Davanti mi amore! I was so tired of work that I called up Scooter and said meet me at Davanti! They have one of the best happy hours in town! I especially love the bruschetta of the day and the pizza of the day! Of course, we shared the Davanti burger since we ordered the above. They also had a great sangiovese by the glass and we had two each...LOL! It was nice that we could sit up on the balcony and that the sun shade was down. We could see out, but people could barely see in. I saw someone from my school walk by and didn't say hi...LOL! Our server, oh man, I can't remember her name, but she just moved here, was great! Took good care of us! Again, what a great place to come to for happy hour! And as always.... Cako Approves!

We dropped in for brunch on Sunday was not busy, has a great menu and lots to choose from. Lots of seating inside, and the patio in the front and back. Servers were welcoming and checked in often. Love that they have both mimosa bar and Bloody Mary bar at the bar for you to create the best brunch drink. I had the frittata which was like an omelet, very tasty and I liked that the mushrooms were different. My husband had the American breakfast (sausages, eggs, toast, potatoes) which he enjoyed, though he asked for the toast to come buttered, and they weren't able to accommodate. We explained mostly when toast comes on these meals they're cold and dry so buttering it definitely helps a bit.

We fly in and out same day from Las Vegas just for their FOCACCIA DI RECCO. No lie! Delicious! Get the add on extra honey it's worth it. We wash it down with a bottle of their taittinger or maybe two...lol then we fly home. Always a relaxing experience sitting outside enjoying San Diego weather with great service. We will be back!

I think this is some of the least impressive food in Little Italy. Came in for a solo happy hour between a few work meetings and the food is cheap, but you get what you pay for. I've ate at nearly every restaurant in Little Italy, and decided to come back to Davanti because it's been a few years and I really wanted a spritz. The spritz was absolutely delicious and I was so happy to see different options for the spritz during happy hour. Now the food on the other hand - the most bland and tasteless meatball and cacio e pepe I've had. It's a nice spot to have a quick drink and people watch on the street, but I would not have a full meal here. Service is a little slower for outdoor seating as well.

We normally visit the Delmar location of this wonderful restaurant. Last night, we decided to try the little Italy location. It's right in the heart of Little Italy on India Street in between all of the other wonderful Italian restaurants. When we walked up. They have patio seating as well as inside dining. We decided to do inside dining as it was starting to get chilly outside. We were immediately seated by a wonderful hostess, and that made a positive impression upon us. The whole hostess staff had great smiles on their faces and they were very welcoming. After about two minutes of sitting down, our server came to ask us if we needed time to look over the menu. We said yes but that we wanted a Foccacia Bread table starter. She smiled and immediately went to put the order in. A few few minutes later she came back and we ordered our drinks for dinner: Raspberry Italian Soda, Orange Crush with Fresh Cream on top, and a non-alcoholic spritz. After we got our drinks and sip on them, it took us a bit of time to decide what we wanted. We all know that the burger here is fantastic! However, this evening, we decided to try new things. We ordered: Pappardelle Bolognese with Added Meatballs, Pappardelle Bolognese as it is normally prepared, and a Caesar salad with shrimp added. Our food was out within about 10 to 15 minutes and everything was prepared perfectly. I have to say that we really enjoyed dining in this location and we may need to come back here more instead of traveling to the Del Mar location sometimes. Our server was super customer service oriented and we appreciated her. She went above and beyond to get the orange crush drink to be unique like an Italian soda for my daughter. We were super stuffed and could not do dessert, but we did promise to come back to enjoy the lava cake at a future time. Overall, this was an excellent visit and we appreciate the staff in the great energy that we received at this location. I do highly recommend it.

We always obtain a bunch of Seaworld tickets that always ends up expiring since we don't use them so my Son decided to call his friends and go, but before going I decided to treat them to DAVANTI ENOTECA . We ordered the following: * FOCACCIA DI RECCO w/ side of HONEY COMB *CACCIO E PEPE w / jumbo SHRIMP & STEAKS *BRANZINO AL SALMORIGLIO * PAPPARDELLE GAMBERRI * RISOTTO CARBONARA *GELATI E SORBETTI *CHEF'S CHARCUTERIE * ESPRESSO MARTINI * CARNE PIZZA As I read on some other yelp review, their FOCACCIA DI RECCO with side of HONEY COMB is so good. Looking at it, it doesn't look that much good, but omg when I tried a slice omg, as in omg it's delicious! I reccomend you guys not skip this, order this FOCACCIA DI RECCO My ESPRESSO MARTINI came, it's good, same as any other Espresso drink I've had in any other restaurant. The CHEF'S CHARCUTERIE was good, I love everything on it. For their CARNE PIZZA , I was not a big fan of it. All of the PASTAS tasted good. Only one of my son's friends ordered a burger the DAVANTI BURGER and he said it was really a good one, the burger meat patty was not dry and was very tasty. I love BRANZINO , and I always get them when I see them on a restaurant Menu, but omg this BRANZINO AL SALMORIGLIO was sooooo Salty !!! I believe that this was just probably one of those Kitchen errors for the day and someone double salted it, but without too much salt this would probably be a very good one. I don't usually order Grilled or Fried Artichoke 'coz I have bad experiences with them, always end up with a hard or chewy one, but here their FRIED ROMAN ARTICHOKES was so soft and well seasoned. For dessert we had ICE CREAM pistachio, salted caramel ,cappucino , lemon , raspberry , and it was okay. The service was great here. Other than our server, a bunch of different servers kept coming to check on us too or helped our server to pick up our done dishes. The food here was Hit or Miss, but we're definitely coming back to try for more to discover what other good foods they have here.

Love coming here every chance I get! Service is fast and food comes out quick and it's delicious. Place is big enough for large parties and lunch hour rush.

So many restaurant choices in San Diego's within Little Italy - This place is an absolute must! My son and I came in mid week and it was still fairly busy in the evening, but we were able to find a place at the bar. Bartender was attentive and friendly. We ordered a caesar salad (to share) and the Spaghettini al Pomodoro, along with a couple of cold beers. The caesar was generous in size and really fresh & delicious. The Spaghettini al Pomodoro we requested spicy and it was absolutely amazing!!! If we weren't so full already, I would have ordered another plate of that for us to split. That's how good it was. We should have just ordered another anyway "to go" LOL Seriously, that's how good it was... We were only in town for the one night, but next time we're in San Diego, we're definitely coming back here, that how memorable this pasta was! Note- **Happy hour menu - from 3 to 6 pm - great food options and some great drink choices.**

Hands down, the best calamari I've ever had in my life. I don't even like calamari! But the crispness and the breading on this one, is absolute perfection. The focaccia we got with the honey and the cheese on the inside was delightful. We got so many other things and I forgot to get pics. But the vibe here is great. We sat in the little courtyard in the back, and it feels like you're in Italy. They have a great happy hour. They have comfy seating, but booths and tables and a full bar. Our server was super cool and helpful. We had a big group, and everything was great. Love this spot!

Such a great happy hour! The portions were huge. We got the Davanti spritz and the davanti burger. The brought out our food right after we ordered our drinks. The inside and outdoor seating was nice! They have a cute display outside. On the inside the lights are dimmed and so cute! Definitely a must stop for happy hour!

Met some friends here for late drinks and appetizers. We were seated right away to an outside table and placed our drink orders. Lively area on a Saturday night and everything is colorfully lit up. I ordered an Old Fashioned and a charcuterie plate. Drink was perfect and the plate was arrayed with a good combination of flavors!

Just another amazing review to add to this place. We were passing through on our trip from Mexico to Reno,NV and had some time before our flight home. Out of all the places in little Italy we picked this one and boy are we glad we did. They were able to accommodate us perfectly with all our luggage and toddler. The staff was amazing along with the food and the space was perfectly inviting. The Caprese salad was amazing. The Focaccia bread was phenomenal. We tried it with honey per recommendation from the waiter and now our taste buds are screaming to come back for more. The Caesar salad was deliciously savory and the chicken carbonara was to die for we will be stopping here every time we come into town.

This is my go to place for happy hour when I'm in the Little Italy area of downtown San Diego. It's one of the few places that offer happy hour every day from 3:00-6:00 pm. A complete meal of Cacio E Pepe (pasta with cheese and black pepper) and a limoncello spritz for $18 is a sweet deal. Even though the pasta is simple, it's delicious and the limoncello spritz is a nice change from the well known Italian Aperol Spritz. Along with indoor dining, they also have outdoor patio dining in the front and back of the restaurant. Happy hour is only at the bar but the service is quick Great ambiance. FYI...it can get very crowded on weekends
