I'm a New York transplant, so pizza is very important. I've been intrigued by Mickey's since I landed in North Kingstown late last year. Locals have described Mickey's as New York style, but I've heard that before and the results were ... tragic. Finally, the planets aligned and I found myself inside Mickey's ordering a cheese pie. I asked about the NY connection and was told the owner was from somewhere on Long Island, which is where I lived for 23 years. The pizza I brought home from Wickford took me back to places like Zozo's, by the Pathmark in Dix Hills. Mickey's RI/LI pie was a bull's-eye: sturdy crust with a satisfying chew, perky sauce, perfect cheese distribution. Now to try the rest of the selection. read more

Small pizza place with very limited outdoor seating. Delicious pizza I heard the guy say it was Sicilian but I lived in Sicily for over 4 years and didn't have any pizza like this. They sell by the slice or as a whole. They sell local sodas but they're not my favorite. A little on the pricier side for pizza prices but not sure if that's summer/seasonal pricing. Hard to find parking so if you're able to have someone loop around while you get the pizza, that might work. This place does not do delivery either. read more

Stopped in for a quick slice and as a New Yorker, I'll say this spot passes with flying colors. The crust was crisp, the cheese had that perfect stretch, and the sauce had just the right balance of tang and sweetness. Very pleasantly surprised to find legit pizza here in Rhode Island. A very decent pie and much like the ones I remembered from NYC in my youth. Nice chewy crust, generous toppings, and I really liked the pepperoni they used - actually peppery for a change, not a bland melange of fat and salt. It's not New Haven neapolitan - which is the best in the world of course - but it's pretty solid and will now be my back-up 'za parlor. They also offer some subs and salads - and we had a token Caesar - but come on, you're here for the pizza, man. Micky's is take-out only (which is no surprise in these days of the COVID) though they lack take-out menus and their website is pretty bare-bones. But no worries - it's easy enough to just tell them what you want and they'll let you know in a New York minute whether they can accommodate you. Micky's also now takes credit cards. read more

Small building but big taste!!! The hub picked up a large 'roni pie to-go and said the man he met inside (owner?) had a heavy NYC accent so he was super excited to try it. I can't vouch for the authenticity of the "NY Style" taste since I've never had a pie there but I can definitely attest to the deliciousness SO GOOD! The pie was large and the slices big enough to fold (which I'm told that true New Yorkers do) and the best part, imo, was the 'roni....quarter sized with perfectly crisped & curled up edges. Hub had to ask me to please stop stealing them off the top of the rest of the pie! The crust was perfect with nicely toasted air pockets spaced out around the edges. The cheese was generous, but not obnoxious (I hate when it pulls off & slaps on your chin) and the sauce was perfect, tasty but not overwhelmingly herbed. In other news, Mickeys was reasonably priced (not cheap but if you're looking for that, go to Dominos) and since it's located right in Wickford Village, it's surrounded by quaint little shops & art galleries. I recommend that you swing by on the way home or better yet...do some sightseeing, support small business & make a full day of it! We give Mickeys two pepperoni stained thumbs up!! read more

Ordered a Margarita Pizza and a Caesar Salad. First the pizza. The dough was good crispy bottom not floppy and good flavor. The tomato sauce was good though a bit too salty. The cheese and basil were good. A good pizza overall, a bit too many air bubbles. The Salad was overdressed but lettuce were fresh and crispy. Mickey's warrants a return. Salud! read more

Friendly people, ok pizza. A little overpriced, and they only have slices or a 16" pie, no 'small size'. Place was busy when I was there, but they were still banging everything out. Cash only, and its insanely cramped by the register, where people are trying to order and also waiting for their orders....they should really change the setup somehow. If I was shopping in/near Wickford, I'd probably stop in, but even living one town over, I don't envision going back. read more

Finally tried this place out. We are Slice and Co fans. This pizza looks really good and appears as if it will have a strong undercarriage. The pizza had good taste and had fresh basil in it. However it's a floppy dough. We did have a 15 min ride home, but our pizza from Slice and Co is the same distance and doesn't flop. My husband got the chicken parm calzone and loved it. I had a bite and I will say it's tasty. Their Insta show a lot of food and dessert pics so I would recommend following them. Pizza is ok. On the pricier side too. 16 inch cheese was $17. read more

I've only had their pizza once so far, before the pandemic. I got two slices and couldn't wait to get them home so I gobbled them in my car out in front of the restaurant. It was SO GOOD. One piece actually had macaroni on top. I don't know if they still make it because I didn't see it on the menu but it was incredible! If they stopped making it, I beg you, please bring it back Micky! This is simply the best pizza in RI. They are only open Thursday Friday Saturday and Sunday. You can get slices or whole pizzas. They do zero advertising and it's hard to just find their phone number, but still the best pizza around. My favorite is "Grandma's pizza". read more

Small little pizza shop in North Kingstown that serves up big flavor. Quite possibly the best pizza in the area. We ordered the garlic knots which were delicious, didn't cheat on the garlic, these things were outstanding. We also ordered the pepperoni pizza which is as close to anything you're going to get New York style, crust was done to perfection. The next pie was the BBQ chicken with the hot honey glaze, gave it a nice mix of sweet and spicy, pizza was delicious. The place also serves pizza by the slice as well as other desserts. I ordered 3 pizza's for a small gathering (6 adults). Not knowing who would like what, I ordered a plain cheese pizza, a meatball and sausage pizza and an eggplant, olive and pepper pizza. When I went to pick up, the total was $75.00! When I inquired, I was give the prices of each individually. Anything with more than 1 ingredient is considered an extra and raises the price by $5. Seems a little steep to me. After having it explained to me, it still came to "only" $70. When I asked about that, I was told there is a $5 charge for using a credit card. Although the pizza was delicious and (16") a little bigger than standard, I can't get by the pricing structure. The bottom line was still $75 for 3 pizzas. Shouldn't need to re-fi the house for dinner! Even for great pizza. v2 p.s. get rid of the $5 swipe for credit cards. Poor business practice. Most pay with cards today. read more
