We were just traveling through the area and staying at a local hotel. We didn't feel like going out driving around for a restaurant. We read Pizza Man's menus on line and decided to try them. We ordered two different salads. Both the chef salad and the tuna salad were extremely fresh and large. Excellent in every way. If the other pizza places in town were all shut down, this would be a great place to go! Other than that, below average. Ended up paying $30 for a $20 pizza special because bacon and extra cheese apparently aren't part of it. Bacon on half of a pizza cost us $2.50 and it didn't even taste like bacon. Everything about the pizza tasted cheap and fake. The cheese on our "extra cheese" pizza was an average amount of cheese, if you can even call it cheese. The "cheese" was hard as a rock. The pizza wasn't even cut. You could have poured the grease from it into a cup and filled it to the brim. In my family's opinion, this is an overpriced place with terrible ingredients. read more

The pizza is your typical greasy, college town pie, but there's nothing wrong with that! Their sauce is sweet and their pies are big. They make a really good Stromboli and for the size (huge) you can't beat the price! read more

Nice service. Clean. Quick. Good menu selection. Good prices. The food wasn't that great. veggie by the slice was really watery with soggy crust. The spinach Sicilian was on what appeared to be precooked focaccia bread. And the whole thing was tasteless. Even a little garlic would have made a difference. Don't let the 4/5 stars fool you. Shippensburg has terrible pizza and Pizza Man is just the best of the worst. Online ordering made it easy. Food arrived at our hotel quickly. But it was the nastiest strombolli we have ever had. You could actually pick it up and liquid ran out like a faucet. The bottom was extremely soggy because of this. We also ordered 2 canolies for desert. I opened the container and there was 1 that looked very unappetizing. Very dissapointed in this meal. read more

Without any question this is the best place in Shippensburg to get food. It's hot it's actually a full sub when you get a sub which means that you're not eating 3/4 of bread. Disgusting oily fingers and a feeling of regret of a one night stand is left in my stomach after chewing through the crispy meat lovers Sicilian pizza slice. I had an expectation of a light well organized slice, but I was sadly disappointed by a jenga formation of meats. The irony of a quality of pizza being worse when the store is completely dead. I can only imagine when the store is "busy". I noticed after the slice was brought to me, the face of the chef at the kitchen look of compliance written over his face. I knew, he hated the long hours, the workers and improving his craft. All this given away from a brief glance as he was on break.  I started with an appetizer of fries loaded with bacon and cheese because why not?  The fries were monstrous amount topped with a handfuls of bacon and chasse. I know, I appreciate when all my fries are enveloped in chasse and bacon instead of enjoying  my fries as if they were a muffin. The top tasty, and the rest eaten our of obligation not to waste. Stepping aside from the focus of negativity, I will acknowledge the impressive hand made cannoli. Originally, I had my eye's set on the tiramisu, until the waiter mentioned they were FROZEN. The cannoli presented very elegantly. The accents of cinnamon sugar peaked my interest. I dapped my finger in the filling. The quick surge of sugar sided on my palette. The pastry dough crispy exterior remedied my disgust of the oily messy I've eaten. In hindsight, the meal did not portray a pizza restaurant, but a place manipulating a college campus location. I ordered a sub and fries to take home. When I got home, the sub was so over heated/cooked that I couldn't bite into it and the roll crumbled. I called them and asked if they would replace the order and they said they would, but not the fries. Why would I want cold fries. So, I asked for a refund. When I got back to Pizza Man, the guy said he would not refund the cost of the fries and that the sub was not over cooked. I picked up the sub and the roll crumbled like burnt toast. This place just lost a customer over $2.59 (cost of fries). Wow, poor customer service. read more

This is by far the worst restaurant I have been to in several years. We ordered a slice of the thin special Pizza that day. They literally took a piece of the pepperoni that was sitting out for sale by the slice and threw large chunks of vegetables on it then ran it back through the oven to heat it up. Basically the pizza was a flat twice cooked pepperoni with large uncooked chunks of vegetables on top. We also ordered the "grilled" chicken salad. They took a very liberal use of the word grilled as there is no Grill. It was literally Tyson precooked and sliced frozen chicken breast which I actually watched them heat up in the oven as well. The salad was iceberg lettuce which is fine if you take the time and care to cut the heart out. My salad made up of almost entirely just heart which is white and bitter. The one thing I will say is the service was great which is why I did not complain because it's not the server's fault. I will never go back nor would I eat any of their food if it was free. I suggest the cook /owner close down for a few weeks, go on a sabbatical, and try to really figure out if they actually enjoy cooking or just need the money. The lot has a nice size it would make a good gas station. PS try putting some signs on your business. read more

i got cheese fries a plain cheese steak and got a cheese steak with fried onions and sauce for the hubby. the best thing out of the meal was the cheese fries. my hubby said out of his cheese steak he was missing some cheese and he only tasted the onions and sauce , no cheese. My cheese steak was lacking cheese as well as it was mainly meat. with it looked like only one piece of cheese thrown on there. read more
