Super causal spot with lots of outdoor seating, parking lot, and a space of live music. Their pizza is solid- The slices are large and the dough is soft and chewy. They have a couple salad options and wings. Good pizza stop right off the freeway. Owner/manager is also very friendly!

Tony's was such a vibe. We came on a Sunday night over Memorial Day weekend and happened to catch Reggae Night, which made the whole experience even better. I actually spotted the place while driving by and decided to stop on a whim. It felt like a true locals' hangout. People of all ages were out dancing, and it was clear a lot of them knew each other. It was so much fun just sitting back, soaking in the atmosphere, and getting swept up in the music. Honestly, it ended up being one of the highlights of my weekend. You order food and drinks at the counter, and luckily there wasn't much of a line when we arrived. It was definitely busy, though, so the wait for our pizza was about 45 minutes. We didn't mind at all because the live music and people-watching made the time fly. We ordered the Tony's Special, which was super generous in size and toppings. The pizza was delicious. One of the best parts was this older gentleman walking around checking in on everyone and clearing tables. He was incredibly kind. When we got up to dance, he passed by later and said, "I wondered where you went," which made us smile. He remembered us and could tell we were new, which made the experience feel even more personal. I really appreciate places that take the time to notice and welcome newcomers. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area.

Back story about this spot. My hubby is a truck driver and passes this spot maybe 3 or 4 times a month. I always like to see his routes and what he see's so we decided to take a day trip to Ventura County to see the sites. He's always been curious about this place so we stopped for dinner. What a cute little gem sitting on the cornier or Thomson Blvd about a 5 minute walk from the beach. When you walk up to the restaurant you are totally taken back to a simpler time. It gives you surf shop vibes. There's only outdoor dining, but that's okay because they have plenty of heat lamps as well as fire pits. They have a stage for band performances which are probably on Friday and Saturday. They also have cute games to play while your wait. Service was quick because the menu is simple. Pizza and salad. They also have wine as well as bottled soft drinks as well as fountain drinks. The Pizza was decent. I enjoyed the toppings more than anything. I think it could've been cooked longer. It was a little greasy but still decent. Crust was thin and crunchy. I will say this warmed up in the over on broil the next day it was perfect. I'm glad my Mister got his curiosity satisfied and we had a great day and night.

I was craving pizza for dinner so we called ahead to order a medium pizza with half pepperoni and half hawaiian. We also ordered some buffalo wings. They told us it would take 30 minutes. We arrived 30 minutes later and the pizza was ready but they said they needed 5 minutes to pour the sauce on the wings. 5 minutes later, the wings were still not ready. I think we ended up waiting an extra 10 minutes just for the wings. Not sure what was the point of us calling ahead to place an order and them telling us 30 minutes if we still had to wait when we arrived. The food was delicious though! I really liked the Hawaiian pizza but my husband liked the pepperoni more. The pizza was pretty oily though... they put the pizza in a paper bag and by the time we went back to our hotel, the oil was seeping through the bag.

It take effort to make a pizza suck this much

Place advertised as having thin "crispy" pizza - pizza is supper soggy, and oily/ no pizza integrity and a zero on the flop scale - worst pizza I've ever had. I called to talk to the restaurant and they told me "yeah that's how we make our pizza! If searching for a late night pizza spot don't let yourself down with this disappointment -

Ordered the sausachito and olive pizza to go. It's my favorite pizza anywhere. The cheese is terrific but I absolutely love the tomato sauce, very tomatoery . Crispy crust. It's the best

SERVICE: Our first time there and man the service and experience was amazing! Outdoor seating, positive vibes, live music, games, heating lamps, and the customer service was on point. No complaints. Met the owner who I learned is a DJ - he's amazing. Reasonable enough parking for about 15-20 vehicles. You can catch the tunes walking buy as people waved from the other side of the fence. FOOD: Enjoyed the pizza (a hair salty for me) and the wings too were good. Drink was cool too and grabbed a bottled water just because. WELL: We're going to be regulars and you should too! * Shoutout to Colin/David for register/customer service * Get the 50! lol

Pizza hot made to order. Handmade by the taste of it. Awesome custom numbering on to go package, thought it was a nice touch. Heat lamps for the outdoor seating. Fun ambiance, stage and outdoor games for the kids and adults alike. Setting up for a private party so it seems like THE spot. Warm welcoming owners and staff. Just popped by walking distance from Ventura Beach and Fairgrounds which is ideal due to the paid parking situation. Although they do have a back parking lot of their own. Outdoor restrooms. The only complaint is there is no basil topping option. Overall a perfect experience for a quick dinner to go!

This is going to start off rough. But give it a chance. I'm glad I did. Took the train to Ventura from Union Station. Tony's is an easy walk from the train stop. It's an outdoor experience with live music and great ambiance. As I sat down, I was organizing my bag. The business section of the train provides snacks and alcohol. I was on the phone and looking at what I still had in my goodie sack. The host who helps monitor the area approached me informing me that I cannot open the alcohol (wine) that I had. Being on the phone I simply said, "okay, thank you" and I continued to clean out my bags. He stood at the table and then proceeded to pick up my wine bottles! I pulled them back from him and asked him not to touch my things. He continued telling me that I needed to put them away. I hung up my phone and told him to give me a moment. He had JUST told me about the (very common) policy and my intention was not to drink them but only organizing. He walked away but continued to "watch me" from his post. When I put the mini bottles back into my bag, he said, "thank you" as he was still watching me. I've never felt more judged, belittled, or treated like a child than at that moment. It was a horrible first impression and I hadn't even tried the pizza yet! I was so bothered I spoke to the manager. I told her that I understand the policy and saw that they sell alcohol--including wine. I know enough about dining out to know you don't "BYOB" or expect to pay a corkage fee--which they have and is $10. Anyways, manager was great. Returned to my table, pizza came, and was pretty good. It's super greasy, but that's what kinda made it yummy! Minutes later, the same gentleman came to my table with an apology and complimentary wine. I appreciated the gesture and respect the fact that he apologized. It's never an easy thing to do. In the end, it turned out to be a great find. The live music was fabulous. The band was, The Cousins. Which was ironic because the host's name tag also said, "Cousin...". As the evening came the patio lights turned on along with the many patio heaters. Despite the rough start to the experience, I turned out to be a great spot. I'm glad I found it and will definitely return--without my train wine! There's tons of free parking on the side gravel lot. And they are dog friendly which is always a plus for me. I think the property is wheelchair accessible too. I forgot to mention that they have delicious shaved ice too! Next time I'm trying one of those!

Smiling, always around to take orders, make suggestions, clear plates, etc. I thought she was terrific. The drinks were great. The table where I sat raved about them. The food was yummy. I loved the caesar salad and the onion rings. The tacos and chips were the bomb as well. The cookie with ice cream dessert was an incredible surprise. The menu description did not do it justice. It was a large chocolate chip cookie cooked in a small cast iron skillet with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream on top. Scrumpdidlicious I can see Yard Bar & Grill as part of my new fun thrift store routine. Shop til I drop and then reward myself with a beverage and that fab cookie skillet ice cream thingy. First, the gal who took our order was super friendly and helpful. The food was really good. Reminded me of We had the original chicken wings, japchae, kimbap, bulgogi bowl and the yuzu and grape ades. All of the dishes were wonderful. Chicken was nice and crispy --good flavor throughout and not greasy at all! The japchae had a great balance of flavors and the shiitake mushrooms, in particular, had really great flavor--must have been marinated for a long time to soak up all the juices! The kimbap was delicious! It was fresh and the pickle in it (Japanese call it takuan, idk what its name in Korean is) was super mild. It didn't overpower the other ingredients. The bulgogi was a solid dish. It had also the glass noodles on one side and plenty of meat and veggies. A good, well-rounded dish. We will come back for bing soo after the kid finishes finals, if it isn't too late! A local regular enthusiastically suggested we try it, so we will be back. The drinks were really delicious as well. Not too sweet and refreshing taste--I think each one is handmade individually. Overall, I highly recommend this place. It has all of the taste of real Korean home cooking at a good price point. You can get quality dishes in a casual in-and-out setting. We will be back for sure!

The bibimbap was very standard -- nothing special or memorable about it. It tasted like a typical Korean bibimbap you can get at many other places, but here it was priced at $12.75, while I've seen similar dishes at other restaurants for under $8. The wings were the same story. A small portion of five wings costs $12.99, and while they tasted fine, they were just ordinary Korean fried wings. Nothing about them really stood out to justify the price. Overall, the food is decent, but there's nothing unique or special that makes the higher prices make sense. In my opinion, the only thing that stands out about this restaurant is that it's overpriced for what it offers.

We came at the brunch hour so we ordered off their brunch menu. I got the Breakfast sandwich and my friend got a breakfast burger. We opted for just water today. My breakfast sandwich was as you imagined an egg sandwich to be. Cooked egg, 2 slices of bacon with aioli sauce on a toasted brioche bun. I got a side of hash-browns instead of fries. I would have preferred my hash browns to have a bit of a crisper crust but they were bad. My friend substituted sweet potato fries for the regular fries. The service was pretty good. Our waitress did check on us once our food arrived but didn't bother to refill our waters at all during our meal. I loved the low key vibe of the place. At least the patio seating. Just as we were about to leave there was a large party coming in which was a reserved table because we saw "reserved signs on it" and I heard the waitress asked how many dogs were there and the said 3. So I guess it's a pretty dog friendly patio which is a plus for dog owners.
