One of the few places in St Augustine open late for food other than Denny's or an Americana restaurant. I ordered the chicken bites and garlic knots. The knots were drowned in a flavourless oil with some garlic. I threw them out. They did however have good ranch and hot sauce for the chicken. I would give them a second chance w the pizza if I was in a pinch for a late night meal. read more

Shoutout to our local community heroes!!! We are so grateful for this venues fast delivery of quality products!!! We needed this today! A busy weekend after weeks of holiday travel... thank you for this amazing save Five Star Pizza! We had a flyer in the mail for a free large pizza and the reviews have been fantastic. We opted for the family special once I created a pizza profile. A large 2-topping, garlic bread, and a 2-Liter soda!!! My husband made it home just in time to get the pizza hot and fresh!!! He made me look forward to my first bite as he enthusiastically said, "We can order from this place anytime! This is some of the best pizza that I've had in a while!". I definitely do agree!!! The cheese pull was perfect!! I loved the spice level in the pepperoni!!! And it was thin slices so they crisped up magnificently!!! The crust was the quality!!! Cooked well and the texture was wonderful!!! Not burnt or gooey... I am very picky. I was impressed! Their garlic bread (made daily) was generously swimming in their secret recipe garlic butter! Yummm! Then, the hot wings that we added to our dinner were cooked well-done as we ordered. Yay!!! This all washed down perfectly with our cold bottle of Pepsi!!! Yay!! We stopped by late one night to pick up a pie we ordered because nothing else was opened. The pizza we got had mushrooms and jalapeños and it tasted very good. My girlfriend also got buffalo wings and she loved them. It was a very tasty pizza, but typical for places like this that are opened late. I wouldn't say no to it if someone put it in front of me. The inside area is for take out and delivery and nothing more. I enjoyed it though, so all love. It's a solid 6.9 Enjoy :D read more

We ordered late night as we got back from being out and were starving! The delivery arrived quickly and it was easy to pick up. We ordered a thin crust pizza with pepperoni and bacon. I can appreciate a good thin crust pizza but it was a little too greasy for me. Overall satiated our hunger and hit the spot. read more

We're stuck in the hotel while visiting family in St. Augustine area and since we were hungry, I called the front desk to ask for a local pizza place recommendation. So, they told me Five Star is great, they order from them also and delivers to the hotel, they know the drill and come up to your room. So I called them, I got nice service over the phone and ordered a large pizza with black olives and pepperoni. Delivery isn't the fastest, but they did show up and did their job OK, I know distances are a tad longer. We were happy to see the delivery guy. No frills. Pizza is good, better than expected, had 2 slices left over. For 2 people I'd get a Medium instead of Large if you don't eat a lot. Glad we tried a local pizza joint. They misspelled my name to a ridiculous degree on receipts, but that turned into a family joke, no offense taken. Good, solid pizza if you live or travel in the area. It's been over a year since I ordered from five star Pizza. I felt that their quality and their taste had really gone downhill I received a $12 coupon and decided okay let's give them a try one small Hawaiian pizza 10 wings mild. The Pizza showed up with a side of blue cheese dressing. No wings. The pizza arrived at 5:43 and the things arrived at 6pm. Both warm, not hot, warm. A free large 1 topping pizza to make up for the lousy meal that you sent out in the first place. I won't be using your free coupon as I will simply be DISAPPOINTED again with what should now be named 1 star pizza. If I had not had a glass of wine i would be in my vehicle driving to your location to show you just how disgusting your food is. The pizza was not even cut all the way on ANY slice. read more

We just got home from 2 weeks in Cancún with delayed and re-routed flights, an overnight in Charlotte and long hours waiting around in airports. No energy for making dinner or going out so we ordered from these guys and the pizza was here in a flash! Couldn't believe how fast they delivered our well done meatball pizza with 1/2 onions and banana peppers. It was a perfect thin crust and crispy. We also ordered the hot wings (which to me weren't very hot) but still very good. It's not our first time ordering from them and we liked it before as well. I called and asked if they have the back to school special and rather than answer my question the employee on the phone had a childish attitude and kept saying that it was self-explanatory and that it was only for kids going to school and it was pretty self-explanatory what's funny is if I drove up there that same idiot would not keep the same energy and say the same thing this place is really trashy and stupid And so are the idiots that they have answering the phone read more

This is the only pizza places we found open on a Saturday night after 9pm. Seriously! This place rolls up the sidewalks early. 5 star is a small shop, not in the historic district but close enough to get to in about 10 minutes. They may deliver as well, we didn't ask because we were already in the car coming back from a sunset boat tour. Anyway, we called it in and picked up. We got two large pizzas, one meat lovers and one supreme because I like veggies on my pizza. The crust is good, the toppings are fresh and we were very happy it wasn't like the big chain pizza places because we don't like most of those. read more

It's 2am and your blasted in St Augy after a night of boozing. Nothing is open except 5 star pizza and they produce elite level drunken pizza. Please don't ask me to give a legitimate pizza review because it will not be so kind. For what they are and what you're looking for at a very late hour it is convenient and during the moments of inebriation it is good pizza for sure. read more

Takeout order. I was not expecting a football field sized pizza to be delivered!! The size is just massive. Surprisingly the taste was not sacrificed like most places that create monster foods and the quality goes downhill. The pizza was large enough to feed 9 of us, with two smaller pieces to spare. The garlic knots were my favorite. Hard crust, soft dough on the inside sitting in a puddle of oil and garlic. Addicting. After going to three pizza places that were closed in St Augustine on a Monday night, We went to Five Star Pizza and was alarmed that they didn't have dine in. Then we were shocked to learn that 5 star pizza had only 4 stars on Yelp. Then we ordered our pizzas, and we laughed at by the young staff for my friends names which were Larry, Habersham and Elmo. After sitting in the parking area waiting for the pizzas, the employee had to go across the street to get mushrooms for everyone else's pizza after us. After this great adventure, the pizza was amazing and the staff was a lot of fun with us. read more

My husband and I ordered pizza twice on our vacation. The first time was around midnight and they were one of the only places still open. The pizza was ready when we got there 15 min later and it was good! The second time we got it delivered to our condo and I could not believe how fast the delivery was, it came within 25 minutes of placing our order and we are 10-15 minutes away. We also got the garlic rolls the second time and they were awesome. The pizza is some of the best I've had anywhere and the prices are reasonable! Now onto the pizza, overall I enjoyed the grandma's pizza. I thought it was flavorful and the tomato sauce on it was delicious. The cheese pizza was pretty good too. The slices are big and filling. The crust was thin but held its structure, and still folded easily in your hand the way a good slice should. The one thing I noted (and basically how all overpriced pizza places are) was that there was no seasoning on the crust at all. We're big fans of Domino's garlic crust, so that was a little disappointing. The sauce had a nice flavor to it, but nothing particularly memorable. I'll be honest though. I can't say for certain how much of our enjoyment was the pizza itself versus the fact that we were starving at that point. You should've heard my mom's comments about "I feel like my stomach is eating itself" lol. My mom gave it 2/5 stars and my brother gave it 3/5, so somewhere in that range feels about right to me. It's also not cheap for what you get, so just keep that in mind going in. That said, if you're nearby and need a straightforward pizza fix, it'll do the job.

Very friendly staff. The restaurant is very small and seems quite popular. We ordered the Caprese with fresh mozzarella, tomatoes , and basil and added meatball. Also asked for a side of Marinara. This was an awesome pizza very tasty although hubby said it needed more meatballs and tomatoes. We will definitely return and highly recommend.
