Nice Slice has been one of my favorite pizza spots for years, and at this point it's easily in my top three pizza places in Rhode Island. Every time I stop in, I'm reminded why it has earned that spot. The pizza is outstanding. The crust has just the right texture with a great chew, the toppings are always generous, and every slice feels like it was made with care. You're never left wondering where the toppings went because every bite is packed with flavor. The staff has always been friendly, and the service is impressively fast, even when they're busy. Prices are more than fair, especially considering the quality of the pizza you're getting. It's one of those places where you leave feeling like you got your money's worth. The location is convenient, and while you're in Providence, parking has never been much of an issue for me. It's easy enough to get in, grab a slice, and be on your way, although I usually end up sticking around to enjoy it while it's fresh out of the oven. Always great. We love the Sicilian slices and pretty much everything at nice slice. The vegan slices are a big hit with my vegetarian child. The service is always friendly. Al's ways a great variety of soft drinks to pair with your pizza. Buffalo pizza is really good. Cheese slices are the best around. (That's a rhetorical question - the actual answer is in my literal neighborhood, I just never knew they had such a bangin gluten-free program here.) A 10" gluten-free pie, which is like a "personal pizza" size, will run me ~$15. Are you kidding me? That is so rare & reasonable, I want to give them a smooch to say thank you. I've been obsessed with the "Figgy Stardust" pizza lately - it's prosciutto, figs, arugula, fresh mozzarella, & evoo. I add ricotta because why the hell not. It's both sweet & savory, the toppoings are plentiful & balanced, & the crust is perfectly done. It's been a long time since I had a non-gluten free pizza crust, so I kinda forget how they really are. I truly appreciate any restaurant that offers vegan options but I don't recommend the vegan pizza here. Or at least, you're better off eating it fresh at the restaurant rather than delivery. My family ordered delivery and it arrived soggy. The nondairy cheese didn't taste the best and had a slimy texture (which is not unheard of for vegan pizzas, but combined with the soggy crust it was just unappetizing). The sauce and cheese were placed next to each other instead of putting cheese on top of the sauce - maybe that's their "thing" but it's not my preference. We also got the fig pizza, which was just okay. Again maybe it's better at the restaurant, but if you're ordering delivery you're better off getting pizza elsewhere or making your own. read more

The pizza is very similar to Fellini's, but Nice Slice's options aren't as unique as Fellini's and they have less options. Nice Slice is literally the reason I keep visiting Providence after all these years. This pizza joint used to be located on Thayer Street and was the detonation for many late night 2 hour drives from the middle of Connecticut. Now, this was my first time visiting the new location and my first time having Nice Slice in over 4 years so I was pretty dang excited to sink my teeth into a few slices. I ended up ordering a slice of the BBQ Chicken and a slice of the plain cheese pizza and these slices were everything I could of hoped for and more. The BBQ Chicken was absolutely delicious (and I kind of wish I got some to take with me), and the same can be said for the cheese pizza as well. This new location is probably 4-6 times bigger then the original and offers a plethora of indoor seating along with a ton of cool art plastered on the wall.
