A family owned business since 1970, for families today that find it hard to find an affordable place. This place gets high marks for food, service (Madilyn) ambiance and most importantly, value. Their pasta dishes and pizza are out of this world. The entrance to the main dining room is an archway that leads to a modest area with dimmed lighting and a warm temperature room. I'd like to begin by saying this place speaks for itself. I would highly recommend this restaurant as it offers everything one could desire from an Italian restaurant - great atmosphere, friendly employees, fair prices but also delicious Italian food. As for my personal experience, during the late winter and early spring months of 2023, I was experiencing a medical situation that completely eliminated my desire to eat anything or drink anything. I had lost about 60 lbs in 5 months or so and I was loosing hope. By some Italian miracle, my mother ordered us pizza king and told me I didn't have to eat it but it would be there if I wanted it. Thanks to that chicken cutlet sandwich, I've gained some weight back and my appetite has almost fully returned. - I cannot stress enough how little I was eating because all food repulsed me, yet this sandwich was the beginning of my road to recovery and I could not be more grateful for these people. I love that it's open later than some of the other pizza shops so that I can satisfy my plain slice cravings. Cheesesteak Pizza is a winner. The pizza had this look of a real cheesesteak, with the orange-yellow cheese sauce on top of shaved steak, yellow bell peppers, onion and mozzarella -- simply stunning. Walked in and ordered takeout. After a long indecisive battle, I ended up getting half veggie and half chicken francese (instead of chicken bacon ranch). And an order of the eggplant Parm with a side of linguine pasta (comes with the entree. You can choose between pasta or salad. I love carbs so pasta duh.lol) Everyone was friendly. Super patient and overall great team. That alone made me like the place. It took around 25minutes to come out. A little long but the food was fresh and delicious so I'm not complaining. But if you're in a rush or ordered for delivery, you may be waiting a little. Just a heads up. The guy in front of me just got a plain pizza and 2 soups and his order came out super quick (prob less than 15 minutes). I was there around 7:15pm. There weren't a lot of "by the slice" pizza options available. Maybe 2 or 3 choices (not full pies) and didn't seem fresh out of the oven. Not sure if they'll make one for you if the pizza you want one that isn't there. Not sure. The food was delicious! It wasn't super greasy and the crust/dough was so good! (I usually judge a pizza but its dough). Also the bread that came with the entree was fluffy and good too. The chicken francese looks greasy and heavy BUT it wasn't as heavy as I imagined it to be. The ingredients (esp with the veggie side) was fresh as well. Eggplant Parm was great as well. The marinara was fresh and you can tell it's homemade. And the eggplant itself if yum! The linguine that came with it was super simple. Pasta with marinara over it. I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting much of it but to my surprise it was good! Their marinara sauce is everything! Just give me bread and the sauce. I'll be content.lol. Although this was a lot of food, I was FULL but didn't feel gross. Which is a huge plus! I'm happy this place is close to where I live. Didn't eat here in person, it was just delivery so all I can say is delivery was quick, the pizza hot, and taste was ok. It was fairly priced, inexpensive and tasted much like an inexpensive pie. I thought it was somewhere in the quality range above a $1 slice and below some of the better pizza I've had. But again it's priced accordingly in my opinion and it wasn't bad. I would repeat, depending on my mood and budget given the other joints in the hood. Their Italian entrees are fairly priced so next time maybe I'll try a chicken parmigiana or something. read more

Now I have a baby and she will have the opportunity to grow up with pizza kings deliciousness! Thanks Natalie! My wife and I had a meatball hero, grilled chicken with ziti, and a cold antipasto. After all these years, the cold antipasto looked and tasted exactly how it did years ago! The restraint itself has had a major face lift and then some. Much nicer chairs and tables, the restaurant is bright and tiled instead of dark and with that weird stucco or whatever it was on the walls. I'vee lived in the area since 1973 so I've grown up with Pizza King. Well, I guess I grew up but thankfully Pizza King has only changed for the better. The food has always been excellent. It's the decor that's changed. Was there today with a party of nine for a gender reveal party. We had pizza, antipasto, baked ziti with the best meatballs. I used to go here with my parents when Charlie ran the place. Well Natalie ran Charlie and Charlie made the best food. The mantle has been transferred to their son Rob who carries on the tradition. When I came in the gentlemen at the cash register was taking an order by phone but was talking it up with the customer making me wait more than I wanted. He was acting like a big shot on the phone. Secondly I noticed he was sweaty and touching his forehead a lot and I didn't want him touch my pizza. Yuck. He also wasn't wearing a mask or gloves. The food is good, it is reasonable. We went last night and for about $34, we have enough food for like 3 days worth of leftover. We ordered garlic knots, parmesan sticks, pasta with meatballs and a single pie Pepperoni pizza. The portions were huge, the people were friendly. And as I said, it's a large amount of food so they do not skimp on the serving sizes. It's also BYOB. The people are nice. I like supporting local businesses if I can, and after the pandemic, most people could use more business. Anyway, we came here before they took a hiatus, and we've now come back. This local Italian Pizzeria restaurant holds a special place for our family. Having opened in 1970 my family and I spent many casual evenings celebrating the milestones of our lives, birthdays, holidays, etc., enjoying their excellent Italian food and Pizza. When it closed we were heartbroken. Needless to say were we ecstatic to hear that the original family gave the place a nice face lift and celebrated their Grand Re-opening around three weeks ago. Of course, we had to go back and check it out for ourselves..... This is a BYOB, casual dining Pizzeria and restaurant. The decor is pleasant yet not overbearing with the re-modeling moving the pizza ovens and entire kitchen to the rear of the place allowing for additional seating. The menu remains intact and basic, typical Italian fare with daily specials on the board. While we intend to try the pizza in a subsequent visit, the dishes we had were excellent. Freshly prepared and very tasty with ample portions to satisfy the heartiest of appetites. Pricing is very reasonable as well. With Pizza King now under the leadership of the original owner's son Ron Brusco this venue will no doubt regain it's position as one of the area's favorite Italian Food venues. Recognizing this is a re-boot and only open three weeks the service was a bit haphazard and these thoughts are offered as constructive criticism.... In an Italian restaurant the bread is important, and it should be on the table almost immediately after the guests sit down, and especially while enjoying a salad.The quality of the bread offered at our visit was not very good, and with all the excellent Italian Bakeries in the area, something that should be easy to correct. Olive Oil, etc. for bread dunking should be in decanters on the table! Overall, the service issues were minor and will improve with time and experience of the wait staff. They were pleasant on the phone. They even helped deliver the food because it took over an hour. I am not complaining about their service. Their service and customer appreciation is 5 star. But our food was warm to table and then cold by the 2nd bite. We ordered a Hawaiian pizza, a tuna sub with LTO oil and vinegar, and a chicken parmigiana. Nothing fancy. The chicken Parmesan was literally a super thin slice of over cooked chicken on a roll. Very disappointing. The tuna sandwich had little to no vinegar and they forgot to put any onions on it, and the lettuce was sparse like they were trying to save money. And the pizza lacked even distribution. Everything was cluttered in the middle. That means your first 3 bites of every slice has something and the other 70% of each slice is plain. This all took an hour and twenty minutes. I'm a restaurateur. They need to pick up their game and address these issues. If not, they won't last that long... this is not a complaint, just stating facts they need to improve on...or else they'll be out of business. read more

I Think the food is very tasty. I ordered a meatball parm,a side of meatballs an a cheesesteak hero. I was happy with the delivery and the quality. My only complaint was that the cheesesteak sub was quite skimpy and not enough steak. It almost looked like they ran out of steak and made the sandwich anyway. We ordered a sampler pizza, and every bite was a slice of heaven. Crisp crust with good body that never got soggy, and exquisite toppings. Owner Rob greeted everyone who came through the door, and the service was quick and friendly.
