used to be our favorite place to go Fridays and sit at the bar but unfortunately the new male bartender isn't good. I have generally been a huge fan of Luna. I love their pizza and go there often. Before this i would have given a 5 star review. I recently had a very disappointing experience with a delivery and so far have not had a good experience trying to get some positive resolution. I ordered a pizza to be delivered to an elderly friend directly from Lunas website. There was no indication that Luna did not directly handle the delivery. The pizza was left on the outside doorstep.. the delivery person never knocked or rang the doorbell. My friend looked out and saw the pizza and when it was brought in it was cold and unappetizing. When i called Luna the manager said it was a doordash delivery and so, their problem. He offered no resolution. I called doordash and was told since the order came through the luna website, ( not through doordash) luna received the money and they were the ones who should issue a refund or discount! I called luna again and left a detailed message for the manager.. who has not returned my call! I am still hoping they will do the right thing... my message here is... eat onsite at Luna... the pizza and service are very good. Beware of delivery through their website as delivery is contracted out and luna takes no responsibility for how delivery is executed or any impact on food quality. read more

Just when you got their service could not get worse, it did. Horrible new ordering system. You order thru Clover. They add a fee. Clover delivers via Doordash. They add a fee. $40 for a large pizza. Then the driver took 30 minutes after pickup to deliver. (The restaurant is less than a mile away.). The pizza was ice cold. And it is August. read more

Well run and clean. The pizzas are available with some great toppings. Personally I love the fresh ricotta that is piped on after the cooking. The service is always good and the servers are attentive. The atmosphere is a little noisy but I am old and crotchety so take that with a grain of salt. I'd like to start by saying we did not have their PIZZA which I have heard is very good. That being said.... We entered and decided to sit in the bar or lounge area. This area has many photos of elephants and has details like elephant bar rails. ( The photos make it feel a little outdated. ) Onto the food. I ate it, but I won't again.. The Eggplant Parm was bizarre. It appears there were three slices of soggy eggplant completely buried in sauce. My husband ordered a salad, he said it was nothing spectacular. We went to Luna Pizza the other night for a Medicare Informational session ( yes, I am that old), and free pizza. My head is still spinning from the confusing medicare decisions, however I know I'll be back to Luna Pizza for their veggie pizza. Loaded with veggies, including one of my favorites, pieces of breaded eggplant. The crust was exactly how I like it - thin & crispy. My husband really liked the cheese pizza. Not overly doused with cheese. Sauce was good - chunky tomatoes. We didn't try anything else, but I've heard the meatballs are good. We were there on a Wednesday night, and the bar area seemed to be pretty busy and a bit loud, so that our Medicare presenter had to shout. Excellent service, I cannot stress this enough. The young women who run the orders and handle customers are absolutely golden. They are always nice, even when customers are rude/bossy. Trust me, I've seen it. They always double-check orders and make sure you're getting what you asked for. Tried these guys as part of my pizza exploration of the area. Tring to find the best pie around, since there's tons of pizza options. Tried them, didn't like them. They're okay, but not good or great. Got my typical order of a side of meatballs and a specialty pie. This time opting for their chicken bacon ranch large pie. The meatballs were very good! Sauce had a lot of flavor and the meatballs were not dense and cooked throughout. The pizza was lacking though. The crust was good! It seems like they put a lot of care and effort into making their dough and you can taste it. Which is why I'm sad the rest of the pie fell short. There wasn't much in the way of toppings, which in a way was a good thing. The cheese, chicken, and ranch dressing all seemed old or some inferior off brands or frozen ingredients. That and it was expensive for the quality, which really puts me off. They have some redeeming qualities, so a red pie from them might be good. Outstanding pizza! Love the original cheese. Fresh tomato sauce ( perfectly seasoned) topped with fresh mozzarella on top of crispy thin crust. Go for the extra mozzarella and a shake of Parmesan and you're in heaven. We do not live near Glastonbury, in fact we are 20 miles away. And yes, it's worth the drive there and home. Business called to let us know it would take an extra 1/2 hr on top of promised delivery time - so now almost 2 hrs from time order was placed. Asked for 10 plates, napkins, crushed pepper and parmesan cheese. Received cold pizzas - not even lukewarm-with no cheese and no napkins. Pizzas were not great- the veggie pizza was wet from all the vegetables so the crust was literally soggy. Same thing with the margherita pizza- diced tomatoes thrown in haphazard clump. Called in a take out here while craving pizza one night. Even on a Saturday night only had to wait 25 minutes for it to be ready which is great. Fun fact- you can get your pizza half/half of two signature pizza combinations!! Love that. Don't think you'd be able to choose that ordering online but totally worth the call in to get two fun flavors :) Pizza is thinner crust and not over cooked (aka burned). Super yummy and I took a leap of faith ordering pizzas with avocado on them- the avos weren't brown! Yey. If I could give no stars I would. This pizzeria is the worst in Glastonbury. This particular pizza took an hour and 16 minutes to arrive. The entire bottom was burned AND the pizza arrived cold. Manager refused to issue a refund, this is by far the worst experience I've had here. He even threatened to call the police if I came to the restaurant with the same complaint. Major components check out: crispy crust, cheese to sauce ratio on point, no grease, minimal flop, and those little black flakes that fall off the crust because it's just the right amount of cooked. The food is just OK, not nearly as good as the one in West Hartford. Last night we ordered food at 4:20 and the confirmation email said to expect delivery in 60 minutes. At 5:35 I called and asked for a status update - the food had not even left the restaurant. I called again at 6:00 and it finally arrived a few minutes later, so we waited an additional 40 minutes on top of the hour we expected. If you are that busy then you should call and let customers know to expect to wait longer. read more

The salmon pizza is delicious and so are the meatballs. There is better pizza around but it wasnt bad. The menu has not been updated. My party ordered at least 4 items that were no longer on the menu or what we ordered had been altered from the menu. Kind of strange. The day we went they were having some sort of meltdown. We had the antipasto and a pizza with black olives and meatballs. So delicious. Generous portions. Well seasoned pizza sauce, and awesome crispy crust. The service here is always excellent. Our server was pleasant and on top of it. The inside of the restaurant is spotless and well appointed. They've got some great seats in the windows! After reading several recent 1 star reviews because of service, I thought to myself these must be Yelp food snobs, as this is a pizza joint and who cares that much about service. I should have listened to my fellow Yelpers. Went for a quick lunch on a Sunday with a small group of friends. Unfortunately a quick lunch at Luna's took 2 hours. Sat at the table and no one came over after 15 minutes so we had to find them to let them know we were ready to order. Then drinks came out two at a time with long waits in between leaving us wondering if they forgot the rest of the drinks. We ordered 3 pizzas which took about an hour to come out. No one came over to see how we were doing in the mean time. Once we got the pizza we had to find them again for plates and silverware. The waitress apologized at the end for how busy they were. The problem with that was there were only 2 or 3 other tables in the restaurant. Needless to say we won't be back which is too bad because the pizza was decent. read more
