The pizza here is fine, but it isn't as good as it used to be. I've been getting Pizza man pizza for years now, and they used to put more cheese, make thicker crusts, and add more toppings than they do now. The cost of a large pizza is $5.99, which is a good price. I think this pizza is better than that neutral-tasting pizza they have at Little Caesars for $5, so I don't mind paying the extra dollar for some flavor. The people there are pretty nice, but their prices are weird sometimes. For pick-up, a large is $5.99, but for delivery (which they advertise as "Fast FREE Delivery), it comes to $11.99. I've also witnessed the pizza-maker (while in the middle of making the dough) greet some guy he knew that came in by shaking his hand, then going right back to preparing the dough. The biggest problem this place has is the husband....he is not a good person, he will nickel and dime you, sometime not even return the coin change and have noticed he always charges diff. Prices for the same pizza and wings I get. The food is not that bad and the wing are good, but the service is very bad specially when he is handling it. Meh. There are much tastier, fresher options out there. The delivery driver (and all the food) stank of cigarette smoke when we received it and the pizza was nothing to write home about. If there was an option for no stars that would be my choice. The manager is a rude, disrespectful person who got our address wrong the first time we called and never got our order. After an hour, I call again they say they will not be coming to deliver our order. That was very rude. The way he spoke to a customer??? My friend calls again and politely asks them about the order, they said they will bring it, okay? After another 45 minutes of not receiving our order we called again, they said they would be closing soon and will not bring our order. They close at midnight. Just moved to the neighborhood. After a long day of my husband and I moving we were super hungry, it was late so we decided to just order pizza, "Pizza Man's" flyer was on our door so we decided to try them. I called into place the order, which should go fairly smooth and easy (right?) Not the case. Since the gentlemen said "Hello" He was in such a hurry to get off the phone with me after finding out I wanted a medium pizza and wings. I had to say excuse me about 3-4 times because ONE, I wanted to order soda, and TWO I wanted to purchase extra ranch, THREE, I wanted to know the total and FOUR, I wanted to tell him how I was paying. After rushing to get off the phone he mutters, "yeah yeah it comes with ranch, 40 minutes, ok bye." AND HANGS UP! so the wait begins.... After 40 minutes of waiting I'm starting to think he never asked me how I wanted to pay! Surely by his impatient behavior he must have the means to take either cash or credit... otherwise he would have been sure to ask me. I try to call back the shop, no answer. The phone rings. He's here. He wants us to turn on the porch light so he can see. knock on the door. greeting. He hands my husband the food and my husband hands him our credit card. The delivery guy says with the rudest attitude, "I CAN"T TAKE THIS, CASH ONLY! IF YOU WANT TO USE A CARD YOU SHOULD HAVE SAID SO ON THE PHONE. My husband replies with, "My wife was trying to ask you for the total and tell you she wanted to pay credit but you hung up on her." He says (pizza man), " Well then it's your wife's fault! If she's the one who placed the order!" My husband then replies with, " Don't say that man! It's not her fuckin' fault..." Pizza man, "DON'T Use that language with me!" HE started going off, shouting in our small triplex unit... My husband says, "Hey! Why are you yelling?! I fucking live here, you need to lower your voice! Ok, look, I don't have cash so how do you want to go about this? would you like to write down the cc number, charge us when you get back to the shop?" The pizza man says, NO. I'll take your cc with me. My husband says, Nope. I'm not just gonna give you my cc I'd be more than happy to give you the number over the phone. The pizza man starts yelling again and says, " Are you gonna pay for my hour of work?! you pay cash!" after back and forth bullshit for a good 7 minutes my husband says, "Here I have an idea, Take your fuckin' pizza." and hands him the pizza back. The guy then yells..."FUCK YOU, YOU SON OF A BITCH!" and storms off.....It was pretty crazy. The man was so Rude and I will NEVER call Pizza Man on Glenoaks EVER again. read more

So I call to place an order to pick up. I'm told they're out of fresh basil. Fine. I pick another topping and an order of wings. I go to pick it up. I ask when they are expecting to get fresh basil again. I'm told they're not really "out" of it - they never have it. I ask when they stopped carrying it. Turns out they never really did. I guess they just put it on their menu to lure in potential customers? Whatever. Strike 1. My order was $11.98 plus tax. If you can't afford a computerized register that does math for you, you should learn to figure out tax on a calculator. This guy just made up a number and charged my card without telling me the total. When I got the slip, I knew he had done something wrong and overcharged me. Kinda sad when your customer has to show you how to charge proper tax. Strike 2. What self-respecting business that serves hot wings doesn't have blue cheese dressing as an alternative to ranch?! No problem..but the owner has a problem understanding the concept of buy 1 get 1 free. He still charges you for 2. After trying to explain to him how what he was charging was not what he was advertising, he became really upset. Does he realize that it is illegal to false advertise? Worst pizza i have ever had. The crust was horrible it had no taste. The ingredients mediocre, Ive had better frozen pizza than this place. I never write bad reviews this being my first, but trust me when i say the pizza here is no good. Management should rethink the way they make their dough and find someone who knows how to do it right, because the dough tasted like whoa!! it had no taste. Their pizza was good, not as good as I expected but it was still tasty. I've tried pizza BILLIONS of times better than that pizza. It's super cheap though but the serving suggestions are super off! The 16" pizza is recommended to feed around two people, it takes me and my family to eat one slice for six people! I strongly suggest changing that! Speaking food-wise here, the consistency is a little short, as the cheese has a feeling of blandness. Over all, it's not a place that I would suggest going to, but the service is quick. Worst pizza ever. Worse than little ceasars. No cheese. no sauce. no flavor. it was burned around the edges. It wasnt edible. So we called them back to replace the pizzas or give us a refund. Honestly the service here sucks. And the food isn't much better. I frequented the NOHO Pizza Man regularly when I lived there and this place doesn't even seem like it's on the same planet. They don't have anything laid out at their counter so I doubt you can order pizza and pasta a la carte the same as NOHO. And don't get me started on the service. I've ordered from them twice for pickup by phone as I live right around the corner. Both times the man answering the phone slurs something long winded that I can't understand and then I just hear mumbling. Obviously they are asking me to hold but I can't understand what they are saying and it takes them a solid minute to say it. So I'm left just saying "hello" to mumbling in the background. When they finally ask what I want they take my order and give me a time, and that's it. I get there and no one at the counter has any idea what I'm talking about. They ask for my order number or last 4 numbers and I keep telling them no one gave me any numbers. After several minutes of this they finally ask what I ordered and get it from the back. Really??? It's no this hard guys. Also, the food is meh at best. Don't waste your time. Go to NOHO or go somewhere else. read more
