We order the party size pizzas from here for work regularly and they are always a hit! Delivery in Hartford is fast and friendly and the pizzas always hit the spot. I placed an order with ABC Pizza on the phone this morning. I needed a large cheese pizza for my class' holiday party. I was nervous a large wouldn't be enough to feed 10 little kids and a few adults, so I ordered their sheet pizza. It was delivered within a half hour since I called. It was around $28. This was a very large pizza. It was cut into small squares, which is perfect for little hands to hold. It was also very cheesy. This pizza was super greasy, I had to pat it with a paper towel to pick up some of the grease. The ABC pizza was very doughy, with a very minimal crust, I enjoyed the crust, it was crispy, but I wouldn't call it crunchy. I should have gone with a large. Most of the kids had one slice, and a few had two. There were plenty of leftovers. While this is far from my favorite pizza, I would order from them in the future, for my class. The delivery was fast and the kids loved it. I just wish it wasn't so greasy. read more

I am impressed to say the least. We started with being disappointed because the original worst rated pizza restaurant that I read about was actually closed permanently upon arrival and that was "Westend" in Hartford and so the next 2 star location was "ABC Pizza House" which is located next to a fire dept and across from Trinity College. I was hit with the warm greeting when I walked in and as I looked around, you can tell that the team here takes pride in their establishment for it was clean throughout the restaurant. Sure, there were a few stacks of soda in the next room over but they were even neatly placed and so I felt comfortable eating here. Now, this is supposed to be a comparison to the best rated pizza video that I had shot the. other day and so I placed the same order, white pie with clams and pepperoni and it was not exactly a night and day situation but the clams weren't as fresh as they were from Frank Pepe's. They definitely used different clams for the taste was off just a bit but not necessarily the end of the world. The pepperoni was your average run of the mill style, that provided flavor and the mozzarella wasn't half bad. The crunch on the crust is what I always check for and they did not fall short there. Now overall, this pizza falls in the 3 star range for me but it was the customer service that took them up a notch for the 3.5 stars, which in turn must be rounded up and so we arrive at 4 stars here on Yelp. You can tell the management Team here reads their yelp reviews and have been putting in the work to provide a better quality of food here and service to their community and I love that for them. So much so, that I plan to reach out to see if I can help them with some Promotional Videos to help get the word out that they are really listening to their customers and want. to show them the changes being made. read more

Best Pizza in Hartford. Ive been coming here for years. There aren't too many seats inside. I think there is 1 that they use now. Years ago they used to have a dining room area with more booths but I think they use it for stock now. Either way..The taste is on here. Very friendly, fast service and great tasting pizza. I've order a small BLT pizza and a Crispy Chicken Salad from this establishment in the last week and the best part was throwing the menu away. The BLT pizza was bitter, the tomatoes were chewy, the "B" taste like bacon bits from the can, the "L" was just there for color. The crust was too thick and lacked flavor. I decided to give the place a second chance and I ordered the Crispy Chicken Salad and it was worse than the pizza. The same iceberg lettuce used, low quality Dollar General mozzarella, and the chicken bites were definitely a frozen chicken patty cut up out of the microwave. The dressing taste like polish remover. This is important to me because there is not a reasonable place to eat takeout near where I work. I usually order a greek salad or a full toasted ham grinder. Both dishes are excellent. Don't underestimate the pizza here, especially if you like Greek style pizza. I've only been here once but this is my favorite new pizza joint. The neighborhood can be a deterrent for some folks but I felt extremely comfortable getting out of my car and walking around the corner to the restaurant. The staff was courteous and although they were extremely busy, they acknowledged me as soon as I walked in and had a few works while I waited for my pizza. ABC Pizza is definitely not the best pizza in the area, but its the best pizza that you will be able to find in Hartford that delivers late at night. I have been going here off and on throughout the years due to moving..and have had there ham grinders on the three other occasions..they werent bad. Today i order a pepporoni slice and it is literally yesterdays CHEESE pizza with nicely added pepperonis. Bread is stale and definetly not fresh. Cheese is not even moist anymore. I ordered literally at opening and expected fresh food. Its truly a shame because they used to be my favorite but this is ridiculous and pizza is going to the trash. Great Greek style pizza. I grew up on this food. I've been going for roughly 20 years now. Just good ingredients made with love. The salads and subs aren't bad but the pies are what make me go back. I saw a few people say how it's "Not NY Pizza" well no kidding (Why come to Connecticut for NY pizza when you live in NY?!) As far as wait times for delivery there happens to be a college campus across the street so yeah, you'll probably wait a little longer some days but these guys do all they can to arrive on time. DISGUSTING/COLD/SOGGY MANAGER WILL YELL AT YOU WHEN YOU COMPLAIN!!!!! I cannot believe my experience.. I ordered delivery (decent wait time) large buffalo chicken pizza and mozz sticks xtra sauce(was advised they were baked not fried) appreciated the heads up but my 3 year old loves them either way (normally). ... Got my food pizza was gross but edible (not wasting $18) (not even real chicken)... So i go to guve my kid her mozz sticks and they are cold soggy with no cheese left in them and sauce was half grease. Called to speak with manager (twice) waited 15 mins for a call back and the manager then proceeded to say if im going to complain about his food he wouldnt just send a small side salad because "i would just call and complain again" (MIND YOU THIS IS MY FIRST TIME EVER CALLING THIS PLACE!)so when i asked him what he planned on doing he said he would refund the money ..i said i just want something for my child to eat he refused to send out anything else .
