Crown the King is Pizza King! In mood for a good classic pizza is: pepperoni pizza. Small place. Easy to find the place. I ordered ny style pepperoni pizza for nice price on medium size but have to pay extra for topping (pepperoni). Thats why I give 4 stars, if they price pepperoni pizza for $14 not charge extra for topping, I'd give 5 stars. Folks are nice & good communication. Price seems reasonable but wish they add few more speciality such as supreme, meaty, or veggies for one price, not pay extra for toppings to add. I got pizza & checked. Whoa, thats lookin' good! I took the first bite & I am impressed. I can see why they won so many awards. Not too much oil. Not cardboard taste. Cheese is the right amount. Good balance. So my kids and I went here and I was nervous because I love the pizza king in Hornell!! When he said no it's not the same own I'm like darn lol. So I got 8 slices of pizza and then tried it and it was AMAZING!!!!! I made sure I tipped 20 percent since I was like darn lol. I let them know yes this is great and thank you so much!!! Meh. Am from Rochester and was in town for work so have some pretty high standards for pizza. Was craving some pizza and decided this place as I was told it was the best in the area by a coworker. Pizza was just ok. Crust had a decent chew but not much flavor. Kinda soggy. Cheese wasn't gooey with brown delicious bubbles like all good pizza should have. Quite possibly the palest not crispy sings I have ever had after asking for them extra crispy. Twice. Hot sauce more of a mild or medium and garlic Parmesan tasted nothing like garlic. Excellent New York-style, fold-able pizza. The best pizza in Dansville. I'm from out of town and stayed in Dansville a few months for work and tried the other places in town. Pizza King blows them out of the water. Not sure about their other food as I only tried the pizza (many times), but their pizza is far and away the best. Great cheese, tangy/delicious crushed tomato-type sauce (unlike the other places in town, which 'make a sauce', so that your pizza tastes like Ragu), thin and chewy-but-crispy crust, cooked to perfection. Great prices, too! Two slices of pepperoni and a 20 oz bottle of soda comes to just under $5, which includes tax. Can't beat that! read more

Vacationing in the area we had a craving on a Saturday night for pizza and wings. We found this pizza place and we're not disappointed. While we waited, we sat outside on a beautiful summer night and enjoyed the feel of small town America! The pizza and wings were piping hot and very good. The staff were friendly and efficient. Horrendous experience-the pizza was shriveled and looked repulsive, not to mention the terrible taste. The "hot" wings weren't even close to hot, an absolute joke. We ordered subs from there last night. They were the worst subs ever. Ordered 1/2 assorted lettuce onion tomato banana peppers provolone cheese. Opened sub it was meat on roll that's it all 3 subs were like this. Called to let them know and all they said was sorry asked for phone number and offered a free sub next time I order. Worst pizza shop in Dansville next to Tower. I would score them both negative stars if Yelp would let me! First try calling to order and the phone is busy/off the hook from open until about 1:20 pm. Second when you get through and place an order they are rude about what you want, when they don't have the item in stock. When you challenge them about it the want to push the blame, says he's the one that runs the place, I told him to update the menu online or on their Facebook page then, he said he doesn't have access to do that. Then tells me I can't order from them. So I have someone else order from them for me and when they go to pick up the doors are locked. Stand there beating on the door like the police for 30 minutes and they still didn't come to the door, took like almost an hour to get someone off their a$$ to get the door. This is not my first visit to Pizza King in Dansville and tonight, like many others, it was awesome! It was a very busy night, being the Balloon Festival this weekend, but even so, the quality of my pizza was A-1!! I didn't have to ask for extra cheese or the other topping I had (onions, mushrooms and sausage). The NY Style is my favorite and they did a great job. Staff was friendly and greeted me as I got to the counter. The cheese they use is the best. Flavorful, buttery, just plain delicious. You wouldn't necessarily expect to get great pizza in a tiny village like Dansville, but again yelp didn't disappoint! My friend and I got a mushroom pie that was super awesome and we had a few slices to take home. And there was only one other customer there at the time. The guys make a side sauce with range and dill that just makes the whole order come together!
