My cousin and his family surprised me one Saturday afternoon. My grandma was at the hospital, so we were communicating daily and constantly to coordinate a time to visit. It's not just to visit but we wanted to help her eat and translate for her. We were always close, but I think this made us so much closer. I was at home when they called to tell me they were 10 min away and to get out of the house. I was in awe, felt so loved and nurtured. They were in Gilroy for the day, ate there, and got me something. They drove an extra 15 min after Gilroy to drop it off for me. The crust was delicious; slightly chewy, incredibly airy. The combination pizza had fresh ingredients, fully loaded! The cannoli were rich, crunchy, light.. mildly sweet. We enjoyed our surprise pizza and desserts so much. read more

The pros: our medium pizza was pretty big and came loaded with toppings (definitely no skimping here). We also ordered a meatball sub, and that sandwich was massive. Everything was decently tasty, although very heavy. The cons: they don't have a bathroom, and they don't provide any of the basics, like plates, red pepper flakes, or cheese. I usually enjoy topping my pizza with some parmesan, so I asked if they had any packets or if they could give me a small container (and I was willing to pay for an extra "topping"), and the person behind the counter rather dismissively said "cheese has already been put on the pizza." read more

Great spot! It was my first time here even though I grew up in this town lol. I ordered the chicken combo and the supreme veggie combo, both were delicious but the chicken was my favorite. I think it's because it had a really crunchy bacon topping on it, while the veggie one slightly lacked some flavor. I do wish the garlic knots were more like knots instead of bread rolls with cheese on top, and it never hurts to add a bit more garlic... Came in yesterday to get take out from here after the rave reviews from people about how well they've been throwing it down this quarantine. My friend is in a Facebook take out group and reconsidered this place even though he is a staunch supporter of round table for reasons unknown. He suggested we give the place a try, and I pounced on it, as I've heard at work that people say this is the best pizza in town. He's a pepperoni guy and I like anything but so I went with the veggie supreme and called in to ask if they could do that. Lady over the phone was very nice and said order would be ready in 35 minutes, took my number down (they go by number not name so sending my friend into the store wouldn't have been as feasible). A large pizza easily feeds 2-3. There was 2 of us and we have 3 slices left for tomorrow. The veggie side had a lot going on which was great! Actual garlic cloves, artichokes, olives, mushrooms, tomato, onions comprised my side of the pizza, which made it more soggy. I'm told New York is floppy because slices are big to fold, but this seemed more floppy than soggy so who knows. Still good and I'd come back here again for their veggie supreme. read more

I met Sal about 35 years ago; I worked for his brother, Carlo. I remember as a tag-along, being invited to an impromptu dinner. To this day, I still rave about Mrs. Oliveri's pasta: delightful sauce with sausages, meatballs and pork feet on the side. Delicious! Not to mention a wheel of Parmesan about the size of car. Best pasta I've ever had. I have tried to replicate it many times - unsuccessfully. Anyway, a pal recommended Pinocchio's for pizza so I went there. It was incredibly delicious pizza: thin crust, sauced to perfection, with tasty sausage and pepperoni. I had no idea it was the Oliveri family until I returned home and googled the pizzeria. Looking at the reviews I can only assume that the bad reviews are those who have been force fed chain pizza. This is as close to Italy as it gets. I can't wait to try different pizzas, and suggest you do the same. read more

I am not a big Pizza person so I always try the family owned businesses vs a franchise store. I ordered over the phone for pick up as we were driving to a campground close by. Love this local spot! Being new to town I thought the name alone was a chain that I wasn't familiar with and wanted to stay away from - that was lame of me. Soon enough, a ton of my new coworkers were all chatting about this place within days of each other. It's like they were all apart of this secret. I finally decided to give it a try and they were all right - it's delicious! I got a pepperoni with mushrooms and black olives and the pizza was legit. The crust was kinda thin but really just perfect. I also got the cannolis and those were a little on the sweeter side than I'm used to but were awesome. They were a big hit in the house too! They don't do delivery or participate in a delivery service but it's a family owned business that is worth the trip. Call ahead and order for pickup. You won't be disappointed! read more
