We were staying at the local Holiday Inn and there were several menus in the lobby from Alfredo's. There were plenty of choices for us to each get what we wanted, so we decided to try Alfredo's. Eh it wasn't bad New York pizza is better. We got a veggie lover's that was ok & got Sicilian which was much better. My husband and I were in town for a camp meeting and will, we were hungry. Decided to try Alfredo's and was not disappointed. He ordered the cheesesteak and said he believes it is the best he has ever had. He said the bread was just the way you would want it and the meat was more than plentiful, the fixing just right. Some friends at work recommended I try this place so I finally did. First time I order, they mess up a simple two topping pizza order. Pineapple instead of pepperoni? Our first time eating at Alfredo's. My family wasn't disappointed. The food was delicious (fettuccini alfredo, bambino pizza, bacon chicken ranch wrap, lasagna). It was our waitress' second night and she did fine. We did have a problem and it was immediately fixed- all you have to do is say something and the owner will make sure it's corrected. We really appreciated the owner coming out to not only make sure the problem was fixed but took the time and talked with us. My twin 10 year old girls really enjoyed talking with Mr. Sal. Where to start, ordered a spaghetti dinner w/salad and garlic bread, andca Stromboli for pick up. When I got home no salad, garlic bread was a sub roll not even toasted, the spaghetti was a huge glomp of hamburger on top dry enough sauce to make it look like BBQ, no sauce for spaghetti. Alfredo's Pizza makes good pizzeria food, but that is not what this review is about. I came in last evening to pick up an order from Slice. There was a man sweeping under the booths and another man (fifties, greasy, thick glasses) standing around taking up air and space. The standing around man was talking to the sweeping man, and he appeared to be rating the looks of the other (not present) staff. He said, "You remember the girl who was kind of skinny, but had a really nice rack?" He then held his idle hands several inches in front of his chest to mimic breasts. The sweeping man then noticed me, a customer. As the sweeping man got up, the idle man said, "Yeah! Her name was (redacted)." When the sweeping man reached the counter, I gestured to the idle pervert and said, "Wow, He's pleasant." The sweeping man did not address my comment, but was very flustered and could not find my order for several minutes. I write this here because it is patently inappropriate behavior for a professional business and because I know of at least two underage girls who have worked at Alfredo's. If the people in charge there cannot stand up to a greasy fifty-something wearing coke bottle glasses and protect their staff, someone should say something. read more

So - the Hubs and I stopped at Best Western in Shippensburg and this restaurant was recommended by the desk clerk. I found their web site and ordered online. The ordering process was easy. Food was supposed to be delivered in under an hour but was 15-20 minutes late. No big deal - but - I ordered a Greek salad with house dressing. Great salad - but no dressing on it or included. I also ordered a veggie calzone. Got a great calzone with no veggies and full of meat. Hmm... Hubs had a bambino meat lover's pizza - very good, he said. There are some restaurants that try very hard to produce good products, and still fail, for a myriad of reasons - overreaching ambition, cutting costs, ineptitude, etc. But usually you can *taste* something. At least they are trying. But there is nothing worse than a restaurant that doesn't give a damn. Alfredo's Pizza tastes like apathy. Like every other eatery in Shippensburg, Alfredo's specializes in bland-flavored food in large portions that fell off the back of a Sisco Foods truck. I seriously doubt they actually *make* anything that didn't already come in a package. If you enjoy large portions of sub-standard, pre-made Italian food at cheap prices - like most of the small town yokels in this Godforsaken backwater of a town - Alfredo's is for you. I can give you a good review because, well, I really liked their food, but all I eat there is a gyro and fries. Yes, i know, in many ways, I am a creature of habit. They have a HUGE menu... I had heard good things about the buffalo chicken pizza so I decided to give it a try. In fact it is a good pizza. The chicken chunks are HUGE and the buffalo sauce is very tangy and works well with the whole pie. I like the crust too, which I believe makes or breaks a pizza. I had the stuffed pizza. It was delicious and very filling. A large pizza can easily feed 4 adults.

For along time I believed that places like Pizza Hut and Dominoes were the prime examples of what pizza should be, and boy was I wrong. Living in this relatively small college town I was thrilled to discover this excellent little Italian restaurant that not only has the best pizza in town but also serves the best pasta dishes in town. No more having to settle for cheap, franchised pizza. The food is delicious, the servings are large, and you can taste the difference in their handmade bread and dough! Its fantastic. It is certainly more expensive than places like Pizza Hut, id say an average of $20/pizza, but if your goal is to have authentic Italian New York style, handmade pizza you just cant get any better. I cant think of any pizza places even in Chambersburg that is better. Alfredo's is best in the area, period. Also, its BYOB, so If you plan ahead for dine-in you'll be able to enjoy even more. I live near this Alfredo's location and have enjoyed several traditional peperoni pizzas. Most recently, I decided to try the Buffalo Pizza which was so well reviewed here on Yelp. What a disappointment! First of all, this was a chicken and cheese pizza with buffalo suce drizzled over it (NOT a buffalo chicken pizza). They really need to marinate or toss their chicken pieces in the buffalo sauce -- as it is it the chicken was dry and flavorless. I also have to take issue with the fact that there was no dressing of any kind on the pizza or on the side. I really don't think you can have a buffalo chicken pizza without ranch or blue cheese dressing. They also also apparently no longer offer breadsticks (which I've had in the past and were quite good) or the people taking phone orders don't know the menu. read more

First they messed the order for the to go pizza up (Glade I checked it before leaving) no worries they wanted to make it right so they made us another pizza, got it right this time. Still disappointed when we got home and the crust was doughy probably because it was rushed. Had to put on a pizza stone in our oven to finish cooking it. Will give them one more try after this.
