Pizza Mike's is conveniently located at Storrs Four Corners making it easily accessible for folks at or near UConn and surrounding towns. THE FOOD -it's in the name...they do pizza! -I've had a wide variety of their pizzas and have enjoyed many of them -while they may seem a bit pricey, their large pizzas are large and DENSE (at least the specialty ones pack some weight). 2 slices and I'm done for -they're really good about getting specifications correct! I am a picky eater so I usually sub some ingredients (within reason) and they have never gotten it wrong -crowd favorites for pizza: Buffalo chicken, margherita, and Philly cheese steak! - THE AMBIANCE -it's inside a gas station so yea lol -there is a cute little table outside though if you are grabbing a quick slice on your lunch -good rewards program THE SERVICE -like I said, they never get an order wrong -they are always so so so nice on the phone and always willing to answer any questions I have -I'm in an organization that often orders 10+ pizzas for our meetings and they always do a great job and deliver on time -our last order we tried the Philly cheesesteak for the first time and I put in the comments how I hate onions but my partner wanted them so please make sure it really is half and half. I thought I was going to have to scavenge to figure out which half had the onions but they wrote in the box which I thought was so kind!! (Also---this is our new favorite pizza from them! It was delicious..we asked them to go a little lighter on the cheese so it wasn't quite as dense) Overall, it's a really good pizza and in a convenient location for us. It's not my favorite pizza ever, but definitely the one I prefer locally. When you add on the amazing service you're provided by the staff it's a no brainer!! Came across this hidden gem during my recent move to Mansfield. Never would have thought I would have seen a pizza place in a gas station! This place has amazing pizza. Very big size for a large cut into big slices so it is defy more than enough to fill you up. Their pizza sauce has an amazing flavors they have amazing service all for a very reasonable price. It was shocking to find out how good the pizza was coming from a gas station. Would definitely recommend if you're ever driving by one and looking for a bite to eat. read more

When preparing the day before Thanksgiving, I was pressed for time. Cleaning, prepping sides, and having a friend stop by. Looked online for nearby delivery. Very pleased to have found and tried Pizza Mike's. The toppings were perfectly distributed, the cheese was the perfect amount, and crust done exactly how I like it. The BLT pizza had garlic crust, great option to add! Many places try doing a bit pizza and you get a mouth full of mayo. Pizza Mike's had a great combination with plenty of bacon and was exactly what I had hoped for. The Buffalo chicken pizza had an option of ranch or blue cheese. I was very happy that the distribution of chicken wasn't overly large or too scant either. The dressing was under the cheese, giving the perfect amount with each bite. I really enjoyed how the cheese was over the chicken. Most places put the chicken on top that gets dried out. One of the best pizzas I've had in the area. Will be ordering from them again. Must have been a new employee. I ordered a cold Mediterranean grinder which they only come cold according to their menu and she started to put it in the oven and I told her it's a cold one and she was a little rude about it and when she started to make the grinder she didn't have gloves on I asked her to put gloves on and then in the middle of making the grinder she took the gloves off to grab something from the fridge and she didn't put the gloves back on so I asked her again. And if she did it one more time I would have taken my money back. She left the feta off the grinder she left the artichokes off the grinder, she didn't know what she was doing. She should not be working there especially not knowing to put gloves on at the start of an order. Worst grinder I've ever had at this place. It's usually good but this girl was horrible. read more

A great option if you're looking for pizza in the UCONN area. Definitely not a dine- in restaurant, it's attached to a gas station. But don't let that fool you... the pizza is very high quality. Mozzarella cheese was fresh and fantastic and the amount of chicken they give on the buffalo chicken pizza is outstanding. Only critique was that the pizza could've been cooked 1-2 minutes longer as the crust was on the flimsy and mushy side. Even if Pizza Mike's didn't deliver, I'd still give them a good review. But they DO deliver, and literally the only pizza joint that does in my town. Pizza Mike's has fun pizzas- the philly steak pizza is a favorite, as well as the BLT. Pizza Mike and his brother, Deep Dish Dave (twins no less) are enthusiastic, attentive, and truly customer oriented. Do not let the location put you off (they operate out of a gas station, which is understandably a turnoff for some)- their kitchen is immaculate (you have full view of it when coming to pick up your order if you're the sort who doesn't revel in delivery), and the food is always fresh and tasty. My only con is that the pizzas skew toward the expensive side, which, given a different location and atmosphere, you probably wouldn't think twice about, but it does prevent me from ordering them more frequently. read more

Tried to place a pick up order over the phone and the customer service was awful. Who ever was taking the order was rushing me while interrupting when ever I spoke, and when I tried to ask a dietary question about one of the toppings he told me to go look at the menu online. After reading all of the great reviews that this place has, I decided to give it a try. Honestly, I'm a bit disappointed. The first thing that I noticed was how bland the cheese was. All of the pizza places that I frequent have cheese that has a bit of taste to it, but this just tasted like bland mozzarella. The sauce and crust weren't anything to write home about, either. It's not BAD pizza, but it's nothing special, either. Not what I was expecting, from all of the five-star reviews and the price. This place is amazing and so so weird. We have been referring to it as Monster Pizza because they have things like a BLT pizza with a mayonnaise sauce on the menu and I am fascinated. Have legit forwarded the menu to like ten people. I applaud your spirit of innovation, Pizza Mike!! The best pizza in Mansfield! As a person who grew up on New York Style pizza, I have come to appreciate the New Haven style pizza in this area...but nothing compares to a good thin crust with some cornmeal on the bottom and cheese out to the edge. The customer service is always great too! I often pick up with a baby and preschooler in tow and they will carry the pizza to my car for me. Tried pizza Mike's for the first time tonight, customer service was excellent! Very friendly staff. I was supposed to get 2 salads with my order but left with 1 ... It is conveniently located down the road from UCONN in Storrs. The pizza is so fresh and the wait staff are all friendly people. They have pizza slices ready to go for a quick bite! They have so many different kinds of pizza with all different toppings..very creative! Caitlin and Danielle were the first 2 people I met during my first visit there. They smiled, were friendly, and welcoming. 2 other members of the staff, named Aly and Maxwell, were also extremely nice to me! The environment feels warm, comforting..almost like you are at home. We were amazed by the reviews for Pizza Mike's being so amazing - all those 5 star reviews had us curious. We decided to give it a shot because we wanted to order in. We went with three smalls: the twice baked potato, chicken parm, and philly cheese stake pizzas (none of them with peppers). We wished that they had other things on the menu: calzones, cheese sticks, cheese bread, something. The delivery driver was calling after about 45 minutes. It came to just under $50 for the three. They were good. The twice baked potato was my favorite. Slices of potato, bacon, sour cream and chives. It wasn't overpowering in terms of flavor and the crust was yummy. My partners favorite was the philly cheese steak. It had good flavor but maybe lacking because of the missing peppers. It wasn't my favorite but he liked it. We were both thinking the chicken parm was both of our second favorites. The sauce had a bit of a kick to it which was a pleasant surprise. The chicken was great and I added a little ranch to take it over the top. At the end of the night, it was good pizza but not the best ever. Best. Pizza. Ever. We were new to the area and craving pizza. So, we hit Yelp and found the closest place. You'd think with this being a college town, the quality would be just okay all around. Well, Pizza Mike's was an unexpected surprise. For our first order, we had the lamb feta pizza. That thing was amazing. It's in a class all of its own. A word of caution, if you're looking for a straight up meat, cheese, and red sauce kind of fix, the lamb feta will leave you wanting. I can't tell you how good it was though, just don't substitute it for the stereotypical pizza affair. We ordered again the next week because the lamb feta was so good and we had to see how they did with the classic meat lovers. We were not disappointed. It was bar-none one of the best pizzas I've ever had. We talked to one of the owners, "Deep Dish" Dave, and really enjoyed hearing about their restaurant and how they came to be in the back of a tiny gas station convenience store. It is a little more expensive than other pizza places but to me it is well worth the extra few bucks for a better pizza. I was pleasantly surprised by this pizza place. Being a pizza snob who grew up on NY style pizza I really couldn't find anything in the area that I would consider good pizza! This changed my mind! I ordered the buffalo chicken and my boyfriend ordered the cheese pizza both were delicious. Guy who answered the phone was very polite and we were surprised to find out that they would deliver to us in Willington.
