Decided to take a ride to Pizza King when visiting our son at Alfred State. We walked in and were greeted and placed our order We got a large pie/half pepperoni and a chicken quesadilla. I was surprised how quiet the area was . Cute town. The quesadilla was very good and the pizza was good (a little oily from the cheese) I should have asked to have the crust done a little more on the well done side, but that was my fault. We took it to day and ate it outside in the garden area across the street. Price was fair. read more

Meh, not great pizza. The family ordered a large sheet pizza from here with pepperoni and peppers and it was just okay. Because it is a sheet pizza cooked in a pan, certain things are a given: the bottom crust will be soggy and greasy; the cheese will form a sheet as it bakes and then cools; and the inner pieces will be hard to hold. I get it, and my review isn't based on that. However, the sauce had an odd, dried herb flavor mixed with sugar that was pretty odd. It is probably their typical pizza sauce (and based on other pizza sauces I have had in the area, likely sweet pizza sauce is a regional preference) so either you like it or you don't. I didn't, as it tasted fake. Also, the pepperoni didn't have much flavor at all. It got me through the night, but it isn't the best pizza I have ever had. read more

Excellent New York style cheesy pizza sold by the slice or pie. Good service from friendly staff; not really a sit in type of place more geared to take out and delivery. Their Chicken Bacon Ranch (CBR) and Chicken Wing pizzas are amazing!! You can order a small pie with 6 pieces, a 1/2 sheet with 12 pieces, a party sheet with 30 pieces or the king with 30+ pieces in case you are really hungry. read more

Decided to give them a third try. I ordered online. A slice and mini tacos. After arriving I waited 10 minutes and was handed the slice being told tacos would be ready soon. 20 minutes later still no tacos but cold slice in the box waiting on the rest of the order. After watching people come and go, I asked and was told it would be a few more minutes. At this time, the table under the box holding the slice has grease on it from the pizza getting cold. I let the employees know the pizza was now cold and they placed it under a warmer. After waiting 45 minutes, I am finally given my food. read more

Best Pizza in the area. When I say the area, I mean: Hornell, Olean, Scio, Belmont, etc. Since moving to Texas, I find myself reminiscing more about things Texas does not do well. Pizza or anything Italian. Pizza King is a small building located on a corner. Parking is not very conducive to business but I would park a mile away and walk to get the pizza, it's that good! I tried pizza from this establishment recently. It was okay. I ordered half with green peppers, half cheese. They said pick-up in 15 minutes. It wasn't ready for more like 30 minutes. So, we had to sit around and wait for a while. And my pizza came with peppers - not just green peppers, which is what was listed on the menu. I'm not a fan of red peppers, so that ruined it somewhat. We live close to the Pizza Capitol of the world (Old Forge PA is well know for the various types of pizzas) and we find Pizza King's pizza to be among the best we have ever had. The personnel there are also very friendly and helpful with the orders. They also deliver which is a plus. read more

Sure, the pizza and the food is pretty good, but most of the food ends up soggy and cold by the time you get it. Even if you're not getting it delivered. If you are getting it delivered, be ready to microwave anything you get. Because by the time the lazy deliver boys get around to wandering up to your house, all your food has the consistency of rubber and the temperature of a good wine. And I live only a 1 minute drive away from this place. All in all, very good food. But the service and wait times are atrocious. read more

While the service is okay, the food was sub par at best. I ordered a calzone and pretty disgusted when I opened the box. It cost me $6 and change and what I got was no bigger than a slice of pizza. My husband and I are in wellsville due to his job and we have ate pizza king several times now . They have a wide range of food and it's all good , and a good price .very friendly people work there as well. Best place to eat in this lil town . Food is ready in 5-10 minutes. We have ate their pepperoni pizza , which for thinner crust the dough is so soft & huge slices . Good flavor. Their subs are great, (subway type bread with Jimmy Johns flavor) , wings were good too & smelled great. but my favorite was the mozzarella sticks . They didn't taste like frozen cheese sticks like most restaurants have . They were moist and fried to perfection! My only complaint would be whoever takes your order doesn't mention their specials , we didn't know you could get drink/ chips with a sub /wrap for a dollar , had we known this we would have spent the extra $2. When they get your order right it is REALLY right and tastes wonderful; but, they lack in consistency. I ordered pizza and wings delivered. I repeated my order and corrected the order taker on the phone and STILL got the wrong pizza. When I called to let them know that they got the order wrong, they said they would send out a replacement and wanted the first pizza back. We had cold wings by the time our second pizza arrived. I know mistakes happen, but this has happened more than once. read more
