This is what the driver texted me about my pizza while he was waiting for it: "I heard them say to just use the pizza that didn't get picked up and add the stuff on it so it can be done." Who does that? The dasher told me it was the manager who said to do it. The dasher looked out for me, though, and stayed to make sure i got a fresh pizza. order was wrong and realizing mistakes happen, we called the store to have it taken care of. however we were told that there would be another delivery charge or we could come and pickup the balance of the order. from there things went down hill, next it was suggested that the doordash driver may have been hungry and taken it for themself. after asking to speak to the manager, who told me he had car trouble and listening to all the reasons it wasn't Pizza Hut's responsibility to make this right. the young lady on the phone made the delivery. from initial order time to second delivery was well over an hour. While I lived in Shippensburg, I ordered frequently from this Pizza Hut. Every time I placed an order, the wait was consistently 20 minutes or less. It was great, especially when I was pregnant and dealing with cravings! I've always loved Pizza Hut pan pizzas and stuffed crust pizzas more than any other style. Pizza hut in shippensburg pa is horrible! First, the call gets outsourced to wherever...but their English is terrible. They can't understand you, they mess up your order, they can't communicate back with you, and consequently put the order in wrong. Then, of course when you go to pick it up, it's incorrect, so...you have to wait for them to redo it. So, since they rush it, it gets burnt. Will NOT be ordering there again!!! read more

This Pizza Hut is horrible!!! Every time I call in an order for pickup I end up waiting there 20-30 min... now part of this is due to it always being busy but the screen says that my name along with many others order is ready, yet there's a crowd of ppl standing there waiting and waiting. Also the warmer thing that they keep the pizzas in was full but none of the employees were eager to check to see if any of the food that was ready belonged to any of the 15 ppl standing there waiting. Then when I finally got my pizza it was sliced very poorly, like one slice was 2 slices, and this is bc the employees are in a hurry and just don't care. It's a chain restaurant, so you can't have high expectations. I come here after work to take a pizza or dinner box home from time to time because it is cheap. Greasy, but good enough. They serve beer here, and there is carry-out as well - mostly major domestic beers in cans. This location also has the "Wingstreet Wings." If you want delicious pizza and are willing to spend upwards of $20 per pie, go to Pizza Man or Brothers. If you're on a budget and low on time, this will do. The four out of five stars is due to the fact that this is the best Pizza Hut I have been to. Most Pizza Huts suck. read more

Again, one of the reviews offended me and I could not leave this unanswered because I am a loyal and very long term Pizza Hut patron for over 40 years. This is in response to one of the reviews which says ** sucks. It does not! I have had positive experiences with the chain. It's been many years, but I believe I probably ate at the Shippensburg location. "You can't have high expectations because 'it's a chain.'" Not true either, IMO.
