We have been coming to this restaurant for years and every time we come to mission beach it's a must tradition! The pizza is delicious and filling. We also had carrot cake and cheesecake and it was superb! The customer service is always great and the bathrooms are well maintained. Thanks Luigi's!

One slice of cheese pizza cut in half

The slice is very big and despite the price-tag, you get your money's worth. Not the best new york style pizza, but then again, im on the opposite coast so not to be expected. All in all, it was good. Its like 2 regular slices so you have to compare the price to 2 slices. The staff were friendly and it was convenient.

Drove out here just to have brunch at Luigi's and it of course did not disappoint. The service was very friendly as always. I decided to switch it up and tried a burger for their Monday specials. I wish I had eaten it slower to enjoy it more. It was so good, highly recommend if you aren't in a pizza mood. The onion rings were some of the best I've ever had as well! So fresh and great batter.

Needed a casual place to eat with kids that wasn't a fast food chain and found this place online. My husband and I shared the Luigis combo platter which is a portion of meat lasagna, fettuccine alfredo, and ravioli. Got 3 kids meals, mozzarella sticks and sodas for all. The kids pizza slice is HUGE BTW. My 7 yo couldn't finish it. The bill came to a shocking $115 with an automatic gratuity of 18% applied. The food was good, but not for that price!! And an automatically applied tip?? For a family of 5, not a large party?? There was nothing special about the service other than them doing their job of taking our orders and bringing our food. Crazy to expect an 18% tip for doing the bare minimum of your job.

My husband's cousins were in town and we wanted to just grab something quick and local, so we stopped by luigi's! I've ordered pizza from here a few times to take home but this is surprisingly my first time sitting inside the restaurant. It's a great indoor outdoor feel mixed with a traditional Sports bar. They also have a really cute patio if the weather is right! We ordered a number of appetizers including buffalo wings. My husband and I each order to Giant Slice Pizza which is more than enough for one serving size! Highly recommend this place if you're searching for pizza in area.

Gluten-free pizza that tastes delicious! Look at everything on this pizza! Look how they pile it on! Great atmosphere and friendly bartenders! Thanks, Danielle! You can even get an Irish Coffee here!

Was in town for a conference and this was my first time in Mission Beach. A few other places on Mission were swamped with people so I decided to turn the corner and lo and behold I found this place. Not too busy and it was a full service restaurant with a decent menu. I ordered a cup of soup and slice of pizza since it was their special tonight. I had no idea what was coming. The does is custom made so, it takes some time to get but it's worth it. The pizza has a nice crispy bottom crust. It's not burnt either. It was perfect. The soup was flavorful. They also serve lobster bisque which the server said is their everyday soup. There are tables near the windows so you can people watch. There is some street parking but I parked by the Public parking area and walked over. Service was pretty good. I would definitely come back if I am in the area again.

The wing are really good. Some of the better ones I've had in a while. The pizza was good too. J.J. our server was great.

Burger was honestly sooo good, but it's really hard to mess up a bbq burger. The pasta was super mid, pretty bland and sauce was watery. The bruschetta was solid to me, but I'm not very picky and they give you a bottle of balsamic glaze on the side which was nice. The service was actually pretty good our server checked in on us frequently and her timing for water refills were perfect! the pricing here is a little high for what is served but I understand we're by the beach. Dining on the outdoor patio was nice for the fresh air. I would not come here again. Do not get the pasta.

Hands down, the worst pizza I have ever had. $60 for 4 slices of cardboard. Not even in the same league as the other Luigi's locations.

We ordered the calamari fritti ($16.50), spaghetti allo scoglio ($25.50), fettuccine gamberi e pancetta ($27.50), and gnocchi alla salsiccia ($23.50). The spaghetti allo scoglio was definitely the standout for me. The seafood was super fresh and cooked perfectly, and I loved how the marinara sauce complemented the natural flavors of the seafood without overpowering them. The pasta was also cooked al dente. The calamari fritti was a great appetizer as well. The calamari had the perfect balance of crispy on the outside and tender and chewy on the inside. The fried pickled jalapeños were a really nice touch, although I wasn't a huge fan of the tomato dipping sauce. The calamari was still delicious without it though. The restaurant has rustic-chic decor and a really nice atmosphere, making it a great option for a date night or a nicer dinner. Service was friendly as well! Our server checked in regularly and made some light conversation with us. There is both street and lot parking available, although it can get pretty busy at night. They also offer happy hour from 4-6pm on weekdays.

It was a Friday evening and every restaurant on the street was full and vibrant. You could Yelp these places all day long and it would be hard to choose. There's so many great restaurants around Little Italy. Mimmo's reached out and called us in. There were pretty white tablecloths, the hostess was smiling ready to answer any questions and of course, the menu looked wonderful. Voilà! We'd found our spot. Our waiter was so personable and had all the answers to our inquiries. He suggested items and even answered honestly when needed. I got a Le Pécora Nera Sangria (fizzy blackberry with lemon). Tasty, but too many blackberry seeds coming up the straw. I'd get another one next time. For the appetizers: RISOTTO ARANCINI (a MUST get) - these were absolutely delicious. Four good size bread crumbed fried balls of risotto sitting in the restaurant's own tomato gravy. HOMEMADE FOCACCIA WITH DIPPING OIL (yes, that's the official name) - this is a basket of super soft, warm focaccia bread for a great price. I would get it no matter what main course you're getting! It soaks up every sauce and it's just delicious. MAIN: BAKED LASAGNA (meat) - with the two appetizers this is the perfect size for both of us. No need to get one per person! It was absolutely wonderful. I would get it again. All in all, I'd definitely go back. The food was absolutely delicious and flavorful and the employees we came in contact with were great as well. We didn't want to sit at a table right next to the hundreds of people walking by, I don't like that, but there are plenty other options one row in or inside the restaurant. A solid recommendation on my part.

We decided to do inside dining as it was starting to get chilly outside. We were immediately seated by a wonderful hostess, and that made a positive impression upon us. The whole hostess staff had great smiles on their faces and they were very welcoming. After about two minutes of sitting down, our server came to ask us if we needed time to look over the menu. We said yes but that we wanted a Foccacia Bread table starter. She smiled and immediately went to put the order in. A few few minutes later she came back and we ordered our drinks for dinner: Raspberry Italian Soda, Orange Crush with Fresh Cream on top, and a non-alcoholic spritz. After we got our drinks and sip on them, it took us a bit of time to decide what we wanted. We all know that the burger here is fantastic! However, this evening, we decided to try new things. We ordered: Pappardelle Bolognese with Added Meatballs, Pappardelle Bolognese as it is normally prepared, and a Caesar salad with shrimp added. Our food was out within about 10 to 15 minutes and everything was prepared perfectly. I have to say that we really enjoyed dining in this location and we may need to come back here more instead of traveling to the Del Mar location sometimes. Our server was super customer service oriented and we appreciated her. She went above and beyond to get the orange crush drink to be unique like an Italian soda for my daughter. We were super stuffed and could not do dessert, but we did promise to come back to enjoy the lava cake at a future time. Overall, this was an excellent visit and we appreciate the staff in the great energy that we received at this location. I do highly recommend it.
