I placed my order and grabbed a 10lb bag of ice for $2 for my cooler in the car. The menu selections and sides were plentiful. I opted for the fish and shrimp combination plate with greens and black eyed peas. The dining room was clean and I noticed that it is available for private parties. One of the staff also mentioned that they host events like paint and sip and have a Thanksgiving buffet planned. They also have take out and delivery options. The food arrived hot and fresh. The shrimp was battered well and seasoned to perfection. The fish was a large portion and seasoning well. It was just a little salty, but that's a "me thing" because I don't use salt for health reasons so I notice it when I dine out. Again, the fish was seasoned well, just a bit salty for my personal taste. It will probably be fine for someone else. The price point was mid range. My total bill was $28.15 for the combination plate, ice, a bottle of water, and gratuity. Great restaurant with great staff. I'd definitely frequent often if I lived closer.

It was a good drink it just wasn't cold, cold even with the ice. Shake it then pour it over new ice. But it was good for $11. I really like The Spot! It's fun and the food is great. It's crowded and can get a little claustrophobic though.

I live at the apts behind restaurant, and the drivers drive like a bat out of hell through, way to fast almost hitting people who are walking!!! Last night there was an employee that walked out to the dumpster to dump the trash and decided to urinate while outside for all to see!!! This place is a complete joke and should be shut down. The service was absolutely horrible -- the guy behind the counter seemed more interested in arguing than helping customers. On top of that, they had the nerve to charge extra for basic toppings like Parmesan and red pepper. The restrooms were filthy and stank, which made the whole experience even worse. My taste buds were continuously treated to straight-up Old World Italian deliciousness. I couldn't get enough of the fried fish and chicken pasta. It took me a while to finish the spaghetti because I was beyond the point of full. I had no choice but to forego the chicken masala and seafood rice pilaf. Mario's, which has existed since 1967, has the undeniable feel of an old school pizzeria. Guests can actually feel the warmth emanating from the kitchen as well as the staff. When they first opened, I was excited to see them get their own space, and my early experiences were great--the service was fast, the food was good, and I was happy to support them. Unfortunately, something seems to have changed. On multiple recent visits for takeout, I've found myself waiting as long as 25 minutes for what should have been a relatively simple order, while customers who ordered after me and were dining in received their food much sooner. Unfortunately, the bigger issue is that when I finally get home, the order has frequently been wrong. I also typically order a chocolate shake with my meal. The shake is usually prepared almost immediately, which sounds great--except that by the time my food is ready, the shake has been sitting long enough to be completely melted. At that point, I usually just take the order and leave because I don't want to make a scene over something that should be easily avoidable. I've also used DoorDash to order from MAC-IES twice, and both times my order was incorrect. I've continued giving MAC-IES chances because I genuinely want to see them succeed. I believe in supporting local businesses, and I'd much rather leave a five-star review than a negative one. But after repeated problems with wait times, order accuracy, and overall consistency, I've reached the point where I have to be honest about my experience. Lesson learned: I'll be spending my money elsewhere. I sincerely hope MAC-IES can get these issues addressed because I'd like to see them succeed. But for me, enough is enough. I won't be returning to the Broadway location.
