Great food! I love the Italian Combo Sandwitch and the Antipasto salad! I highly recommend this establishment!

I'm new to the IE and have been searching for an authentic Italian restaurant that makes a good pizza. I've been spoiled with having Avolio's authentic Italian restaurant as a reference for what good Italian food tastes like. Instead of driving back into Covina I decided to take a chance on Yelp and allow the reviews to guide me. I stumbled upon Fratello's Pizza & Pasta in Upland and let me tell you, I'm happy to say they did not disappoint! Flavor, freshness of ingredients and the best crust was a solid 10! I'm looking forward to taking my family there for dinner soon. With that said, if you find yourself near the 210fwy passing Mountain in the city of Upland...do yourself a favor go get you a slice of pizza better yet get a large. You won't be disappointed. Fast friendly service and they make a great meatball sub.. I started to go into Clara's But after two employees were rude and they didn't have a bathroom to wash your hands , I decided to give this place a try.. I was promptly greeted and was able to wash my hands and was out of the door with him five minutes.. Definitely , give them a try over the overrated Claros read more

Fratello's is a little spot out here in Upland. I know what you guys are thinking, 3 stars what are you talking about, you gotta remember this is California. We don't have it good out here when it comes to pizza and I'm sure we have a couple spots but we can't be hyping this up. We were in the mood for Pizza on a Monday night and decided to give Fratellos a try, we found this restaurant on Yelp and saw so many good. Was our first time there, we walked in at dinner time around 7ish, we were the only ones there, no one greeted us because the staff were watching the football game on tv. An older gentleman took our order at the cashier and we paid for our order on the spot, he was nice. We ordered hot wings and Mancuso's Pie. The wings came out shortly and tbh nothing special, very small sized wings and pricey for the size. For the Pizza the crust on the edges were really good, but the entire pizza was too greasy with no flavor at all, I wanted to add some crushed red pepper and Parmesan cheese but no one asked how was our meal or if we needed anything. Service wise; no one checked on us the entire time we were there, the staff dropped off the food and that was it. We had to get up and walk to the register to ask for a cup for water and utensils. That was a disappointment. We didn't really enjoy our dinner at all, we had a couple of slices from the large pizza that we ordered and left. I wish this place all the best. read more

I really enjoyed Fratellos. I ordered a 12 inch thin pizza with half pepperoni. I liked the pizza, crust was a little thicker than I would want but was crisp on the bottom with a little softer top. Sauce has some flavor which made for a very good pizza slice. I also tried the lasagna, really enjoyed this. Sauce is flavorful and really made for a tasty dish. The pasta is not house made which is always a game changer when having a pasta dish. With that said I will be back. I know I did give 5 stars I would say prob more in the 4.5 range. Their prices are pretty reasonable, you could go to fast food burger and spend the same amount of money for a 2 meal combo. read more

A great pizza/pasta shop in north Upland. Always a great meal! When you walk into the place, you step right up to the counter and order your food and beverage. The staff is great and the owner is there mist of the time throwing pies! They have a great selection of beers both bottle and tap! After you order, grab yourself a seat in the main dining area or there are a couple tables outside on the patio. The main dining area does have a couple TVs. I must've fit the demographic of someone that would walk into a business and EXPECT to pay less than what's required. Wow! I've found my new favorite pizza place here in the IE! I came into Fratello's on a Friday afternoon for lunch and, while it was pretty quiet, I was excited to try a new pizza place a short drive from my new house! I was immediately greeted by Tony, one of the owners, and he recommended the lunch special - 8" personal pizza with one topping and a drink for about $8.50. Amazing! The staff was very kind and welcoming. The pizza came out in 5-10 minutes and was fantastic. Definitely more pan style as opposed to the thin crust that I was used to - I got the sausage. The sauce was savory and ingredients perfectly spread. They also have salads and subs that, if they're anything like the pizza, I'm sure are amazing. We ordered catering from fratellos for our son's first birthday (penne pasta with bother meat sauce as well as Alfredo). We took a chance on this restaurant, as we had never tried it before, we were not disappointed!! I spoke with the owner to place the order; he was kind and accommodating. They were able to let us pick the order earlier than they open, and took us in on a short notice. The prices were very fair compared to some other places I called. The food was delicious! We had about 89 guests, and everyone raved about the food and asked where we had gotten it from. I will definitely be ordering from them in the future as well as visiting their restaurant. read more

The pizza and wings were really great--our whole family enjoyed them! They initially got our order wrong, but quickly fixed it with a great attitude. They even offered us drinks and dessert to make up for the mix-up, which I thought was a really nice gesture. The only downside was the unexpected up-charges. The family package cost a bit more than what was listed on the online menu. There was also an extra charge for splitting the wing sauces, which I totally understand, but it would've been helpful if it was mentioned upfront. Then when I went to pick up and pay, there was another charge for using a credit card, which also wasn't disclosed ahead of time. The food and service were great, and the staff was super friendly. Today I stopped by to order a couple of the white pizzas as well as 6 Italian cold cut combos. I'm not sure if they make the bread for the sandwiches there but it was delicious. The pizza is really good too and they give you big slices. The service I thought was fast for being such a large order. I'd like to say thank you again for being so hospitable. I'm so surprised I have not been here before ! The staff were very friendly and helpful ! We ordered a medium pizza and a small salad to share. It was more than enough food for two people. The small salad was a good size and had plenty of cheese and olives. The pizza came out piping hot ! We loved how crispy the outside of the crust was and fluffy and chewy on the inside. It was expensive but not very good. I paid like $120 and got two medium pizzas and 20 wings. One was peperoni and half pineapple the other was meat lovers and had ham, sausage peperoni and Canadian bacon. IT had no sauce on the pizza, and the crust was like three inches wide. They had to make puncture marks around the crust to keep it from bubbling. The pizza dough was not very good, the pizza didn't taste all the good either. It was dry and firm on the meat lovers but soggy and Limpy on the peperoni. Domino's has better pizza. read more

Took the entire family here for lunch on a Saturday. It was a small place and not much crowd at all. We pretty much had a whole place to ourselves (5 of us). The place is clean, casual, with friendly staff and prompt service. We ordered an x-large regular crust and chose our own toppings (pepperoni, bell pepper, mushrooms, sausage, and tomatoes), as well as their Spaghetti with Meat Sauce. It was so delicious!!! Family owned and operated, this humble Italian restaurant in a busy Suburban strip mall is cooking up classic Italian American eats. The pizza is served hot with delcious toppings and gooey cheese atop a crust that is perfectly crusty on the outside and chewy on the inside. As for the sauce... It was boss!! Not too sweet... Not too acidic. Perfetto! The antipasti was average, but when part of my three course meal - yes, I went for the spicy, zesty Buffalo wings too - it did its job and got my appetite into high gear. Service is no frills... walk up and order, sit down, they bring your good and you eat. The dining room is on the smaller side but will probably fit your little league team. So happy to have found this family owned business. Everyone was so friendly. We phone ordered the 16" (Large) Pizza with two toppings, some garlic knots, small antipasti salad and one cannoli to go. Picked up in about 20-25 minutes and the owner was chatting with us and let us sample the cannoli cream before we purchased. We got home and everything tasted fresh and had good quality ingredients. The salad was really good and the small was enough for my husband and I and I had some left over for the next day. Pizza was a good size too, I only ended up having one slice, but the sauce was good. It had gotten a little cold by the time we made it home, but they have inside dining here too if you want a nice hot pizza. Our total for everything was about $50, which was a little pricey, but we did get more than just pizza. They do a special on Mondays and Tuesday where any Large or XL pizza is $3 off, so that was really nice. I'm so happy we came across this hidden gem and look forward to coming here again soon! read more
