We have ordered from Nova Pizza and Pasta a few times - the pizza is delicious. I have tried different pizzerias and Nova's has the best crust I have had so far too. Soft, oven crisp crust satisfaction. We always order between two or three pizzas. The order I get is the Margherita pizza. When asking for extra basil, I appreciate the amount added on the pizza. I've been coming here since 2010 and never had an issue food amazing. Employees great But today was a completely different experience. The younger staff had a clear attitude--sarcastic tone talking among themselves, Meanwhile, the place wasn't being maintained at all. The garbage was completely overflowing, with trash all over the floor I couldn't even throw out a napkin. There's no excuse for that, especially with multiple employees standing around. Attended a local gathering where pizza was purchased from Nova Pizza & Pasta. Was told by another guest the pizza could be salty. Fortunately, it wasn't salty! Unfortunately, while not salty, the pizza had basically no taste! Glad I had my own crushed red pepper to give the pizza some flavor! Okay there are a number of pizza slice joints. This place is great. Fort lee is a transition point from New Hampshire since we avoid 95 to go across the GW bridge and the city. So why not get a slice that is not really out of the way. It is right on and off the 95 on Lemoine Avenue. It is well worth the tiny detour. Ok, lets talk about the slice. It is decently LARGE SLICE. i got a regular slice, a mushroom slice and the wife got the Margherita for $11 bucks. My only complaint is it could have been left in the oven another minute. My family and I go for the $7 deal. After the second visit asked to apply pepperoni to 2 slices. I was told it would be $3 extra for the two slices. So never mind that. I'm good. We visit a 3rd time and go for the deal. Not only does the emo kid behind the register does not want to give us the deal but also does a speed walk past our table to grab the spices to put them back and speed walks back to behind the counter. Went for Fort Lee Summer Happy Hours Food - 5/5. Meat supreme pizza was loaded with toppings as well as a good amount of sauce and cheese. The sauce went really well with all the meat as the tartness cut through the fat. Of the toppings, the meatball was my favorite as it has a good meaty yet soft bite and just the right amount of crust for texture. Service - 4/5. Quick and courteous. Value - 5/5. In my opinion, their pizza is not terrible. I've ordered large mushroom pies more than a dozen times since I live close by. However, their salads and buffalo wings are wack!! Wings are dry as heck and salads are skimpy. What really bothers me about this place is, if the total comes out to $21.31, they'll say it's $21.35. They round up the cents. They do it ALL the time. Nova Pizza & Pasta popped up on my radar around 8 pm on Friday night, most other pizzerias were closing for the night, but Nova would be open for another hour! So I called up and placed an order for a Grandmothers Pie and boy was I surprised when the delivery guy showed up. The pizza box itself was HUGE for a medium pie. Usually my friend and I have no problem polishing away a medium by ourselves(from other establishments), but from Nova half of the pie was leftover LOL. At first glance the pizza didn't look too appetizing, but when we took our first bite we were in love! If i could give this pizzeria 0 stars i would. First off let me just say i have not tried any of the food here and this review is solely based on their customer service. To me food quality and taste are just as important as customer service. And while i dont believe in customer is always right mentality, i do believe in trying to resolve customer issues as politely and efficiently as possible. So, with all that said, i called to order 5 cheese pies ( nothing crazy, no rocket science) for the following day. Its our kids bday and we decided to order pizza to make it easy on us, i call to place an order for the following day and right from the beginning the person on the other side of the phone was not attentive and probably doing 10 other things that I had to repeat my self multiple times and explain to the person that it was plain cheese and order was for pick up. In any case, order gets put in, the guy says let me put your credit card in ill call u back to confirm after it goes through. That call never happened. 2 hours later I get a call saying that the pies are ready for up, I kindly explain to the person that the order was for the following day and that I told the person that multiple times. The "Owner" gets on the phone and is plain rude. He asks me,"what do you want to do? " He said he will correct the problem but that she had placed the order for today. ( taking no responsibility what so ever) At that point I get upset and says ok never mind i just want to cancel my order and all he says is "understood don't call back here" and hangs up the phone. I had to call back and ask whats gonna happen with my money, all he repeats is "so you want to cancel?" I say yes, and hangs up again. 15 mins later i get my money back in my card. Worth avoiding unless you're drunk. My folks just moved to Fort Lee and we were looking for a quick bite. We called in an order for a large Calabrese pizza. This specialty pizza has three toppings - peppers, onions, and sausage. Evidently this was too complex for them...only two of the three made it onto the pie. That's to be forgiven but the folks weren't particularly accommodating (I had to ask multiple times for red pepper and cheese to take with me and the person behind the counter seemed totally put out by the request). This restaurant gives you excellent quality at a reasonable price.  It is my new favorite spot for pizza. The pizza slices are huge, loaded with sauce and cheese, like no other place I know and the toppings were quite good!  One slice is almost lunch in itself!  Delicious!!! Pick this up for friends and they will be impressed!  The employees were personable, professional, helpful, polite and efficient!  Naomi is the name of one of the employees who helped me.  All employees have been positive. I have stopped into this great restaurant many times and the food has always been delicious! I tried a pasta dish and this was delicious, too! Recently, I tried the whole wheat pizza and it was the best I have ever had! I ordered it again after trying it! Really like this place. Pizza is good but their prices has really skyrocketed. A small personal pie was $12.50 now it's $15. They make the pizzas for all the weekly school lunches in the area so why do they have to hike the prices so much? It's not like they don't have consistent business. Previous owners were fantastic we were regular patrons and we also had deliveries weekly. The new owners pick and chose where they want to deliver. On two previous occasions the delivery person told me "why don't I order from somewhere closer". Today they refused to deliver . No longer ordering or visiting them. The pizza is mediocre with pre-made dough probably bought from restaurant depot. (I'm sure owner will never admit to..). The pasta here looks like dog food i tried to keep a positive mind and got the meatball pasta.... and again pre-made meatballs from wholesale's store. I'm not intensionally trying to bash but there's a lot of Italian restaurants in fort lee that make their own dough and meatballs.... if they're going to do this like Domino's and pap johns might as well level the price the same as them. Decent pizza in Fort Lee. Having tried most of the know places I rank Nova 3rd behind Fort Lee Pizzeria and Baggios. The cheese slice is decent. Taste wise it's fairly average. I think I am giving up on finding the right pizza in Fort Lee. After reading mostly positive reviews, I thought I would give it a shot. My friend wanted anchovies as toppings but they said they didn't have them "anymore". I checked the menu again later but anchovies were not even listed, so I am not sure if they ever had them or did not have "anymore". It just made me question if they knew what they were doing. We went with the Sicilian cheese pizza. Boy, it was quite heavy. When I had a bite, I was like...ah...why is this happening to me..? A gigantic wave of salt attack hits your taste buds hard. It's like basic tomato sauce and lots of salt in it. This is not how you make the food tasty. It's so salty and lacks the depth and flavors.
