This is such a fun place! We were staying nearby on vacation and stumbled across Tony's. The service was wonderful, what a vibe! There is so much seating, great music playing, even life bands at times. They also have a large parking lot and are located one block from the beach so you can easily take your food and enjoy it on the beach. The food was made to order quickly, we really enjoyed the pizza, salads as well as pretzels. Portions and prices are fair, ideal for families.

First time here and we happened to come on a Friday night when it was karaoke night. It was such a great time. We were so entertained! I ordered the Hang Ten which is 2 pizza slices and a small chef salad. I should have skipped the salad because it just wasn't worth it to me. The pizza slices were HUGE. 2 slices = 4 normal slices. I got one Hawaiian and 1 sausage and pepperoni. I honestly enjoyed the Hawaiian more than the other. The sausage and pepperoni was greasier but still really enjoyable the pizza crust is thin and tastes so fresh! We parked in the back parking lot behind the entrance. It wasn't too busy when we arrived but got the last parking spot. The only negative I have to say is they were sold out of several items so pizza choices were limited. Come for the pizza but stay for the entertainment.

Good pizza, good music, chill vibes. Service was quick. Definitely recommend this place to anyone who isn't looking for a fancy place but good, live music and a simple pizza to enjoy.

Great place to grab a slice after a surf. The pizza is good. The vibes are better. And the staff is always friendly.

Driven past this joint so many times we thought why not pick up some pizza for a late dinner? Big mistake... their pizza is sooo thin and greasy. Almost all of the toppings slid off when I picked it up. No thanks, we'll just stick to toppers

So happy with our experience! We've been wanting to go for a while because it's a Ventura classic! Such a fun atmosphere, friendly staff, and great (big) pizza slices! Walked there from the fairgrounds. Cheaper and more substantial than most fair food options. So glad we went!

Super causal spot with lots of outdoor seating, parking lot, and a space of live music. Their pizza is solid- The slices are large and the dough is soft and chewy. They have a couple salad options and wings. Good pizza stop right off the freeway. Owner/manager is also very friendly!

Tony's was such a vibe. We came on a Sunday night over Memorial Day weekend and happened to catch Reggae Night, which made the whole experience even better. I actually spotted the place while driving by and decided to stop on a whim. It felt like a true locals' hangout. People of all ages were out dancing, and it was clear a lot of them knew each other. It was so much fun just sitting back, soaking in the atmosphere, and getting swept up in the music. Honestly, it ended up being one of the highlights of my weekend. You order food and drinks at the counter, and luckily there wasn't much of a line when we arrived. It was definitely busy, though, so the wait for our pizza was about 45 minutes. We didn't mind at all because the live music and people-watching made the time fly. We ordered the Tony's Special, which was super generous in size and toppings. The pizza was delicious. One of the best parts was this older gentleman walking around checking in on everyone and clearing tables. He was incredibly kind. When we got up to dance, he passed by later and said, "I wondered where you went," which made us smile. He remembered us and could tell we were new, which made the experience feel even more personal. I really appreciate places that take the time to notice and welcome newcomers. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area.

This place was great! They had live music playing and it was super lit up even when we came late! The guy at the front was so nice and easy to talk too. We got our pizza really fast and it was sooo good!! highly recommend this place when passing by Ventura.

Back story about this spot. My hubby is a truck driver and passes this spot maybe 3 or 4 times a month. I always like to see his routes and what he see's so we decided to take a day trip to Ventura County to see the sites. He's always been curious about this place so we stopped for dinner. What a cute little gem sitting on the cornier or Thomson Blvd about a 5 minute walk from the beach. When you walk up to the restaurant you are totally taken back to a simpler time. It gives you surf shop vibes. There's only outdoor dining, but that's okay because they have plenty of heat lamps as well as fire pits. They have a stage for band performances which are probably on Friday and Saturday. They also have cute games to play while your wait. Service was quick because the menu is simple. Pizza and salad. They also have wine as well as bottled soft drinks as well as fountain drinks. The Pizza was decent. I enjoyed the toppings more than anything. I think it could've been cooked longer. It was a little greasy but still decent. Crust was thin and crunchy. I will say this warmed up in the over on broil the next day it was perfect. I'm glad my Mister got his curiosity satisfied and we had a great day and night.

I had the beef stew as they were out of chicken - it was early enough that being completely out of chicken was surprising, but the beef stew itself was pretty good, with the meat soft as if it were simmered and cooked for a long time. The flavor was also tasty and satisfying. The vegetables I thought were quite a bit undercooked, which meant they were tough to eat. It was almost like they were quickly blanched, but not actually cooked. I'd rather have undercooked vegetables than soggy/soft overcooked ones, but this wasn't just slightly undercooked to me - it was off by quite a lot. The bread was also disappointing in that it wasn't fresh - it was stale, which you never like to see because bread is inexpensive enough that you would hope they wouldn't service anything from a previous day to their guests. Service was responsive and friendly, and the wait for food wasn't long. The place itself was quite dated and I guess you could say "homey" and casual, but it seemed like with a little more effort it could strike a better balance between traditional/homey yet still appear like some effort was taken to make it a nice environment to eat. I didn't dislike the experience (or the food), I just feel it could all be improved with more attention to detail and the commitment not to serve something like stale bread, because it leads off the meal/dining experience and when you start off with something like that, it isn't great.

I ordered my usual - known as the Caffe Breakfast here ($18). It comes with 2 eggs, your choice of protein (chicken sausage for me), potatoes, and ciabatta. It tasted like a regular ole hotel breakfast. The texture of the chicken sausage was crumbly which I didn't prefer and the eggs looked and tasted kind of limp. Not only did it take a long time for anyone to even take our order, but they also forgot our waters. It took about 20 minutes before we received anything. We ordered drinks and two appetizers. One appetizer arrived after about 20 minutes, but our drinks didn't arrive until approximately 25 minutes after we ordered. While we waited, we observed several waiters standing around talking instead of helping customers. We also watched two other tables ask multiple times for their checks before finally receiving them. The staff didn't appear busy or overwhelmed, which made the delays even more frustrating. To make matters worse, several tables that were seated after us received their food before we did. After waiting a total of 40 minutes without receiving our second appetizer or even being offered drink refills, we had enough. We asked the busser for our check and requested to cancel the remaining appetizer because we were extremely frustrated at that point. Instead of a manager or supervisor coming to speak with us, the busser returned to tell us that we couldn't cancel the appetizer because it had already been prepared. We paid, took the meatballs to go, and left disappointed. Only then did our server come over and say, "Sorry, we got stacked up." No manager or person in charge ever came to apologize or address the situation. The person who appeared to be the manager simply dropped off our boxed food and walked away without saying a word. This was the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. I've dined here multiple times before and have always enjoyed both the food and the service, which makes this experience even more disappointing. Unfortunately, I will no longer support this business and will make sure to warn my family, friends, and colleagues to save their money and support businesses that value their customers and hire competent, attentive staff.
