I placed an order online on 5/15/22 and was told by my husband when I arrived home from work that the pizza and the cheese sticks were hard. He and my son picked around the pizza to eat the toppings and discarded everything else. Upon calling the store on 5/16/22 because they were closed when I arrived home the night I purchased the items, I spoke with the store manager, who was rude and questioned me like I was lying about my experience. I ordered from this store several times and never had this experience, and I don't appreciate how I was being treated. The manager started by stating it was nothing she could do because she needed the pizza back to send to quality control. The manager said several times that the pizza arrived to me within 20 minutes, so she didn't understand how it could have been hard. I stated neither do I, but it was my experience. She also asked why my husband didn't call the store last night to talk about his experience. I don't appreciate being interrogated about my experience. After asking to speak with her supervisor, I was told there's no one above her. Then I was told that I could receive a $20.00 credit. I stated I still needed to speak with someone, so she said ok, I will take the credit back; you can go online and make your complaint at pizzahut.com. Her behavior was very unacceptable. The manager presented me with one lie after another. I will not do business with this location again. I will just conduct business with Papa Johns. I suggest this manager receive training on effectively handling customers' complaints/concerns with empathy and not prejudice. I wanted lunch with a side of crystal meth so what better option is there besides Palatka for this combo? I wasn't feeling too adventurous (or WAS I???) so I headed to the local pizza hut. Well guess what... this pizza hut doesn't serve meth. In fact, the restaurant was clean, the staff was beyond polite and the food came out hot and fast. This location was on our way back from a quick trip to St Augustine, through Palatka. We stopped here and ordered a special $6.99 each, any toppings, must buy two. No big deal, it should be good. It's Pizza Hut. Well, how about two supremes, one without onion. My guess is that because there was no one in there at 6:00pm on a Saturday evening, they were in a rush (?) and brought out two pizzas just barely cooked. Hot enough to melt cheese, but doughy. One pizza has twice as much of the other toppings than the one without onion. It's like, ask for no onion and you get little of everything else too. It seems there is little cheese and sauce, too. I guess it's been a while since I ate Pizza Hut. We usually just order from HH in our local area. We ate what we could, and when the waitress finally came back, we asked for a medium box. No medium boxes allowed to go. We get personal pan go boxes. And stuff what we can into two boxes. This location has the typical "minimum wage" type worker attitude, unfortunately. I understand you want $15 an hour to do this type of job, but have some enthusiasm, and really take care of the customer. That sparks raises, people, trust me. Sorry for the rant there. This Palatka Florida Pizza Hut is the worst. I believe they intentionally run low on stock to charge you a bigger price to make more money. Example, 10 dollar pizza. Any size, any time. Not true with this place. I called and tried to order 2 large pan pizzas. they said they were out of large pan pizza and only had medium. I asked what was the price for that. They told me same price. I asked about a discount because I will now have to order another pizza to feed the people at my house(Have to buy 3 pizzas instead of 2). Economy is tuff and we palnned on this meal to feed my family and disable father. We had hot dogs and beans because we didnt have anything in house. Instead of the saying"Its our fault that we didnt do enough prep and will discount (only the price difference between ordering a large or medium), they told me no. Pay full price and get a medium. Talked to 2 managers about this issue.They were not bending even though I made sense! Are you kidding me? It does say any size, any toppings! What a joke and will never go to a place where they care about making more profits on one transaction instead of making the customer happy causing repeat business. Thought the saying was "Customer always right." I'm not being unreasonable! If I am, then they are being unreasonable by charging us different prices for different sizes. Very poor pizza. Customer service is very disappointing. Waitstaff is very uninviting. Employees don't seem to care about customer service.take exceptionally long time for pizzas or indoor wings to come out of the kitchen. Quality of the pizza is subpar. read more
