Good pizza at a great price! A couple days back I opened one of the menus they left on my door and last night decided to give them a try. Their two medium pizza deal with an appetizer and two Mexican cokes really hit the spot. For the app we went with the onion rings and they were fluffier than I was expecting but still crispy and tasted great. On both pizzas we got the maximum allowable toppings at three each and I was extremely happy with the end results. Been a customer here for a very long time only because my mom likes the pizza. I never agreed with her but whatever my mom likes I will get but this time was literally the last time I will ever order from this place. Our last couple of orders have been HORRIBLE! We placed an order for a XLarge pizza and when I got home to eat the pizza it wasnt even close to being cooked the cheese chunks were still on the pizza and not even melted when I mentioned it very nicely right away he got very agressive and mentioned that these are on timers and that im wrong. You run a buisness the customer is always right especially when food is involved also when I opened my container of Jalapeños there was only 3 pieces in it. When I mentioned that to him his response was "we give Jalapeños for free you get what you get" not to mention the ranch they gave the last couple times I ordered last 2 being big orders they gave me 2 packets ranch for 4 XLarge pizzas and 1 Ranch for 2XL pizzas. So this time I asked for 4 packets he gave me this dirty look like im wasting his product. Im assuming he thought I was a 1 time customer so he didnt give me his best service. Let me also mention that a lot of the food they make including the wings ALL COME OUT OF THE FREEZER FROZEN and I can guarentee you its been in that freezer for a very long time. Before you place your online order read all the other bad reviews about this and then order your food. Your giving your money to unappreciated people for very low class serivce and low class food. I ordered a cheese and mushroom pizza. This pizza did not trigger a heartburn. The amount of cheese and mushroom was more than generous. Overall quality of the ingredients is very good ( I can tell, I cook a lot ) This pizza is not greasy, it does not have the typical taste of other delivery pizza bursting with overwhelming flavors and making you thirsty. I ordered with them via delivery.com. The manager says he's terminating their partnership with delivery.com, but who knows. It's moot anyway. Because Pizza Man himself is the sole reason I will never give this place another dollar. The short version: The description of their dish in the online menu is wrong. I called to suggest they edit it. The manager was a complete and utter jackass. The full version: The description of their "chicken bucket" on the delivery.com online menu says you get "boneless chicken with ranch sauce for dipping." In fact, you get a standard assortment of fried chicken (none of which are in any way boneless) and ranch is not included. You get ketchup. And if you order extra sauce (as I did), you don't get, as one might reasonably guess, extra ranch. You get one each of ranch, ketchup, and bbq. The food arrives and I realize the issue. No big deal. I like fried chicken. But I did think I was ordering something else. I call and make it clear (in the first of many, many repetitions) that this is not a complaint. I have zero problem with the food or the price. But they should know that their online menu is wrong and should look into editing it. The clerk is unable to process this information. I come at it from every direction. I read him the menu description verbatim. Multiple times. No dice. So he hands me off to the manager and things quickly go off the rails. Pizza Man simply will not let anyone talk. He's loud, rude and belligerent and I literally cannot finish a single sentence without him interrupting. It's as if a TV pundit has opened a pizza joint and traded in shouting down guests for shouting down customers. Yes, it says 8 pieces of chicken. Yes, there are 8 pieces of chicken. Nobody's saying there aren't. There are, however, ZERO pieces of BONELESS chicken. Yes, the price is exactly what the menu states. Nobody is saying it isn't. And I don't want a refund or a discount or a re-order anyway. So what's the problem? What's the problem? If you could shut your mouth for literally ten seconds, I will tell you. Instead, he just interrupts over and over, in a condescending, boorish, brutish manner that makes you long for the ability to punch people over the phone. And suddenly he's complaining to ME. That 10pm is too late for him to be hassled with this. (Such a shame, because I was so looking forward to spending the night on the phone with Pizza Man. I was hoping that later, he might read me to sleep.) That delivery.com gives a 10% discount without his permission. (I told them at the last delivery.com board meeting that Pizza Man might not like the discount, but, alas, I was outvoted.) Finally, he seems to absorb that the menu is inaccurate...but he'll be damned if it's Pizza Man's problem. It's delivery.com's fault and *I* should call them in the morning. (Yes, I'll be sure to call delivery.com to have them correct YOUR menu...because I'd hate for you to lose any business over this issue. No worries, Pizza Man. I've got your back.) With my food getting cold, my patience wearing thin, and absolutely no desire to get in a shouting match with some obnoxious ass over eight pieces of chicken, I finally just hang up on him mid-rant. Kudos, sir! You won the argument! Sure, you have lost a customer, but you DID get this great review as a bonus! I also see, Pizza Man, that I'm not the only one- or two-star review here and a lot of them seem to have a common theme. (Hint: Starts with "You are." Ends with "an asshole.") I rarely post reviews. Things need to be truly amazing or terrible for me to bother. Any guesses which one you are, Pizza Man? As for the food itself, the chicken was pretty good, but the garlic bread was way too garlicky. Don't go here. For one, I saw them bringing bags of Hungry Howies' pizza dough inside. Maybe that's a normal thing, but I might as well go to Hungry Howie's if I want Hungry Howies. They had a deal for $5.99 per large pizza. We decided to get a couple. On top of pick-up only, there were plenty of loop holes that they used to not sell us two larges at $5.99 a piece. Ended up having to pay $20 for the two. To top it all off, our bottom pizza had a HUGE dent in the box. He saw it when he gave it to us but didn't say anything, which is why he moved it to the bottom of the two boxes. When we got home, we found that the huge dent meant that the pizza was smashed and all the cheese was stuck to the lid of the box. I'm fairly new to Burbank and decided to give this place a try, despite all the negative reviews. Man, was it a mistake. I ordered the spaghetti with meatballs, to go. When I opened it, it was literally spaghetti with meatballs. There was little to no sauce at all, unless you count the excess water from the pasta. Even with the small amount of sauce that was on there, it was not that great. Even though you get a larger than normal portion, the lack of taste in the dish just makes it a waste. I look at the pizza I see jalapenos pretty good then I look at the wings I see ranch which was good then I ask the guy can I get a ranch he says" its in there", I reply I see that I need another one the guy tells me its 50 cents!!! WTH!!! I paid 24$ for an order of x pizza and hot wings and you are going to charge me for condiments!! I paid with a CC so the guy says I can adjust the amount if you dont have cash, I get a $1 from my friend and pay the guy for the ranch lol. This is the stupidest move a business man can make: A) my friend was tourist here and he was staying in a motel so no need to buy a huge craft ranch which is only 2 3$ but you charge 50 cents for a dope little sauce container, and the pizza wasnt that good pizza vanas is much better. After trying this place out, I can easily say it is one of my favorite pizza spots in LA. The pizzas have amazing dough, amazing sauce, and literally are overflowing with toppings! But pizza isn't their only specialty. My number 1 favorite thing off the menu is the philly cheese steak. I hate giving out bad reviews but I also like to help other potential customers. Ordered a large pizza and fries for my kids and me. The fries weren't cooked at all. They were quite literally raw, inedible. The pizza looks and tastes like something from the frozen pizza aisle, but worse. My kids wouldn't even eat it. Definitely not real pizza. For the record, I am more upset about receiving raw, uncooked fries. If not for the fries, than I may have considered 2 or 3 stars.
