My family and I went to the Pizza Hut in Newton as we were in town seeing family. I had called a day ahead and reserved the separated dining area. My dad and friend ordered beer with their dinner, and the server came out with two glasses of beer. My husband said that looked good, and asked for beer as well. The server said that they only had two beer glasses, so he would have to wait for his beer, and proceeded to offer other beverages. Either she just didn't want to serve beer, or they really only had two beer glasses total. Which is mind blowing. I ordered a personal pan pizza, cheese with pineapple. The pizza came out piping hot, but the pineapple was cool. It literally was as if they cooked the pizza, then opened a can of pineapple tidbits, and dumped them on. It was horrible. My husband and I got food poisoning. Also, they kept turning on the lights, though one bulb was flickering and making me dizzy, so after going back and forth about turning the lights off after a worker kept coming back to turn them on, we finally ended up saying something. I want to add that it was not dark outside, the light on was not needed. It was disappointing to say the least. It's sad to see how downhill it's gone. Use to be a nice place. read more

Decided J would take the quick route and not wait for delivery. Ordered a small pizza, they said it would take 15-20 minutes. Okay that's cool. Here I am, 45 minutes later sitting outside of Pizza Hut waiting for my pizza. Seems like dominoes will be getting the service. This Pizza Hut has gone under a transformation. I stopped going the do to very poor service. However, we heard the management had changed and things had improved. Service - Excellent. Drink cup never ran dry. Waitress was on the ball. Food - We had the Wednesday evening buffet. The buffet was keep stocked and was clean. Atmosphere - Places was clean and staff seemed to be continually cleaning. This is such a great improvement from what it use to be. read more

We waited an hour and 15 minutes for our delivery. When I finally calle asking where our food was, I was met with horrible customer service. The person on the phone said "uh, sorry". When talking to the manager, she was just has rude. She said, "I have one person with 10 deliveries". I just paid $30 and a tip for food that was cold and subpar. NEVER AGAIN. read more

Hungry for a taco pizza so we headed to this Hut. Pizza was disappointingly over cooked and had very little if any refried beans sauce. Waitress Kristina caused the Tip-O-Meter to drop considerably due to her lighting' slowness and poor attitude. We were one of two tables so not busy. Work on this Hut!! Pizza Hut - What a great pizza!!! - Pizza Near Me - Newton, Kansas

A group of our friends met at this restaurant tonight, as we have done on several other occassions. Our service was terrible. It was so bad it was nearly comical! We arrived at 6:00 PM to find the room we had reserved still occupied. Then we had to seat ourselves in an alternate location. We requested the table to be wiped-that never happened. We sat there for at least 15 minutes before anyone came to take drink orders. At 7:15, our waitress, who we think was brand new (so cutting her some slack) was still coming back to ask questions about our order. By 8:00, all but one of our party had their food, yet their were two mistaken orders when it arrived. Never once did the manager come out to apologize or seek to make this right. Needless to say, we won't be back. read more

Constantly getting orders wrong. I was promised store credit then told that it wasn't available when I tried to use it! Actually the worst place for pizza in Newton. We typically have a great experience with this location. Food is always fresh, hot and made exactly how we ordered it. I ran into a complication with my order being an hour late this last time though but the staff was great with helping me out. I went through their drive through about 5 minutes after my order was supposed to be ready Krishna let me know it would be a little bit before it was ready with I went and waited inside where I was greeted and helped by Cuay. He checked the kitchen a few times for me to see if it was ready yet. After about 45 minutes of waiting Claudia began helping me. She gave me a refund and put in a new order for my food so it was made fresh. This was all during the dinner rush and a shift change but they were all working quickly to help me out, especially Claudia who checked on things multiple times for me. Great job to the Newton staff! The food itself was average at best, but they made it pretty quickly. This was good because it was as a replacement for a caterer that fell through. (I initially left a bad review that was not deserved because they had already refunded me the amount they double-charged.) read more

Horrible service. We placed an online promotional order for delivery to only find out they didn't have the crusts we wanted. Fine. We can work with that. An hour to hour an half goes by and we still haven't recieved our order. So we call to then find out that it was never made. So we go to pick it up, to only be charged the FULL amount, not the promo. Instead the manager tells us he can do a double in store credit. What would I do with that, after this kind of service? He explained that they aren't capable of processing a refund. Until I call to speak with him directly, and listen to every excuse under the sun before he finally states that the refund will be back on my card within the next hour or two. We'll see. If you like to over pay, pick up your delivery and wait longer than necessary to eat then this place is perfect for you. read more

Really poorly ran and usually very filthy. From bathrooms to dining room, expect it to be dirty. The kids play area in the dining room, on the floor, is full of used garage sell toys and stuffed animals, cannot be sanitary, very gross. Service is hit or miss. read more

We have had mixed results with this pizza hut. Sometimes our orders are delivered fast, and great, sometimes they forget one or two small parts of the order. W once had a pizza delivered where the cheese was stuck to the top of the box because the driver put our 2 2-liter pepsi bottles on top of it in the car. Management is receptive to calls with problems, and does their best to fix issues. When we eat in, service is slow but food is great and servers are friendly. 4 stars because they mess up often, but no less than 4 because they do their best to fix it. read more

It was around 4 PM on a Sunday afternoon and only a few tables had anyone seated at them. Every table was dirty, the salad bar was a mess and the room that looked to be reserved for large groups was a horrible mess. There was food all over the floor and table. But yet the whole time we were sitting there waiting for our food, all the employees stood around not bothering to clean up anything. We were seriously considering leaving but kept thinking someone was going to start cleaning the place up for the evening rush but no one ever did. I don't think this is Pizza Hut's standard. Horrible customer service I called twice within 2 weeks around 8 pm each time, the driver said he is not going to bring my pizza because he had to leave and the second time there delivery car mysteriously broke down. Both times I never received a call to let me know they had complications I had to call myself. Someone needs to be responsible and let there staff know that they are adults and this is a business and they need to run it like a business not like a zoo. read more

Terrible. Went to the Friday night buffet they have advertised on their marquee for weeks. At 5:30 the salad bowl was completely empty for 45 minutes. Selection of the pizza selection was poor and they were only cranking out one pizza every 15 minutes. There was zero pasta, zero breadsticks.... the servers were running around like chickens with their heads cut off-trying but unaware as to how to remedy the situation. No organization, or leadership. Just went here to order some wings, there was maybe four tables in the establishment at the time, we ordered our wings, about 20 minutes later our waitress informs us that our wings we ordered had been given to the wrong table and that that table had completely finished them, a couple minutes later the other table is brought out their correct wings and is told by their waitress that their wings have been completely comped off and taken care of. Our wings that we have yet to receive still left at full price and completely missing are still MIA. While the other table with two orders of wings, one free, got the other for free now as well. Hm, so 15 minutes later the server comes out and says we are just now dropping your wings after waiting almost 40 minutes, I asked can you take them off and just never mind them she said uhhhh I can give you 20% discount. Which was only about a dollar or two. Moral of the story I left with no wings and no manager apology or anything and wasted almost an hour watching other people eat my food. My family has sworn off this pizza hut. Everytime we have ordered in the last couple of years, our pizza was terrible. I'm pregnant and all night I was thinking about a stuffed crust pizza though. So I order one online for pickup. Get there about 5 minutes after the ready for pickup time I was given. Sit in the drive thru behind another car (who was honki ng his horn trying to get an employee's attention) for about 10mins before he gets frustrated and leaves. I pull up and sit for about 7 more minutes. See NO ONE in the store. I call their number and am automatically put on hold "for the next available employee". Obviously because they were so incredibly busy. FINALLY someone answers. At this point I let her know I was to cancel my order and that she now had TWO customers just drive off. Thank God THAT craving was squashed. Never again. read more

It is unfortunate that there is such horrible customer service at this Pizza Hut since it is now the only one in town. After calling to complain that my card had been overcharged by $12, the manager (Mike) was very confrontational and rude. I reiterated that all I was asking for was an apology from Pizza Hut for my poor experience, and he adamantly refused, stating that I "must have ordered wrong". I have ordered here 2 times. Both times the order was delivered 45 minutes to an hour late, the order was wrong, and was ice cold.
