We have been coming to this restaurant for years and every time we come to mission beach it's a must tradition! The pizza is delicious and filling. We also had carrot cake and cheesecake and it was superb! The customer service is always great and the bathrooms are well maintained. Thanks Luigi's!

One slice of cheese pizza cut in half

The slice is very big and despite the price-tag, you get your money's worth. Not the best new york style pizza, but then again, im on the opposite coast so not to be expected. All in all, it was good. Its like 2 regular slices so you have to compare the price to 2 slices. The staff were friendly and it was convenient.

Drove out here just to have brunch at Luigi's and it of course did not disappoint. The service was very friendly as always. I decided to switch it up and tried a burger for their Monday specials. I wish I had eaten it slower to enjoy it more. It was so good, highly recommend if you aren't in a pizza mood. The onion rings were some of the best I've ever had as well! So fresh and great batter.

Needed a casual place to eat with kids that wasn't a fast food chain and found this place online. My husband and I shared the Luigis combo platter which is a portion of meat lasagna, fettuccine alfredo, and ravioli. Got 3 kids meals, mozzarella sticks and sodas for all. The kids pizza slice is HUGE BTW. My 7 yo couldn't finish it. The bill came to a shocking $115 with an automatic gratuity of 18% applied. The food was good, but not for that price!! And an automatically applied tip?? For a family of 5, not a large party?? There was nothing special about the service other than them doing their job of taking our orders and bringing our food. Crazy to expect an 18% tip for doing the bare minimum of your job.

My husband's cousins were in town and we wanted to just grab something quick and local, so we stopped by luigi's! I've ordered pizza from here a few times to take home but this is surprisingly my first time sitting inside the restaurant. It's a great indoor outdoor feel mixed with a traditional Sports bar. They also have a really cute patio if the weather is right! We ordered a number of appetizers including buffalo wings. My husband and I each order to Giant Slice Pizza which is more than enough for one serving size! Highly recommend this place if you're searching for pizza in area.

Gluten-free pizza that tastes delicious! Look at everything on this pizza! Look how they pile it on! Great atmosphere and friendly bartenders! Thanks, Danielle! You can even get an Irish Coffee here!

Was in town for a conference and this was my first time in Mission Beach. A few other places on Mission were swamped with people so I decided to turn the corner and lo and behold I found this place. Not too busy and it was a full service restaurant with a decent menu. I ordered a cup of soup and slice of pizza since it was their special tonight. I had no idea what was coming. The does is custom made so, it takes some time to get but it's worth it. The pizza has a nice crispy bottom crust. It's not burnt either. It was perfect. The soup was flavorful. They also serve lobster bisque which the server said is their everyday soup. There are tables near the windows so you can people watch. There is some street parking but I parked by the Public parking area and walked over. Service was pretty good. I would definitely come back if I am in the area again.

The wing are really good. Some of the better ones I've had in a while. The pizza was good too. J.J. our server was great.

Burger was honestly sooo good, but it's really hard to mess up a bbq burger. The pasta was super mid, pretty bland and sauce was watery. The bruschetta was solid to me, but I'm not very picky and they give you a bottle of balsamic glaze on the side which was nice. The service was actually pretty good our server checked in on us frequently and her timing for water refills were perfect! the pricing here is a little high for what is served but I understand we're by the beach. Dining on the outdoor patio was nice for the fresh air. I would not come here again. Do not get the pasta.

We ordered the calamari fritti ($16.50), spaghetti allo scoglio ($25.50), fettuccine gamberi e pancetta ($27.50), and gnocchi alla salsiccia ($23.50). The spaghetti allo scoglio was definitely the standout for me. The seafood was super fresh and cooked perfectly, and I loved how the marinara sauce complemented the natural flavors of the seafood without overpowering them. The pasta was also cooked al dente. The calamari fritti was a great appetizer as well. The calamari had the perfect balance of crispy on the outside and tender and chewy on the inside. The fried pickled jalapeños were a really nice touch, although I wasn't a huge fan of the tomato dipping sauce. The calamari was still delicious without it though. The restaurant has rustic-chic decor and a really nice atmosphere, making it a great option for a date night or a nicer dinner. Service was friendly as well! Our server checked in regularly and made some light conversation with us. There is both street and lot parking available, although it can get pretty busy at night. They also offer happy hour from 4-6pm on weekdays.

The restaurant is small, and has a good combination of outdoor seating and indoor seating. My oldest ordered the salmon salad, and the creamy dressing was light, fresh, and full of flavor. The salmon portion was on the smaller side but cooked perfectly. My youngest got a "small" order of spaghetti Bolognese (there's no kids' menu), and she cleaned her plate. We also ordered the house bread, which our server explained is baked fresh to order, so it took a little extra time--but it was worth the wait. The seasoned olive oil dip was incredible, and the butter was rich and creamy. The only thing I personally missed was a side of balsamic vinegar. The drinks were just as impressive: a refreshing lavender mocktail for my oldest, a beautifully presented strawberry lemonade for my youngest, and their take on an Aperol Spritz for me. We substituted the tagliatelle ragu with pappardelle pasta since we already had fettuccine and I liked that a lot. When the pasta came out, our server asked if we wanted cheese on the pasta to which we said yes, and then he forgot to bring us cheese so we had to ask the hostess standing outside. Nothing was necessarily bad. it was just surprisingly bland. For a dish that's usually rich and comforting, this one felt forgettable. Pesto Pasta: 7/10 This was decent and definitely better than the ossobuco, but it wasn't anything I'd go out of my way to order again. The pesto was enjoyable, and I appreciated that it wasn't overly acidic. Beyond that, it didn't really stand out. The cocktails were good, the service was fantastic, and the complimentary limoncello cake was delicious. That said, when there are so many great Italian restaurants in the area, I don't see myself returning. I left feeling like the food was more hype than substance. Food: 5/10 Service: 10/10

The Beef Brasato Pappardelle was flavorful with a good amount of meat, while the Bucatini Amatriciana was sour and not enjoyable. The Parmesan Truffle Fries were disappointing- they were hollow and airy with barely any potato or truffle flavor. The burnt Brussel sprouts were actually burnt (ha), the grilled octopus was dry with very little meat, the hamachi crudo was okay, the wagyu carpaccio was alright but didn't taste like wagyu, and the Jidori chicken fra diavolo wasn't worth the price.
