Came here for dinner while staying at Great Wolf Lodge. If you've been to GWL, you know the food is terrible there, so looked for another quick local food option this time. This place has delicious pizza. It should be on phantom gourmets, place worth traveling to lol. So good, I may drive 50 miles for another slice. So if your at Great Wolf lodge and want lunch or dinner, give this place a try. We came here based on the good reviews and glad we saw them. We will be visiting for sure anytime we are in town. We got a large half pepperoni and half Hawaiian, my girlfriend loved the Hawaiian, and the kids loved both types. We've been ordering from Pizza King since we moved into the area about four years ago. For the first few years everything was amazing! Their food was amazing the delivery service was amazing etc. But over the last year it seems that every time we order from them there's some kind of issue. Either it takes over an hour and a half to get it delivered, or they forgot something, or they send us the wrong order, or the newest thing to happen for the last three pizzas is that the Pizza either A. Looks like somebody sat on it or B. looks like somebody held the pizza on its side. Not to mention that they also seem to have stopped cutting the pizza all the way. This is not a cheap Pizza place to order from. To give you an idea one small one topping pizza and one small order of boneless buffalo set me back 30.00 in total! You can call them back and complain and ask for the correct order or for a new pizza that doesn't look sat on but then of course you'll be waiting another hour to two hours especially during prime dinner time to get your correct pizza etc. We kept using them over and over even after all the mishaps because of how much we used to love them and truly hoped they would go back to the way they used to be. Sadly I think it's time for our family to find a new favorite pizza place. read more

I don't know how this got good reviews. I got a "homemade meatball " sub and I couldn't even eat it. And I was really hungry. They are not homemade and they are the size of a nickel. My husband and son each got there own pizza and each thought it was sub par. Seriously sad that food services can't even strive for edible. The food tastes good. We had garlic bread with marinara sauce, which was good but insufficient for the bread, and pizza. The website is very sloppy. Previously I noted that repeated misspellings of mushroom led me to question quality control here and my review was pulled. Well this time lured in by delivery on a bitter cold night I did order and pay for the food, so my review can't be deleted. And while they fixed the first error (with nothing like "Thank you for bringing this error to our attention so we can fix it"), they made a worse one. The website says you can now "oder online". Say that out loud - it really stinks. I would give more stars if the business were open to constructive criticism. They do sponsor a section of highway beautification and extend credit to homeless people. I'm not sure if I would order from here again. Maybe they could trade me pizza for proofreading services. read more

Ok. So I ordered a sheet pizza...waited 1.5 hours to see how much longer (they take longer to cook) & was told it was done but they made 2 large in place. Ok. Was greeted by someone very friendly who I suspect was either the owner or manager. Unfortunately he doesn' have any common sense when it comes to food handling. Because he was handling food he had on gloves. I paid by cash. He took the cash from me and than gave me my change which included bills and coins. His gloves never came off. Then he went right back to handling food without changing to a new pair of gloves. Disgusting! I can't comment on the food as I was just picking up for someone who likely wouldn't care. I take that back, I didn't eat it after one slice. Ordered at 7:15, pizza came at 8:40. I specifically requested that the pizz be delivered hot. Called at 8:23 and the told me it went out at 8:15. You do the math. Pizza came at 8:40 meaning it sat in the car for almost a half an hour. Now to the Pizza. Large Pepperoni, small Mediterranean. I have ordered delivery from here many times now, and with a single exception (described below) food has been consistently delicious. I like cheesy NY style pizza that you can fold, and their simple cheese pizza is the best in the local area with just the right amount of cheese, sauce and grease. I have also tried the stuffed buffalo chicken pizza which is a must try. Food has always been delivered hot,fresh and quick even during busy times. In addition to their great pizza, the sweet chili chicken wings are amazing. Their chicken wings are gigantic and juicy. Stay away from the Parmesan garlic though as it was so salty/garlic that it was inedible (maybe a bad batch since everything else is so good). Food is a little more expensive then other pizza places but your paying for much better quality food. read more

This place gets five stars for their boneless buffalo wings alone! So damn good and you get a ton. Pizza was delicious. Kind of a cross between Greek and New York if that makes sense! Not as doughy as Greek. Greek salad was huge and nice and fresh. My husband had to wait a few for our order and the gentleman behind the counter offered him a can of soda for the wait. I had seen flyers in the mail for Pizza King (PK) before, but ignored them. Finally, after another mass mailing of their menu came to my mailbox, I decided to try them for my Sunday dinner routine: Pizza As with any pizza place, PK offers a dizzying array of choices which, good or bad, usually is too much. I rather a focused, streamlined menu that offers great food and reasonable prices - consistently; do a few things and do them right. The problem with pizza places these days is they offer everything under the sun, but quality of the food is going to be hit or miss with very few dishes being surprising gems. As always when trying a new joint, I order a basic pepperoni pizza. As I have said before, if a place screws that up, then chances are I won't return, much less try anything else. I called in my order for pickup and it was ready in fifteen minutes. I arrived to a non-descript, clean, brightly lit, brick-facade store front situated at the corner of a small plaza. It was empty expect for two employees. Inside PK was clean, brightly lit, even if a bit dated-looking (early 90s). I approached the counter to get my order. The man who greeted me was very cordial, quickly got my order together, and processed my cash payment fast. The box was the typical generic brown box. No signs of grease on the top or edges and it was piping hot. I arrived home and placed the box on the counter and opened it up. As expected there was some grease (inherent with pepperoni), but wasn't drowned in grease. I rectified the excess with a quick dab or two of a paper towel. Unfortunately, the pizza was sitting directly in the box, which is cost-cutting. Pizzas should have a piece of wax paper or paper insert to absorb any excess grease and to keep the bottom of the pie from taking on the taste of the box itself. I took a slice out and noticed it wasn't too thin nor was it too thick. That's a plus. There was the right amount of cheese, sauce, and pepperoni on top. The slice I sampled wasn't terrible, but it didn't excite me either. The dough, as others have mentioned, was a little too dry and not very chewy. It was edible, but it was distinct enough to notice. The dough was bland, the sauce was okay, nothing special. Overall, it was an average pizza. For the average price of $12, the large one-topping pizza was on-par with what you would expect from a place like this. It's not horrific, but it's not something to write home about. You may have a different experience, for better or worse, but for me, PK will be a place that is optional for me. If I have another choice, I'll go with that, but in a pinch, PK will do. read more

Took the family here from Great Wolf. YES you can get pizza at Great Wolf but I wanted a really good pie and Pizza King did not disappoint. It was cooked perfectly and I do enjoy pan pizzas. The chicken wings I would pass on Pizza King is worth the travel. read more
