places that are better. We had the meat lovers and hawaian stuffed crust. They had a good amount of toppings and taste. There is great flexibility in customizing orders. The prices are high but if you sign up for emails you get specials every week, 2 for 1 and others which make it worthwhile. The biggest issue is ordering through the website. It's horrible. Prices kept changing for the same pizza. The site didn't work on my phone. I could not see all options on my PC. It's absurd that I wasted so much time to place a simple order. Picked up a large w 3 toppings and cheezy garlic rolls last night and both were fantastic! This is more of a pan pizza style and the dough is fluffy with good chew and with a solid firm bottom. The cheezy garlic rolls were perfectly cooked, indeed cheezy with crisp doughy bread and marinara sauce. We didn't even get a photo of these because we inhaled them so fast.
