The space is large enough for groups and events and has a full bar and outdoor seating as well! I ordered the SP avocado burger with half and half fries and onion rings! The burger was hands down a star burger that wowed! Flavorful, juicy perfectly cooked it's absolutely on the top of my local burger list. The onion rings hand made with a fantastic beer batter! Great spot! I got a steak and asked for medium rare, but they cooked it to medium well. But if a bummer bby still delicious. I loved that there were real grill marks and char flavor! I really like this place. VERY light and bright and clean with a CALM atmosphere, just my style. Nice place, great view of the airport. Our server, Mike, was great - very friendly and helpful. The food is where this place needs to improve. We ordered the New York Steak Sandwich and the BBQ Western Cheeseburger. The steak on the sandwich didn't taste fresh. It wasn't over or under cooked, I could only describe it as "freezer" taste. The BBQ Western Cheeseburger had a similar flavor to the patty. The BBQ sauce and the other toppings tasted fresh, but the patty didn't. I'd be willing to try this place again based on the location and the service - but I'd try something other than the beef. read more

Easy 5 star review here - Sunday Happy Hour, great food, awesome service, good prices, nice decor, and a view of the airport. An absolute gem here in SP and a must-visit if you live here or if you're passing through. We visited on a Sunday afternoon - greeted and sat immediately. We ordered a full wedge salad with chicken, chicken satay, and garlic fries. All of it totally over-performed. 10/10 will come back. I just want to start off by say that the customer service was great and the staff was super friendly and helpful. My wife and I ordered micheladas and mozzarella sticks when our waitress Yulisa sat us down. Our drinks came out rather quick but it took the mozzarella sticks 30 minutes to come out to us and our dinner came out an additional 15 minutes after that. We would have been annoyed but we could see that a large party of about 15-20 sat down right before we got there so a wait was expected. Overall the food was delicious, my wife's pasta was excellent and my burger was super juicy! Some seasoning on the fries would be nice but it was still a great experience overall and we will definitely be coming back read more

I usually have low expectations when it comes to eating at small restaurants in airports like Santa Paula. So when my husband suggested eating here, I was ready to leave hungry and disappointed. I was wrong! We sat on the patio which was nice. You can watch the planes come and go. I had the chicken piccata which was very flavorful as with the mixed vegetables and baked potato. As we sat outside waiting to order, we noticed that half of the outside tables were left with dirty glasses and dishes. Finally, after an extended period of time, we went the bar and placed our order. As we were sitting outside enjoying our drinks, we were ignored by all three staff people. The claim to fame for this venue is its location at the Santa Paula airport. Food is uneven - one day you get a flatbread pizza of good size in one piece, the other day, for the same price, the same item on the menu comes in a couple of pre-cut pieces, which look like a left-over from someone other's dish. Same goes for beer - one day you get it in a glass, the next day, in a thin, disposable plastic cup. Taken together, this place has potential, but needs to do a better job to build up a returning customer base. read more

The Hangar Bar was opened by the owners of the popular co-located Flight 126 Cafe at the historic Santa Paula Airport. They have recently added great and tasty menu items like Chicken Shish-Kabob over Rice, locally sourced ribeye steaks, and several versions of flat bread pizza. Burgers and other standards are always available. Portions are generous. If you are lucky during fishing season you might be able to order sea-fresh Halibut, or Thresher Shark - prepared grilled or batter-fried with fries. They have a beer and wine license with some interesting extras like low alcohol tequila, vodka and rum to comply with the Law. The locals are fun people, many of whom are pilots who live in hangar residences at the airport. Karaoke Thursday's nights with some surprisingly good singers. Other talent booked weekends had so far been great. Bonus: The first Sunday of every month the Airport Museum is open offering free rides for potential young pilots, and a chance to see some classic aircraft based here. read more

Called in a order for 2 things. Woman repeated order back to me and when we went to pick up we were missing one of the orders. Had to now wait over 40 mins for new order and guess what? I received cold nachos that tasted so bad. The chips were fried in old oil. So gross. Can't believe they didn't replace my nachos and left them out over 40 mins. Unbelievable.
