The best bite was the Concord Grape Italian Ice. The food wasn't bad obviously but also wouldn't go out of the way to return. The fries were crispy but had a seasoning on them that won't be for everyone. The celery aioli was different, it was really good and fresh. The pizza was good but more crunchy and hard than golden with crispy edges. The salad was good but also a little too fishy. My complaints are things I believe could have been issues in just the specific day we went and may not be an everyday issue. I would suggest going if you're in the area or want some good treats and good beer. However, I wouldn't go out of my way to get to visit.

My partner and I shared a house cheese pizza, roni island pizza, and sauce slice - TASTE: 4/5 - really enjoyed the simple tomato sauce on the single slice, and the roni island's combo of salty pepperoni, tangy cherry peppers, and sweet honey TEXTURE: 5/5 - love a square slice for its texture! The house cheese pizza was satisfyingly cheesy PRICE: 3/5 - higher price points. Most pizzas were $25-28 SERVING SIZE: 4/5 - standard portions and brought home leftovers for dinner SERVICE: 4/5 - walked in at 2:45pm on a Monday and the pies were ready 15min later ATMOSPHERE: 4/5 - larger space than expected w retro touches and fun photos on the walls lol TAKEOUT: 4/5 - appreciated the custom pizza boxes haha PARKING: 4/5 - got a free street spot on Governor St

A great little vibe here in Foxpoint. Amazing pizza, great service, solid drink selection. Perfect spot for a get together or small party. Recommend.

Always heard of pizza Marvin and so glad finally stopped by. Interesting set up separating the bar from the food ordering area. Got the Buffalo stix to start, great flavor, cheese pull and some spice but for the price I wish we had at least 4. The Roni island pizza was fantastic, salty form the cheese and Roni, and the cherry pepper and honey to add a little heat and sweetness. Legit the perfect pie, thin crispy, no flop. How a pizza should be done. Staff was friendly with recs and service. Can't wait to go back to eat that pizza again!

Every time I come in here for a slice I leave satisfied. The pizzas are so yummy -- both full pizzas and just the slices. I love getting honey and basil on my slices! The workers are super friendly the vibes are immaculate. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a quick bite!

Been coming here since they opened. We are not from the area, so last couple times we were in town we were not able to make it. Made sure to make it on this recent visit. As usual love this place. We were bummed they didn't have the shirt in our size to represent Pizza Marvin in NYC but next visit hopefully it will be back in stock. Always worth the visit.

Pizza Marvin is a real treat, and the outside seating is my favorite part--it's hard to beat enjoying a nice summer night out with good food. The pizza easily deserves 5 stars. My guess is the dough is sourdough-based, and the tomato sauce is exactly how I like it--plain, simple, and raw. No extra herbs or spices, just pure tomato flavor, likely straight from the can, which works perfectly for me. I had the 3-cheese pizza, which was a bit on the salty side, probably due to the cheese itself, but still very enjoyable. They offer a different ice cream flavor every day, which is great for those who like variety, but I personally wish they had a plain vanilla option for people like me who prefer the classics. Overall, this is a cool spot with great pizza, and I definitely recommend it if you're craving pizza in Providence.

The food is delicious! The crust of the Sicilian style slices has great flavor and is crispy (in a great way) on the bottom. The burrata appetizer was also great with super fresh and ripe tomatoes. The custard was a yummy treat after too. Will definitely be back asap to try the whole pizzas

The planets finally aligned and I made it to Pizza Marvin! I mean, driving ALL THE WAY over here to the east side from the west end is a bit of an ardous journey. Lol Anyway, love the pepperoni slice of thick Sicilian style pizza and if you order the seasoned curly fries, be prepared to ask for a to go container because the portion is huge....unless they happened to give me extra because they loved my dress? There is both indoor and out door seating. Oh, and if you see someone squeezing lemons, do not ask for some of their homemade lemonade- because they don't sell that. The lemon juice is fir the salad dressing but they do offer a locally made lemonade in a bottle if you already made up you mind to have some.

The pizza is delish, Gene Parmesan agrees.

I found out about this place because of Grateful Dead event. I came for the Dead, I stayed for the pizza. I love everything about Pizza Marvin. Food - Delicious Pizzas are huge with fresh flavors and toppings Caesar salad, not your typical, but that's what I love about it. The garlic stays with you for hours, so don't order this on a first date. Drinks - a great variety of mixed and beers. Ice cream - they are always weird flavors like blueberry with corn or waffles and Taylor ham. Although I said weird somehow the flavors always are amazing! The vibes inside are cool, the low tops helped when I brought my nephew. You need to try Pizza Marvin.

Considered one of the best pizza spots in Providence, I recently got to try out Pizza Marvin while visiting Rhode Island. I can't judge the ambiance as the place was absolutely buzzing on a Saturday night with people packed in shoulder to shoulder while stopping in to grab a takeout order. We went with the large cheese pizza. Upon first looks, the pie is very attractive and somewhat artisanal, which elevated my hopes for a positive pizza experience. Sadly, the bottom of the pizza was overdone and lots of bites we had came with an excessively burnt taste that really detracted from the experience. The cheese and sauce were decent quality ingredients, but lacked the zest and pop you get with the better pizzas that I am spoiled with in the NJ/NY/PA areas. A family member that had eaten Pizza Marvin previously commented that it usually tastes better and isn't as burnt on the bottom. Seeing pictures of pizzas others have posted in reviews online, it seems I'm not alone among Pizza Marvin diners that have received a burnt pizza. Perhaps the kitchen dropped the ball a bit since it was so busy, but a good pizzeria never should have let a customer leave with a burnt pizza. All things considered, I'd hesitate to return to Pizza Marvin in the future and they wouldn't make my list of Providence pizza spots that I'd recommend to others.

Pizza is okay, definitely not amazing! Fries definitely could use salt, but do have a seasoning on them.

There are some places I like to hold off on reviewing until after I've gone a couple times- this is one of them. Pizza can be one of those things that battles consistency and also, your hunger for them just might be insanely high one day making any average slice taste amazing.. So, Pizza Marvin. There are a couple strong opinions I want to get out in the open. 1. Their red sauce is second to none. Absolutely delicious. 2. Pricing is quite steep. $24+ for a normal pizza and up to like.. $28 for one with a couple toppings.. Really? I have to agree with the super high price here with other reviewers. Unless Pizza marvin can confirm, I don't think they're using house milled flour, local farm to table ingredients or anything else that's very special to drive the price to this point. With that said, I'm an avid pizza maker. I have a few ovens, one wood fired, one electric, and one gas. I make my own sourdough pizza, my own detroit pizza, neapolitan, NY style and others in between. Suffice to say I don't go out for pizza often. I think Pizza marvin is worth going to. If it's a treat, and you can get past the sticker shock, I'm pretty confident you'll enjoy their pizza. I will say, the Marg AF could have used significantly more sauce dollops. It was pretty dry. However, the North Provolone I had on my first visit was top tier. I'd coin their pizza somewhere between New haven a'pizza and NY style. Good, flavorful char, enough bite to the crust but not so much that it gets laborious to chew. It's enjoyable and I wouldn't hesitate to go back- it's a once every couple months thing for me to go out for pizza. This is also a nice place if you enjoy eating outside, plenty of outdoor seating, their indoor space is pretty cool too, little bit of a retro vibe but more or less what you'd expect in a pizza joint. Service is as expected for carryout/counter service. You're not being waited on here.

There was street parking and at the time, it was free. There were about 4 parties inside when we walked in, which gave us some time to think about which slices we wanted. We eventually went with the arugula, cranberry, balsamic drizzle, and I think feta along with the spicy sun dried tomato. The slices are pretty big and they do put them in the oven before handing them over. Each slice is about $4-$6, but you can also order whole pies. There was seating inside, but the air conditioning was too strong, so we found a table outside. Before stepping out, we poured ourselves cups of complimentary water. The crust is crispy and thin so you really get to taste all the toppings. The arugula one was really good. I enjoyed the different flavors: sweet, salty, creamy, acidic, and surprisingly, the arugula was not overly bitter. The sun-dried tomato one was also good. I am typically not a fan but this one was good since the tomato wasn't tough, or overly acidic. I would highly recommend Fellini's for great food at a good price. I would consider this location to be better for quick trips, or take out to eat the food at the Pedestrian bridge, but they do have another location in Cranston which is prettier and bigger for sit down, family style, and large groups.

The bartender barely made eye contact, and when I ordered a spicy tequila soda, I was served with Tajín sprinkled on top--not exactly what I'd expect for a spicy drink. The food was equally underwhelming. The pepperoni pizza came out with the pepperoni completely burnt. When we mentioned it, we were told that's simply how they prepare it, so keep that in mind if you order pizza here. The wings were decent and had a good amount of meat on them, but that was about the only highlight. The nachos arrived swimming in grease, making them difficult to enjoy, and the toppings were just average. The French fries were another issue--they appeared to have been cooked in the same fryer as seafood. This wasn't disclosed, and the fries came out tasting noticeably fishy. Thankfully, I don't have a seafood allergy, but that could be a serious concern for someone who does. People are already there looking for a place to eat. Walk down Atwells Avenue long enough and they'll eventually find your door. Smithfield asks something different. It's a different beast. Out here you're competing with strip malls, chain restaurants, and parking lots. Nobody accidentally ends up here. You have to give people a reason to hit the turn signal, pull in, and stay awhile. Jacob Kamborian wasn't interested in building just another pizza shop. So he built a room. Not a pizza shop with a couple of televisions bolted to the wall. A real room. The stage isn't tucked into a corner. It's the centerpiece. Microphones are already set. The drum kit is waiting. Across the room, a long wooden bar stretches almost the entire length of the space, wrapped in old wine and liquor crates that look like they were collected over years instead of ordered from a catalog. Guitars hang on the walls. Music posters fill the gaps. An American flag watches over the dining room. Warm lighting softens the reclaimed wood and the whole place feels comfortable the moment you walk in. It doesn't feel designed. It feels lived in. Come for pizza. Stay for the night. That's a big gamble. When you ask people to spend three hours in your restaurant instead of thirty minutes, the food has to back up that invitation. We ordered two very different pizzas: an 18-inch Brooklyn round, half pepperoni, and a personal Sicilian with extra sauce. The Sicilian got my attention immediately. Before I took a second bite, I flipped the slice over. The bottom told me everything I needed to know. Evenly browned. Crisp from edge to edge. No pale spots. No soft center. No collapse. The middle stayed light and chewy without becoming heavy. Every bite had just enough push back before giving way. The sauce was savory, herby, and tasted fresh. Asking for extra sauce wasn't about rescuing the pizza. It was simply getting more of one of its best qualities. The Brooklyn pie told a different story. The back crust had more body than I expected. More chew. More bread. Plenty of cheese. Plenty of pepperoni. Plenty of oil. By the third slice, the pepperoni cups had turned into little pools of smoky, spicy oil. That's a Brooklyn slice. If you know, you know. What impressed me most was that the craftsmanship never disappeared beneath all that richness. The bake stayed remarkably even across the entire pie. The rim was consistent from beginning to end. Every slice folded cleanly, held together, and ate the way it should. Consistency like that doesn't happen by accident. Neither does a room like this. Jacob Kamborian has been making pizza in Rhode Island for fifteen years. The move from Federal Hill to Smithfield wasn't a change of address. It was a chance to build the place he'd been working toward all along. A place where the pizza, the stage, the bar, the music, and the people all belong together. After spending a couple of hours there, I understand the bet. He hit the jackpot.

We ordered garlic knots and two pizzas--a Margherita and a Coney Island. Our server even repeated the order back and specifically asked if we had any special requests, such as. getting the pizzas cooked to well done. I requested "medium," yet both pizzas arrived overcooked and marked "well done" on the bill. The garlic knots were the highlight--perfectly cooked and loaded with garlic. However, the pizzas were a letdown. The Margherita didn't have nearly enough fresh mozzarella, and the other pizza had the wrong toppings. When we received the bill, we saw that they served us a "Cyclone" instead of the Coney Island we ordered. We were hungry and had already waited so long that we didn't bother sending them back. At $28 per pizza, the experience at Napolitano's isn't worth it. Serving premium-priced food on paper plates feels cheap, and while we smelled fresh popcorn from the machine on the bar, none was ever offered. The live band was a nice touch, but between the slow service and consistent errors, I don't see myself returning.
