We don't have a Whataburger in Tampa, so on vacation whataburger is a must! I ordered their whataburger Patty melt and my husband got their bacon blaze jalapeño double burger. They both did not disappoint and were very delicious. It's my second time eating at whataburger and it's so darn delicious! The customer service was great and the ambiance was great as well. Can't wait for a Whataburger location to open in Florida or I can keep traveling to KC to watch the KC Chiefs play and come and visit Whataburger more often lol read more

Charged me for two fries but I only got one and got a random apple pie I didn't order

I recently tried the buffalo chicken sandwich and wasn't too impressed by it. It's just chicken fingers with too much sauce and not a lot of flavor. I did customize it with Texas toast instead of the bun and I think that helped, but it was still just ok. The chicken sandwiched here are always just ok to me, they really should work on those selections, as many people like me aren't that into burgers. Drive thru only open so far at the Barry Rd location. Both lines were long and moving! They have the order system down. I have only had Whataburger one other time years ago so this was a Friday fun day adventure. Everytime I order a burger over the app for pick up, I tell them to please leave off the cheese. Everytime I'm having to have them remake my food because I can't do dairy. Its funny how they will charge so much extra if you do want cheese, but if you don't you get it all free. Just pay attention. read more

Been to many whataburgers, this one is garbage. Terrible service, staff, including the manager could care less about helping customers. Orders are consistently wrong. Tonight our order sat bagged up back in the kitchen for 20 minutes, just forgotten back there. Only person actually working was the manager. After having Whataburger 15 years ago in TX and 2 years ago in AR; I was not interested in queuing up with the masses for the overhyped burger chain once it came to town. Today I was driving by and noticed only one car in line, so I pulled in. The Sweet and Spicy Bacon Burger was a large cheesy double burger with a sweet pepper sauce and tons of grilled onions and a couple strips of bacon. Very nice and priced right at $8.29; it certainly is a value when you calculate price per calorie. Weighing in at 1095 calories, that's only 1.3 cents per calorie - one hell of a belly busting bargain! Fries were forgettable, in fact I gave 1/2 to my dogs - for what it's worth, they loved them. Even though they drive through was practically empty compared to recent activity - it still took longer that most drive throughs. Compared to other fast food burger joints - I'd place them in the top tier with 5 Guys, Shake Shack and Freddies, but still miles behind Danny's Burger Shack that's just a mile away, independently owned and hasn't received a years worth of free press from the local media. read more

I didn't realize until well after that this was a recently opened location (Barry Rd) and I have to say, knowing that added a star. The line was long, as is everytime I stop at a Whataburger but they managed to move thru rather quick. I only grabbed the regular burger and a fry, and it was fresh and messy like a fast food burger should be. I always enjoy the fries when they come with a "these are really hot" warning...so 10 points for that. Seeing this chain popping all over the KC metro area, I don't quite get the hype for this place. This place at this location is always packed and the drive-thru is always a line. Came here for the first time during late hours. I'm surprised that it open 24/7 here. Was a bit hungry, but after waiting in line, I started to get super hungry. We ordered a spicy chicken sandwich and an apple cranberry chicken salad. I got my order wrong, I asked for spicy chicken on my salad but they gave me grilled chicken instead. First time here, and after the first bite, I can already tell you I am not disappointed. Patrick Mahomes is responsible for bringing Whataburger to Kansas City. I can see why he enjoys it so much. The burger has lots of flavor to it and the right amount of lettuce and tomato. I ordered the onion rings instead of the french fries and dipped them in the creamy pepper sauce. It's a good combination. The size of the drink that you get with the meal is large so there's plenty. This is definitely a place I will go back to what I'm looking for a fast food burger. Tryed Whataburger today for first time. Not busy at the location and service was quick at the drive through. I thought the price was good for what was a decent amount of food. HOWEVER, although the fries were fine, they were not outstanding and then the bun for the burger was way too big. Burger itself had no flavor, was flat and dry, although toppings were plentiful. After reading reviews from others, after the fact, I can see where they are coming from. It truly did not live up to the hype in my opinion. I found it uninteresting and will not return. read more

So far so good. Gave them a try on their grand opening day. I got reasonably good service and the food was all hot and fresh. Obviously it's early but I was extremely impressed at the fact that even after just opening things seemed to be running smoother than the other fast food joints in the area and the food was better. This was my first experience. I am thinking this is more like what the heck a burger. It was terrible. We didn't get anything we ordered. We got home with someone else's order. And it wasn't even mediocre. Limp fries, yucky chicken sandwich yuck yuck. Yuck! We then called the restaurant and told them that we didn't get anything we ordered.
