We have gone here several times and have always had a great experience. The staff is always very friendly and attentive to any needs. Food is always served very fast, consistently correct and consistently very good. The inside is very open and plenty of seating, always cleaned tables and easy parking on both sides of the property and decorated pretty typical of a "pizza joint".. They have a great deal on a pizza special, but e get another for $8 bucks more!! We have done this and taken the other home and frozen for a later time, still perfect. Stopped here to support a local business instead of a chain, and kind of wished I had stopped at a chain. Placed an order for a sub, baklava, and ravioli dinner. Took over 45 minutes after placing my order to receive my food despite people walking in after me and being seated receiving what they had ordered after me placing my order. Cashier was friendly but I wouldn't say pleasant; kind of felt like me ordering was an inconvenience to her. I was asked three times while waiting for my order what my order was and then no one followed up to tell me when it would be ready. Once I received my order after asking about it again, I thankfully doublechecked once getting to the car and they had forgotten my baklava. So back in again. Overall I spent close to an hour or so here waiting for a take out order. The inside is dated but feels like a classic home restaurant. The sub I got was about $11 I believe (I could be wrong I can't recall the menu prices exactly) and while it was good, it wasn't $11 good. My mom did enjoy the ravioli and the baklava was good. Overall, I wouldn't stop back in here but I can see it's a local favorite. I say give it a try cause it might be for you, but it wasn't for me. read more

The service is great an the food comes out quick. My husband and I both had the special. The personal pizza with a side salad which was a great salad. It was more food then you think. We always order the baked ziti and sausage with extra garlic bread, it's so good! It's a great deal and you get a lot for the price. Good percentage of the time have hard time finishing it. Service is nominally pretty quick. Every once in a while they're really busy and you may have to wait a few minutes for service. The kitchen is usually pretty quick too. We found this location on our way to St. Augustine's, about 40 minutes away. As we were passing it we noticed the parking lot was packed and customers were coming and going. We figured with that kind of traffic it had to be good. We were not disappointed. Upon entering the location it is a bit outdated but in a cozy feel kinda way. We were greeted right away and advised to allow two minutes to clean a table. It took less than that and we were seated. The service the entire time was very courteous and attentive. They offer a few lunch specials that honestly were great for the prices! We decided to go with the mini pizzas and they were delicious! My kids even begged to go back as we left St. Augustine's! We are hoping to make this a yearly trip and we look forward to adding Niko's to that yearly tradition! read more

I'll start with saying that you don't really come here for a high end, luxury dining experience; you come for some good ol' greasy pizza. And that's exactly what you get. We ordered some garlic bread and a 14" half cheese, half pepperoni pizza and our waitress told us you can get another pizza for $5.50. Good deal since the first is $16! The food was good and I liked that the bread came with some marinara for dipping. The pizza had good flavor but was just drenched in grease. I'm not one to dab off the grease, but in this case I just had to. They also have some interesting policies. Like for wine you're only allowed max 3 (wonder what happened to have to implement that), ¢10 for Andes mints at the register, and for any toppings at all it's $1.49 for a 10" pizza and $2.25 for a 14". That seems a little steep for even one topping. They could offer many one included and then charge after that or make it a little cheaper. The staff was nice and pretty attentive. They were really quick with our food and getting refills. The inside and the bathrooms were a little outdated and could use some attention, but again, this isn't exactly a super fancy establishment. Overall we'd probably come back. Especially with the lack of options in Palatka! read more

Niko's is one of what I consider the top two places to eat out in Putnam County. I went with my mom and hadn't dined in for several years. I order from Niko's on a regular basis. Their delivery is always fast and the food is always hot. Delivery people are polite and the one time they forgot something the delivery person went right back and got it and was back at my house in less than 15 minutes. The dine in experience was exactly what I expected. The service was excellent as was the food. The waitress did take my order wrong and brought me the lunch special instead of a full size salad and a half sub. She offered to fix it right away but I declined because I'd forgotten how big the half salad really is and I had plenty of food. Dine in does get a little loud sometimes so I can see why she would have written the wrong thing down and my mom ordered the lunch special so she could easily have thought I was ordering the same. We got a takeout order for my son. It was there as soon as we were finished eating and it was hot and fresh. They didn't make it as soon as we ordered and leave it sitting to get cold like some places will. If you're eating on a budget, the lunch special is an excellent option. About $10 for a salad, hot sub, and good sized sweet tea. Nikos is absolutely top notch all the way around. read more

Another local favorite! This is a wonderful, locally owned restaurant in P-town. I used to love that they delivered everything from past and salads to pizza and grinders. Not many places deliver such a wide variety any more. The food is always fresh and has great flavors. The atmosphere is definitely nothing to write home about, but if you like mom and pop places, you will love this. This is kind of a little restaurant one would drive-by (on Hwy 19 South) on their way to a national Italian restaurant chain. Not much on the old looking outside but it's what's inside (great food!) that counts. A family friendly (kids too) restaurant with a casual interior look. Famous for their pizzas, they also offer grinders, subs, pastas, salads, daily lunch and eat-in specials. My only disappoint is that there are no calzones or strombolis. On the outskirts of town there's a small pizza shop known for its grinders and mozzarella sticks. They seem to be some of the best in all of Putnum county. I've been coming here for over 20 years and this is one of my favorite pizza palaces. I don't know maybe it's in the water. They have some of the best grinder sandwiches And tonight we're having an Italian combination grinder, cheese pizza, house salad with house dressing, and Baklava!! Also The pizzas here are fabulous we had a small cheese pizza I was done very well. The crust is very crisp the cheese is good with mozzarella and the tangy tomato sauce is very good. It's just a tasty pizza all the way through. After talking to several other customers they also recommend the pastas, which we did not get a chance to sample tonight but they recommended the manicotti, stuffed shells and Spanakopita. This restaurant is well worth the drive coming from Orange Park or even Jacksonville to get a taste of Palatka's hidden treasure. This restaurants that been around for over 20 years and I believe it was established in the early 80's, probably around 1983 this is a great little treasure in Palatka. It's a great drive down here and a great visit for some of the best pizza, pasta, and grinders you can find!! read more
