Went hiking in the Monterey area with my boyfriend and was craving something greasy in the middle of driving back home at 9 pm. Pizza My Heart in Gilroy was the closest one on our drive back and we decided to get the Big Sur Pizza ( I have had it a few times at other locations ) and it was still delicious as usually. Very consistent from locations to locations. It was actually my boyfriend's first time trying pizza there and he stated that, this was the best pizza he's actually ever had since moving to the United States! Pizza My ... get it together!!!! I'm currently standing next to the soda machine after standing in line waiting for my order to be taken. People were standing in line to get their orders taken & instead of taking the orders IN ORDER of when people were standing & waiting they start taking orders of people who hadn't been standing there as long. They are completely disorganized. The ONLY reason why we're here is for my daughter's school fundraiser. Otherwise, we'd be getting pizza at Pinocchio's pizza or Round Table. No organization at all. Just chaos. Been here before & the pizza is... ok. Nothing to rave about. Plus... this place is too small to hold a school fundraiser. Get some organization PMH. You had the line at one register (the one in the corner as you enter) and then... w/out telling people, you switch to the other register (by the seating area). Get it together. Won't be coming here again anytime soon. Update: Got home (I live 4 mins away) & 2 of the 3 slices we ordered were cold. I ordered a pepperoni & sausage slice. My husband got a pepperoni slice & our kid got a cheese slice. We had to wait 10 minutes for the cheese slice & while we were waiting our other two slices were not kept warm. The restaurant is clean and the employees were friendly. There are plenty of seats to throw a pizza party. The pizzas are fresh. They do whole pizzas or by the slice. They use fresh ingredients. Parking is plentiful outside the restaurant. read more

I'm sorry but if "terrible" is a word, this place exactly exemplifies it. ORDERED two pizza slices. However, all of the displayed slices looked burnt and super dry. The crusts were black, literally. And I was right. Purchasing the slices, the back of both slices were black. We are guessing they don't wash their pizza plates or they simply just don't care and leave it in the oven until they remember. Wouldn't make any more fresh ones until the display slices were sold. Literally sold pepperoni slices to a family who desired cheese slices at a discount and told them to simply remove the pepperoni. This statement alone defines this establishment/chain as a whole. SERVICE: I mean the guy was nice. He states he is 18 and in college... you can't simply crush this or review this. AMBIANCE: I swear no one dined in. Standard pizza my heart decor with less photos, memorabilia, etc. I even didn't want to dine in so much so I made every one eat in the car. Wish we'd stayed home. Lousy service, meal arrived piece-meal, staff was cavalier, and my pizza was dried out and a little burnt, like re-heated day-old pizza. Had to ask for a refund for part of the order because it hadn't yet arrived and it was just time to go home--we were no longer hungry. The workers here are nice and friendly. The restaurant and restroom are very clean. The pizza they make here are very delicious. They don't even burn the pizza. My favorite pizza from here is the veggie one. Love their freestyle Coca-Cola machine. read more

Ordered from this place 2 weeks in a row. Pizza was excellent. Tried the pepperoni, the pesto slice and the wings. Pizza crust had great texture and chew. I ordered delivery and it all held up nicely. The wings were actually spicy. Can't tell you how many times I've ordered hot wings for them to only come out peppery. This place was excellent. Especially since I'm in town for work. Would order a 3rd time for sure to really start exploring the menus. read more

My son is a huge fan so when he saw that Gilroy opened up a new Pizza My Heart we needed to stop in. It's in a new shopping center off 1st street and is down the street from Gilroy Gardens. The parking lot is kind of small for the number of places within the shopping center so it can get packed and cramped. I'll just advise that you be cautious and patient. We walked in around dinner time (7PM) on a week night. There are only a few tables and only one booth could accommodate maybe 6 adults. You are greeted as soon as you walk in. They have separated the registers, one to accommodate people coming in for just a slice or two and the other for the whole pizza's, larger orders, etc. They have a few choice beer on tap. Don't ask me what they were because I forgot. What I did take note of was the number of firemen and police officers that came and went. Uhhmmm, hellow...lol! So single ladies and men want a view to go with that slice of pepperoni..stop on in! We were lucky and was able to snag a table for our party of 4. They brought the pizza to us. Then I asked the gentleman how much it was for a side of ranch and he looked at me like I was crazy followed by "they are over there in the refrigerated section. We don't charge for them. If you are going to places that charge you for a side of ranch, stop going and just come back here". Say less!!!! We ordered a medium half cheese, half Big Sur (their version of a combo). Then my other son ordered a slice of Manresa which had slices of tomato, fresh basil and dollops of ricotta. I also ordered a caesar salad that was delicious. It came with a wedge of lemon and I've never squeezed lemon juice on my caesar salad but will be doing so from now on. It added just the right touch of palate pleasing. read more

We were just in here tonight around 5pm. Exceptional customer service from everyone that we encountered, from the guys who took our order to the chefs making excellent food, to the guys that delivered our food. Very polite, professional and hard working. We split a caesar salad ( big portion, very fresh, quality Parmesan cheese and dressing) a veggie slice, pepperoni sausage slice and some wings. Good beer. I went there around 1:30 for late lunch. The pizza we want wasn't available at the time. So we asked how long need to wait , they say 10 mins( not bad, so we wait) . We were so hungry, time goes by fast, 10 mins , 15 mins..... then we actually wait for 25 mins. If they say it out front, we would go somewhere instead since we are so hungry. Ok, so I am from Sacramento and we do not have a Pizza My Heart. This is only my second time in my life ever having this pizza and my heart has been won over. This is a new store and they are poppin! A gentleman named Spencer took the time to talk to me and get me the perfect pizza, The Watsonville Apple, holy smokes folks. It is absolutely delicious! I am only visiting the area for one night but I am getting another pizza on my way home for sure. Best pizza in Gilroy! 4.5 stars for me :) I'll elaborate I've been patiently waiting for this place to open and it definitely didn't disappoint. They offer great options for different pizza styles and everything I've tried so far is pretty delicious (fav is maui wowie + manresa), and the best part about it all is that you can order by the slice. Nice atmosphere for a dine-in experience and amicable staff. -0.5 stars Only gripe is the line situation/order&pay system. Once you walk through the doors, you're squeezing between people on both sides of you, unsure where to line up. Maybe there was just a lack of communication between the staff and patrons, but it seemed like nobody knew who was to order next because of the disorganization. I know there isn't a ton of space up front they can allocate to line forming, but I have a hard time believing this issue wasn't anticipated by the team who designed this space. Surely there's a more organized and proficient system that can benefit both sides. Maybe some indicative signage like ORDER HERE, LINE UP HERE, etc. I know they've just opened and are still figuring out the little kinks so I'll definitely cut them some slack, but I think improving this solidifies this spot as a 5-star experience. I honestly think it's the location and the poor quality control. Undercooked and they didn't even cut the pizza. Had to use our own pizza cutter. Doesn't matter how busy or lazy you are, you need to deliver quality products to your customers. Never had an issue at Pizza My heart on Blossom Hill Road in San Jose. Will go there next time. So incredibly excited to have Pizza My Heart in our community. We went during their soft opening/training day and we were welcomed in by the wonderful staff. We bought 9 t shirts for $8 each, which included a free slice of pizza with each shirt. The pizza was to die for & the kids are already asking when we can go back for another slice. They had plenty of options to choose from and even offered gluten free pizza. The booths were comfortable and the staff were very attentive.
