I happened to drive down the lane to find some more food options and Luna's Chicken n seafood caught my eye. I read the beautiful story of Luna's owner settling here from overseas starting out as a dishwasher and working his way up in the food industry through humble beginnings all because of his family's love and support. I honestly didn't even realize Luna's had Vietnamese roots and thought it was southern style owned and inspired. I got the fried chicken, shrimp and fried cat fish combo with some fries (along with Jamaican jerk and lemony dry seasonings on the side) and let me tell you that it did not disappoint! Everything was prepared fresh and fried to perfection without being too oily along with crispy, golden and fresh French fries. The flavor was savory with the right amount of coating and spices. The pricing is very competitive too and similar to the fast food fried chicken spots around with combos starting $10+ for chicken and mix combos starting $14+. Most people were placing takeout orders but there was a small sitting area on the left if you decide to eat there - and I did. Otherwise the restaurant was clean with kind staff though there was a bit of a wait time because of constant to go orders. The restaurant staff was sweet enough to give me a soda for the wait. Improvements - I hope they improve their food containers because by the time I got my order with pipping hot fried meat combo - the top of the styrofoam containers had melted. Overall, I was satisfied with their food and service. 5/5 for me.

When my order was brought to my table it was just a bun, cheese and a burger. I brought my burger to the counter to make them aware of it, and instead of giving me a new burger they gave me the fixings on the side to put on my burger myself. The person I was with had one complaint, the cheese fires could've been warmer when they brought them out. Other than that the food was enjoyable. I also ordered a make your own concrete with caramel and pecans that was really good! Ice cream is a 10/10.

EVERYONE WANTS THE $$$$$$$ BUT DO NOT WANT TO CONTINUE WITH GOOD SERVICE. I am appalled at this behavior so that's why I cook my own food (Im Italian 100%) and I KNOW what is in my food unlike eating out. I have frequented many restaurants over the years since I was around 18. I'm 70 now and I rarely anymore go out to places to eat. I do love seafood and back in Virginia Beach, VA where I reside (against my better judgment I might add) I was going to the places that I know and have gone to before and I always get the same thing. We have a restaurant there called "The Shaking Crab" and believe it or not it's a Cajun seafood restaurant run by Asians! the shrimp are huge they don't fudge on them and the food is cooked to perfection every time I go there, which really, is the only place I go eat anymore, and that is seldom. The prices are so reasonable it's unreal. They recently hiked up prices like (I get two shrimp basket appetizers corn on the cob a veggie and hush puppies for $24.00. You get two sides with each meal. the very first time I went there I fell in love with the food and its always cooked perfectly and the people are so nice too. There's been a wait staff person a time or two who needed an attitude adjustment but we all have bad days so I let some things slide. Anyway, the wait staff, even management at Culvers don't care what happens if anything is wrong with your orders. I find that unacceptable so the best thing to do is "take names and smack down later" just in case someone spits in your food

The things I like most about Tay's include: the fries, sriracha ketchup, a fun car for kids meals, and of course the burger with all of the available toppings to choose from. I ordered a single with fries. My wife and I decided that we'll probably share next time. We might even get the slider with fries. My son loved the car his burger was served in. The ladies working were so friendly and worked quickly through the long line to get orders placed. We didn't have any issues finding a table to sit. They have plenty of high chairs and booster seats for kids too.

So the food... that's why we really came here. So many people hyped Tay's Burger Shack up that I think it made me set my expectations really high. I tried the Single Cheeseburger with fries, I will say that I didn't find it very special. My least favorite part was the buns, they didn't seem like they were toasted at all. Just your typical old cheeseburger. The fries were not my favorite. It does make a cute date night and maybe late night snack.

This weekend we brought home 2 Supreme Sampler plates. It was loaded with 2 pieces of fish, 2 chicken planks, 6 fried shrimp, 2 hush puppies and 2 sides - we both had slaw and we shared fries and okra. Plenty of deep fried goodness to save for a late night snack also. Besides the overall value and addictive flavor combinations, I love the handful of "crispies" that layer the bottom of the basket - sad to admit but there's nothing better than crunching on a handful of deep fried batter bits. And don't forget the sauce packets - tartar sauce, honey mustard, cocktail sauce, Captain D's dipping sauce, malt vinegar, ketchup, lemon... It's a copious cornucopia of condiments. With 6 items for dipping and 6 dipping options, thats a minimum of 36 different flavor combinations on one platter. Isn't life grand! At the risk of losing any foodie credibility that I've built up over the decades, I'm giving this highly caloric fast-food chain 5 stars for being there for me on those lazy Sunday afternoons - never once have I ever said - "we should have went somewhere else" after bringing home the Captain.

Lots of dessert choices, but we tried a cherry milkshake and it was very creamy and delicious for $5, but wish it was a little bigger for the price. Overall everything was tasty but the prices are definitely a bit high. The location is in a strip mall and feels a bit sketchy especially after dark and being connected to a liquor store.
