This used to be my favorite pizza place. I'm not sure if they have new owners or just new management, but it has gone downhill. Toppings are nonexistent and the dough doesn't taste proofed at all. Visited Pizza Palace last night for the first time. We ordered 3 large pizzas for pick-up / take home. Since it was a take home order, I forgot to take a picture of the pizzas. However, I will attach a picture of their menu. The pizza's were good, with fresh ingredients, and remained hot all the way home. We order one hand tossed crust and two crispy thin pizzas. The crispy thin crusts were thin.... but not cracker thin. They were very good none the less. The food is 100% Halal so the sausage is beef rather than pork. We got a sausage and mushroom pizza and enjoyed it. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Our bill was correct as was our order. The location has very limited dine-in seating. It appears predominately a carryout location. I believe they make deliveries as well but double check, including the delivery zone. Since it is mainly a carryout / delivery establishment, it is extremely important to me that orders are correct. I was very satisfied with the accuracy... my family can be very particular and makes a lot of menu substitutions! The menu consists mostly of pizza and wings. They have limited appetizer, salad, and sandwich wrap options. Drinks include bottled water and canned soda, among other items. We will return to this restaurant. The wings appear to get good reviews so we will probably order them next time.... along with another pizza! read more

I LOVE pizza palace.. but it seems that their management or ownership has changed. The food does not taste the same, the rations are way smaller, and just no genuine pride in customer service/ satisfaction. I got my pizza today and was shell shocked by the small portions and unappealing look at my food. This was my family's first time trying, and I was so disappointed. They have amazing wings here! I don't even like chicken wings, and I devoured a wing in the car on the way home. I had to because they looked so good in the to-go box! My youngest child, who can be a picky eater, tucked into two chicken wings and wanted more. I've never seen this child eat chicken wings before, nor meat off of the bone. Yet, here he was, demolishing the wings from Pizza Palace. The wings at this restaurant are outta sight. We ordered six plain chicken wings with sauce on the side. I feel like if you're ordering wings to go, you need to get the sauce on the side in order to get the full experience. Especially here, because they make the wings to order, so the skin on the outside is crispy and golden. Honestly, these wings don't even need any sauce. I would come back here to order plain wings again and again. We also ordered a pepperoni pizza, which was good. We initially decided to visit this restaurant because of the "California Style" in the name. What is California style pizza? The style of pizza here is not my favorite, but if you like thin crust, then this will be your jam. They load the pizza with lots of cheese, which I love. And they do cut the pizza into triangles, which is a good thing. This restaurant is halal, which means they don't use pork in their pepperoni. If you're looking for a halal pizza, this is a great place to find one! The people who work here are so friendly and welcoming. While I was waiting for my order, the owner came out to talk to me. I don't usually like that sort of thing because I'm an introvert, but he was so genuine and warm, and talking to him was very nice. He told me a little about Pizza Palace and the ingredients they use, which was really cool. I tried this place for the first time tonight and I'm highly disappointed. I ordered the lamb pizza with white sauce and peppers. There was barely any sauce at all and very little pieces of lamb. I called back to complain and they only offered an apology but no refund or attempt to remake it. I wasted $23 dollars and won't be going back. read more

My picture doesn't do this pizza justice (we'd already taken a couple pieces out)! A friend came to visit me and stopped by this restaurant to grab a pizza on her way over. This one is a veggie special minus green pepper plus banana peppers. We were pleasantly surprised how fresh and delicious it was! First, a note on the owner's reaction below: she is not correct that I owe "$12.50". The coupon was for $25 but specifically stated, in writing, that if used after the expiration date (4 days prior to my visit), I could still use it for the cost of the coupon (which was $12.50) and that was the amount properly deducted from the bill as the cashier did with no issue. I sure don't know why the owner thinks anything more is owed. Also, she is correct that I asked for sandwich toppings on the side (and I suggest you do so too) and I'm glad I did that. I don't have issues with the sandwich, other than as noted below. So, on to the review.....this is a small, primarily carryout, place. There are two bar tables, but these are used by take-out patrons waiting for their orders. Excellent friendly service, and the food is Halal which is a plus. The pizza is fine, a rung above Pizza Hut/Dominos etc. varieties. The Lamb Shawarma sandwich is in a 10" wheat tortilla-- odd they don't use pita. The lamb consisted of a small amount of cooked lamb bits--- not much flavor there. I asked them to put the sandwich toppings on the side so that it wouldn't be soggy by the time I arrived home. The sauce for the sandwich was orange-colored (turmeric?) and mayo-based, rather than the traditional and preferable tzatziki. They include a side of fries with the sandwich. We also had their wings. But....I would stay away from the garlic parmesan sauce that we selected. The wings were drenched with the sauce and unfortunately also swimming in a pool of it at the bottom of the container. I suggest ordering the sauce for your wings on the side because the wings were meaty and nicely fried but overpowered by the sauce. read more

Visited for lunch today to order a pizza to-go. The place was very clean and the owner was very friendly and helpful. I ordered a medium meat lover's pizza. I was going to order a smaller pizza and wings, but I decided to order pizza this time and come back for the wings, because I was told they are delicious. The pizza was delicious! Have been watching the reviews on this place and finally went the other night. Take out was prompt, place seemed very clean and the owner was friendly and appreciative. Jerk pizza: As a huge fan of jerk, was excited to try a pizza version. It did not disappoint. Very tasty and the jerk flavor was prevalent, though not overpowering, in every bite. Unique pizza that I can definitely recommend! Next time I think I'll try the lamb. California Chili wings: Wings have gotten so expensive. Not the merchant's fault I know. Anyhow, got 6 wings and they were pretty good. Wings themselves were above average in size, crispy and the chili sauce was tasty. Onion rings: Owner threw a few in with the wings for us to try. I'm giving 5 stars because I didn't actually get to try the pizza... but I simply have to share my wild experience trying to order over the phone... For context, I recently moved to the area and wanted to try this place for the first time. So I call, and the woman simply answers with: "Hello?" Me: "...Hi, could I please place an order for carry-out?" Them: "Did you just call?" (In hindsight, I think she was asking if I had called a minute ago or something, but I was confused) Me: "Uh, yeah?" Them: "Then I'm sorry but we can't accept your order." Me: "Oh, uh why-" Them: *sounding very offended* "Because how could you just ask that question?!? You can't do that, we're a small business." Me: "Uhh, this is my first time calling..." Them: "This is your first time calling??" Me: "Yeah I-" Then: "Hold on I gotta see who just called us then, one second... let me check, just one second" Then she hangs up. I wait 2-3 minutes for them to call back before calling back myself. They pick up and immediately hang up the phone. I tried again a few minutes later and they did the same thing. I guess they had an exceptionally rude customer call them before me, but I'm confused as to how they became convinced I was this rude customer. I cannot stress this enough, this was my first time ever calling this place. I decide to try to place an order in-store since it's just down the street from me. When I get there, they're locking the doors and closing. Granted, they close at 10 and by the time I got there it was 9:30. I can understand and look past that part, but part of me wonders if the whole interaction was an elaborate scheme because they had to close early. If so, there would've been no hard feelings if they just said so, or didn't pick up the phone in the first place. In any case, I just felt disrespected. read more

I ordered this pizza for delivery on a whim after reading the good reviews. Wow, I'm glad I did. The pizza was so fresh and delicious-- not like some of those other chains. The breadsticks were so good. And the wings were incredible, and come with a side of fries-- surprise! My picky 9-year old son said "this pizza is too good!" I was here on business and ordered a pizza for carryout and on my way to pick up I was stuck at a railroad crossing where the train kept pulling forward and backward. The pizza place was getting ready to close, so I called them to let them know I'm on my way but stuck at the crossing. The person that answered the phone was very understanding and kept calling me back to make sure I was OK and didn't need any help, then someone else called me to give me alternative directions. Their tone was a helpful tone. They were never frustrated with me or made any comments about wanting to close. They just were calling to check on me to make sure I was OK. When I arrived I was greeted with a smile and they were glad I made it ok. They offered me plates, napkins, red pepper flakes, and parm cheese. They also have me a free bottle of water because waiting at trains might have made me thirsty. :D The pizza was very good and I would highly recommend. In a time when many establishments ignore customers until they are ready to pay the bill, this business is different. You are greeted immediately on walking through the door. They show you that they really appreciate your patronage by how they interact with you. Any of their staff will take the time to explain any and every question about the product or their business. And their pizza is good. So good that I had to sneak a piece before finishing the 25 minute drive home. We ordered the Extra Large Ultimate Pizza in-store, then carried it home. Half the pizza gone in one evening, and the rest for lunch the next day. There is no dine-in, and they are closed on Monday, but if you remember this, you will certainly enjoy the experience. I can't front, being from the Chicagoland area it is hard to impress me with pizza. I have been in Central Indiana for 15 years, I stopped eating pork 9 years ago, prior to getting rid of the swine my favorite toppings on a pizza were pepperoni and I wouldn't even mind on meat lover. It's been difficult finding a GOOD Pizza that had chicken or turkey sausage on it, it would fall short somewhere, whether it was sauce lacking flavor or the cheese just being pitiful, I just haven't enjoyed Pizza since living here, I typically settle on cheese and it never hit either. When I looked over Pizza Palace's menu and discovered that they had beef sausage and beef pepperoni, oh yes count me! Originally I called them on Superbowl Sunday in the line was busy, I tried a few more times and gentlemen answered and said that they were out of dough. Fair enough it was 7:00 and they close at 8. Fast forward a week later Monday and I was ready to go except they are closed on Mondays, bummer. No worries, I finally secure the bag and I enjoyed my pizza wholeheartedly.
