One of our places when in Galveston for drinks @ music. Gabby took great care of us. We shared a couple lbs of crawfish and ice cold beer.

We ate at Huli Hulu hut today. And Connor was our server. he was very helpful and helping us select the perfect boil combination for our appetite and our budget. We will be back again. Thank you so much for the great service and meal today.

I only took a picture of my flatbread, which was good, but not anything remarkable. I don't like seafood so that's my fault. My family members who do enjoy seafood said that it was some of the best they had on the island during our trip! They had crab, fried shrimp, and the fish and shrimp platter.

I stopped by here a couple of days ago for lunch. We were at the Railroad Museum in Galveston around lunchtime when my wife pulled up Yelp to find somewhere to eat and came across the Huli Huli Hut. Since it was Sunday and there were plenty of TVs around the restaurant, you could catch almost any NFL game you wanted. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside, the place had a laid-back, beachy feel with lots of colorful wall art, wood accents, and a large bar lined with taps and TVs showing the games.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] For lunch on this day, I decided on the oyster po' boy. The menu offered the choice of fried, grilled, or blackened shrimp or fish, or fried oysters with lettuce, tomato, and tartar sauce. Our food took a little while to arrive, but it looked good when it did. My sandwich had plenty of fried oysters, and they were tasty with a breading that carried a little bit of spice. The tartar sauce added some welcome moisture and flavor too. Finally, the fries were excellent, super crispy on the outside, giving each bite a nice crunch. My twins especially loved those and cleared their plates. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. I thought our food was good, and I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere while catching the football games.

We hadn't tried the new locations so decided to check out happy hour at Huli Huli! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The new location seems much bigger with a pleasant patio area in the back to enjoy the sunshine if the weather is good.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Happy hour deals on drinks and food were excellent. We especially loved the shrimp kisses and deals on well drinks. The menu has lots of variety and something for everyone. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, a fun place to grab a drink and a bite.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This is a pretty popular hangout so parking is most likely gonna be in the street since they only have eight spots available. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There are flat screens all around and a stage for live music indoors.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They do have a mixed drink menu, however, there are no prices on it (average $12) and you'll have to scan a QR code for their food menu. [[HIGHLIGHT]]On fair weather days they'll have the garage doors at both ends open to allow the breeze to flow through instead of air-conditioning.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The only problem with that is that when the food arrives, so do the flies. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have a full bar with available seating and upbeat music playing overhead.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They actually have a woodfired pizza oven (so I was told, might be gas fired tho) in the back corner which helped me with my choice of meal. The wife had scallops which came out perfectly cooked and tender. My pepperoni/mushroom pizza was good and something I would order again. Since we got here on a Saturday, there's no happy hour, but their mixed drinks were good, although the alcohol was barely discernible. When it's time to check out on the handheld device, you will be charged a 3% credit card fee on your bill. We had great service and a good time. Informative photos below, including the bill, giving you an idea what you can expect to pay as well.

Great service with Daniel! He gave us a great selection for crawfish, shrimp and blue crabs at a great deal. Crawfish is only available this week. Everything is extremely good especially the blue crabs which broiled and spicy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great singing performances for a few hours at night.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Was here to try something new for my birthday. My coworker recommended this place so I drove from Houston to Galveston. [[HIGHLIGHT]]First impression was this is a local spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When we walked in we were a little confused. There wasn't a greeter @ the front. Finally someone @ the bar told us to seat ourselves. We then had to figure out to scan the QR code for the menu & a server eventually arrived. I told him this was our 1st time & we were celebrating my birthday. The server said happy birthday, but a nice touch would've been a complimentary something. I wasn't expecting it, but it would have been nice. We ordered grilled redfish with rice & onion rings, chicken wings, bayou boudin balls & fish & chips. Everything arrive promptly & hot, but very flavorless. They give you a decent amount for what you pay, but nope. I guess I'm used to Cajun seafood. The bayou balls & chicken wings had a little flavor, nothing else. My friend recommended the blue crabs & that's what I should've gotten. I would never make a special trip again just to eat here, but if I'm in the area, maybe I'll try the blue crabs.

Appreciate being able to visit a spot that I've been told is where the locals go. My kinda place to grab some casual food and cocktails. Happy Hour runs from 3p-7p with specials on food and drinks. Staff is super friendly and make sure you're well taken of during your visit. Prices are very reasonable considering most places are trying g to get all of the "tourist dollars". [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place overall is a vibe as the music plays and the energy is up.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Enjoyable experience visiting the Huli Huli Hut

This is a pretty eclectic place that fits in well here in Galveston. During Spring Break, they…read morewere a little busier during the weekday than normal. Lots of good options on the menu, and I was craving their famous cinnamon roll pancakes, but then a server brought out migas to a table and I immediately knew I wanted that instead. Here, it's a little opposite from most places, you gotta pick your seat first then order as the seats, especially the tables, are hard to come by at times. There are plenty stools along the window but the tables are better and most tables are family style so you'll likely be meeting someone new. I also added a chocolate bread pudding for myself which looked really good. The rest of my group ordered the granny's breakfast with sausage, 2 scrambled eggs and Benny's tostadas. The food comes out surprisingly quick for as busy as they are. Everything was so delicious! I ate a little of the bread pudding at the restaurant, then eventually ate the rest over the course of the next few hours. Yum! This restaurant is highly recommended!

After you finally order you get to try and find one of their dirty tables to sit at then wait way too long for terrible food. The food could not be more terrible, this is what they call biscuits and gravy and it tasted as bad as it looks, I think the best way to describe the color of the gravy is orange, which is weird. I had one bite of the biscuit and gravy and it was so bad that the stray cat that jumped on our table did not even want it, but it could have also been because of all the flies because the little fly fan at our table did not work but it also might have been from the constant smell from the sewer drain located right in the seating area. My wife had a chicken bagel egg sandwich- not good....all our food went in the trash. This is not a restaurant it is a disaster, do not believe the positive reviews.
