Steak Scallion Pizza & Pepperoni Slice

Stopped in for the first time over this past weekend. Service was friendly and they had a few by the slice options to choose from. The pizza was greasy and the inside felt dirty. It seems like a great pizza place for students, locals and after Hot Club/ Whiskey.

Here is their Greek salad and bacon, pumpkin pizza! Absolutely delicious!

    Thanksgiving Pizza slices

I visit here every year the day before Thanksgiving to pick up my Thanksgiving slices. This pizza is absolutely amazing. As a perfect combination of mashed potatoes, turkey, stuffing, and that side of cranberry top it off. And down the best Thanksgiving pizza that I've ever had. The staff is always super nice and has the line organized inside and outside in a way that gets you through nice and quickly. The patients they have with people who are trying to split orders between different credit cards and the handle special request is unbelievable!

Pizza is delish. Thin sliced and different options. Perfect place to visit. The salad dressing was delish. Crispy lettuce to go with it

Stopped by here after work (and because the traffic wasn't bad surprisingly) as they're another 'contestant' on the RI Food Fights 'Lord of the Pies' promotion during the month of November. Walked inside and presented my coupon and was told I could have a slice of anything behind the glass. I almost opted for a bacon but they were literally full slices of bacon and I prefer it diced up. Went with a Pepperoni and took a seat to wait for it come out of the oven. Great tasting pizza, a terrific blend of cheese, sauce and topping. The crust was crunchy and the underside had a perfect char to it. Looking forward to coming back in the future for a whole pizza !

Veggie slice and pesto and tomato slice

Awesome whole wheat crust with creative and unique toppings! Nice size slice to fold. Great, friendly service. Today is only my second day of doing Lord of the Flies this month, but this seems like it has a good chance of being a top contender for my favorite pizza in the area. I hope to come back and enjoy another slice here sometime. The restaurant has plenty of seating and a good amount of space between the tables.

Maple, bacon, waffle bits and a brown sugar ricotta

Delectable slice! I had one with waffle pieces, bacon and maple syrup drizzle. Also, I think the worker said the dollops on there were brown sugar ricotta. I was salivating over this slice (and I was 100% sober lol). Should have bought a whole pie. $4.60 w/ tax for the specialty slices.

Small spot. Good pizza slices. I would probably only go here if I just wanted a slice and not a whole pie. Better than Antonio's for sure!

The crust had that perfect wood-fired char -- crispy on the outside, soft and chewy inside, with just the right amount of crunch around the edges. The clam chowder side was such a Rhode Island/New England experience. Creamy, savory, loaded with seafood flavor, and topped with fresh herbs and potatoes that gave true chowder vibes in pizza form. Honestly, you can't come to Providence and not try chowder in every form possible! The meat lovers side was bold, hearty, and stacked with toppings. Pepperoni curled perfectly at the edges, sausage was flavorful, and every bite had the perfect balance of sauce, cheese, and smoky meat flavor. The atmosphere was relaxed, modern, and perfect for casual dining with friends or family. Great food, great vibe, and definitely a spot worth revisiting while in Providence.

The bartender barely made eye contact, and when I ordered a spicy tequila soda, I was served with Tajín sprinkled on top--not exactly what I'd expect for a spicy drink. The food was equally underwhelming. The pepperoni pizza came out with the pepperoni completely burnt. When we mentioned it, we were told that's simply how they prepare it, so keep that in mind if you order pizza here. The wings were decent and had a good amount of meat on them, but that was about the only highlight. The nachos arrived swimming in grease, making them difficult to enjoy, and the toppings were just average. The French fries were another issue--they appeared to have been cooked in the same fryer as seafood. This wasn't disclosed, and the fries came out tasting noticeably fishy. Thankfully, I don't have a seafood allergy, but that could be a serious concern for someone who does. The ambiance was fine, but overall the food and service left a lot to be desired, and I wouldn't go out of my way to return.

Massimo's has street parking or valet. They also take reservations. We came on a Monday and chose to order from their prix fixe menu. They also have a great à la carte menu. Our dinner came with focaccia and olives, a glass of house wine, an appetizer, entree, and dessert for $38/pp. Portions were smaller than the à la carte dishes but enough for us. Between my husband and I, we ordered the caprese salad and meatballs appetizers, sliced strip steak with mashed potatoes and mushrooms, a fettuccine with asparagus and prosciutto with cream sauce, and dessert was the pannecotta and cannoli. Pasta was freshly made and al dente, steak was tender and flavorful. We loved everything. My only complaint that for a large restaurant, bathroom was small. Only one unit per gender.

People are already there looking for a place to eat. Walk down Atwells Avenue long enough and they'll eventually find your door. Smithfield asks something different. It's a different beast. Out here you're competing with strip malls, chain restaurants, and parking lots. Nobody accidentally ends up here. You have to give people a reason to hit the turn signal, pull in, and stay awhile. Jacob Kamborian wasn't interested in building just another pizza shop. So he built a room. Not a pizza shop with a couple of televisions bolted to the wall. A real room. The stage isn't tucked into a corner. It's the centerpiece. Microphones are already set. The drum kit is waiting. Across the room, a long wooden bar stretches almost the entire length of the space, wrapped in old wine and liquor crates that look like they were collected over years instead of ordered from a catalog. Guitars hang on the walls. Music posters fill the gaps. An American flag watches over the dining room. Warm lighting softens the reclaimed wood and the whole place feels comfortable the moment you walk in. It doesn't feel designed. It feels lived in. Come for pizza. Stay for the night. That's a big gamble. When you ask people to spend three hours in your restaurant instead of thirty minutes, the food has to back up that invitation. We ordered two very different pizzas: an 18-inch Brooklyn round, half pepperoni, and a personal Sicilian with extra sauce. The Sicilian got my attention immediately. Before I took a second bite, I flipped the slice over. The bottom told me everything I needed to know. Evenly browned. Crisp from edge to edge. No pale spots. No soft center. No collapse. The middle stayed light and chewy without becoming heavy. Every bite had just enough push back before giving way. The sauce was savory, herby, and tasted fresh. Asking for extra sauce wasn't about rescuing the pizza. It was simply getting more of one of its best qualities. The Brooklyn pie told a different story. The back crust had more body than I expected. More chew. More bread. Plenty of cheese. Plenty of pepperoni. Plenty of oil. By the third slice, the pepperoni cups had turned into little pools of smoky, spicy oil. That's a Brooklyn slice. If you know, you know. What impressed me most was that the craftsmanship never disappeared beneath all that richness. The bake stayed remarkably even across the entire pie. The rim was consistent from beginning to end. Every slice folded cleanly, held together, and ate the way it should. Consistency like that doesn't happen by accident. Neither does a room like this. Jacob Kamborian has been making pizza in Rhode Island for fifteen years. The move from Federal Hill to Smithfield wasn't a change of address. It was a chance to build the place he'd been working toward all along. A place where the pizza, the stage, the bar, the music, and the people all belong together. After spending a couple of hours there, I understand the bet. He hit the jackpot.

This was our third visit, and while the pizza is good, something always seems to go wrong here…read more Despite the restaurant being quiet with plenty of seating, service was pretty slow. We ordered garlic knots and two pizzas--a Margherita and a Coney Island. Our server even repeated the order back and specifically asked if we had any special requests, such as. getting the pizzas cooked to well done. I requested "medium," yet both pizzas arrived overcooked and marked "well done" on the bill. The garlic knots were the highlight--perfectly cooked and loaded with garlic. However, the pizzas were a letdown. The Margherita didn't have nearly enough fresh mozzarella, and the other pizza had the wrong toppings. When we received the bill, we saw that they served us a "Cyclone" instead of the Coney Island we ordered. We were hungry and had already waited so long that we didn't bother sending them back. At $28 per pizza, the experience at Napolitano's isn't worth it. Serving premium-priced food on paper plates feels cheap, and while we smelled fresh popcorn from the machine on the bar, none was ever offered. The live band was a nice touch, but between the slow service and consistent errors, I don't see myself returning.
