Service and ambiance were fine, but the food was very disappointing. We ordered the new Coco Chicken Strip appetizer and the Chicken Tender Basket. Unfortunately, both chicken dishes were either overcooked or fried in dirty oil. The Coco Chicken had virtually no flavor, and the chicken tenders were bland and had a mushy texture. Chicken should never be mushy--this suggests a problem with the cooking process. The coleslaw was served warm and didn't taste good. The French fries were the only item that was decent. My Friday night soap opera? Trying to support this local business. We ordered two large pizzas for delivery, 30 minutes later a bread and a small pizza arrived. As we noticed, the delivery man was leaving tire marks as he burned around the corner and off into the subpar pizza sunset. We called, requested our real order back, to which we were told we'd get a credit back and they would cancel the order- refusing to bring us our pizza. We placed a new order, went to go pick it up, only to be met by a lobby of impatient customers and a reception desk stacked with boxes to the ceiling. I was then offered my pizzas. Freezing cold, obviously the order that was supposed to be delivered 40 minutes earlier. Half full ranch cups and cold pizza in tow, I somberly drove home, unhappy and unfulfilled. This was a sore attempt at customer service, and a blemish upon the now-tarnished name of pizza. read more

Got a carry out tonight from my local Aubree's. I ordered two things off their limited time menu. The beef quesadillas which came with a pineapple salsa and sour cream, and the crab avocado salad. The quesadillas are small, for $8.99. They are very tasty,very flavorful but not a very big portion. The menu said that it came with a pineapple salsa. Since there were only two tiny pieces of pineapple, I would call it a pepper salsa. Mine was almost entirely green and red peppers and onions. The crab salad was disappointing. The crab is fishy. It was described on the menu as lump crabmeat but to me it looks and tastes like crab that probably came out of a can. There were also little bits of shell. I would not recommend the crab salad. I love the pizza, am finding Aubrees to be a little overpriced read more

This is considered fine dining in Ypsilanti Township. The worst pizza that I have had. The only good thing about this place was the coffee. Jets pizza makes a better pizza than this place. Ate there tonight with a party of 13, 8 of which were kids. So not any restaurant server's dream table (or 13-top) for sure. I used to wait tables and so I was prepared to shell out a *minimim* 30% tip. I get that it's a hard job and big tables can really stink. Let me explain here that I'm white. The majority of my party was African American. We were a big table, but considering there were 8 kids, we were pretty tolerable. My best friend, who sat several seats down from me at the long table, repeatedly asked our server for simple things like a coke, a to-go container, etc. While the white server spoke to me like I was the person paying the bill (she was friendly, prompt, on task, great) to my friend who is Black and also beautifully dark skinned at that, our white server blatantly ignored her (throughout the ENTIRE meal). You can never be sure of course (white privileged means if I ever get bad service I don't ever have to worry if it's bc of my race), but when I finally asked this server for a to-go container (for my friend), I not only got it immediately, but the fake/half hearted "sorry" my friend got from this server made it abundantly clear what was behind the rude and disrespectful treatment. I really wanted it to be a special night for my friends, who really needed a night off of life's troubles, and instead it was painful and sad (and very angering). Won't be back. read more

I made a reservation for 12 the night before. Nancy was very accommodating even when we added two extra guest. Our server Kam was very good. She got us seated and drinks right away and never once got flustered or impatient. I can only speak to my meal, which were all appetizers. Bone-in chicken wings, I've learned to get those plain and ask for dipping sauce on the side. Feta bread, Kam recommended that and it was a crowd pleaser. Crispy Brussels sprouts, well if you like BS you probably would love these. However, I don't so I probably won't order those again. Although, I didn't hate them. Came to celebrate an anniversary with friends. The fish tacos were fine, the BAT (bacon avocado tomato) cheese sandwich awesome, and the fish and chips were extremely generous (enough for several people). The prices have been maintained quite reasonable, unlike other places at this point in the Pandemic. The cheese cake was very nice, but the chocolate sauce was unimpressive and I would get the dessert without it if I were to repeat. My go-to here is a Boursin Mushroom Burger and sweet potato fries. The garlic and herbs in the cheese adds just the right punch of flavor to the hand-patted beef patty. Another favorite burger is the Derby Bourbon, dripping with delicious sauce and topped with an onion ring. The Rueben is also very tasty. Table service is fine, but it's also quick and easy to call ahead and pick up at their separate carry-out entrance. The original location is in Depot Town, but parking here is a lot easier. It's a family-friendly place but the bar is also always packed with folks watching sports, eating, drinking and chatting it up like they all know one another. The noodles were very dry, and the shredded cheese on top was about the only cheese flavor on the dish. I have to clarify I went to the Whittaker Road location and not the one in Depot Town. I went to their website first at http://www.aubreespizza.com/ and they sent me a coupon for a free appetizer when I joined their e club. I would suggest doing the same. They also ask for important dates for all of the family, birthdays, anniversaries, etc. I imagine you get freebies then too. I like the look of Aubrees. We mostly went as they have NTN trivia which I am addicted to. If you are an NTN Fan, they have tables with mini tv screens just for you. My husband and I loved that as we could play and not have to look around to find a screen. We decided on boneless wings for our appetizer as we planned on pizza and did not want to overload on starch. We got the chipotle barbecue variety and were quite pleased. It was a generous portion with carrot sticks, celery and ranch for dipping. As my husband loves celery and I love carrot it worked out nicely. The slightly smoky sauce was very tasty and the wings were small and crunchy yet still meaty and juicy inside. For our dinner we wanted completely opposite pizzas so we ordered two. Our waitress kind of acted like we were being piggish which pissed me off. We were taking home major leftovers but at any rate it was just none of her business. I had the Chicken, Goat Cheese and Mushroom bistro specialty pizza on a whole wheat crust. It has roasted red peppers, sundried tomatoes and red onion on it also. I asked for pesto rather than tomato sauce and they were nice enough to make the switch for me. It was lovely but the sundried tomatoes got a tad burnt on top, they should have stuck em under the cheese. The pizza other than that was perfect. I could only eat three pieces and took the rest home. My husband had the Mighty Mighty Meat pizza, featuring chunks of italian sausage, bacon, spicy pepperoni, ham and ground beef. He was not a fan of the big chunks of sausage but I like that sort of thing personally. Other than that he thought the pizza was good. Not nearly as good as Toledo pizza, but that is what he says about everything up here. He ate about half his pizza and took the rest home. We went back as I liked the place quite a bit food and trivia set up wise, we have enjoyed half priice calzones during happy hour and scored some free drinks through trivia play. I want to go on the weekend during football season sometime as they have tailgate buffet for just 7.99 with a variety of 'za, brats, dogs, chili, potato and macaroni salad and the like. What a bargain. My birthday gift this year from Aubrees was a free large specialty pizza. We had the Big Kahuna minus onions (James is a baby) and man was it awesome! The Frog Island BBQ Sauce is just yummy. The chicken is in good chunks, slices of nice ham and nice accent of bacon. His half also featured pineapple chunks. This new extension of an old institution is good, if a little overpriced. I like the Aubree's Saloon in Depot Town best, but the Tavern on Whittaker is nice, too. It's got a different flavor. The one in Depot Town is definitely a college hang-out, while the Tavern on Whittaker is more of a family restaurant. The pizza is the same here, but some of the dishes are a bit different. When I came here with my husband, he got tortilla chips with his entree, and the chips were stale. I had a salad, and my greens were wilted and past their prime. However, his main dish, the veggie quesadillas, were good. The rest of my meal was good as well, if a little pricey. read more

I spent 6 great years in Ypsi and my parents moved there themselves after I moved away. It's safe to say I've frequented Aubree's many times! I particularly like this location as it's a little less busy than the Depot Town location. The layout is great for game watching, and the food is always stop notch. Most recently my sister threw me a baby shower here. We had a private event in their backroom. My mom and sister were allowed into the room a couple hours early to decorate. The event itself was about two hours, and then we mingled perhaps longer than we thought we would and took our time cleaning up. The whole time the staff was amazing and very accommodating! Our group had the pizza buffet (which also had four soups, salad, bread sticks and cinnamon bread) and had one wonderful waitress for our group of 16 or 18 people. We also had management stop in and check on us at least twice while I was there. They sent us home with a ton of leftover pizza (we couldn't believe we were getting leftovers from a buffet!) and our waitress stayed extra time to make sure we were taken care of even after we were supposed to all have left. I've always liked this restaurant but this most recent experience really put them over the top. I've driven far from Ypsi and paid much more for pizza that wasn't as good. And as I've said their service was wonderful. I'd encourage anyone to check out Aubree's for game time, a special event, or just a good lunch/dinner out! read more

I can't believe I haven't rated this place yet? It's right around the corner from my house. I have been here countless times and ordered pizza even more. This rating is based on 2 classes: restaurant and pizza. 1. Pizza - this is the best gourmet pizza around. I love the supreme. Just delicious. And my wife and daughter are addicted to the Feta Bread. 4 1/2 star. 2. Restaurant/Bar - I have tried lots of items, but usually wish I had ordered the pizza. Nothing bad, just nothing as good as their pizza. They do have about a dozen craft beers available. The second best thing on the menu are the Pizza Rolls. This is big enough to share. 3.
