Bumping up my review for this Goodfellas Pizzeria because the 22-inch pizza is impressive. I've ordered the 22" twice now, and each time, I'm completely taken aback by how large it is. I felt like a cartoon character carrying the pizza box to my car. I could barely fit the box into the passenger seat of my SUV. Each slice of the 22-inch pizza is unwieldy and perfectly greasy and foldable. For a pizza this big, you want minimal toppings, because otherwise, the slices will be difficult to pick up. Adding just pepperoni is perfect. I'm still a little miffed that there isn't seating in this joint, but I guess it makes sense. There is zero parking in front of the restaurant because it faces Broad Ripple Avenue, and minimal parking around the corner. I was in a parking pickle when I went to pick up my to-go order -- I couldn't find a space! Luckily, I found some parking in the back of the restaurant. The parking in this area looks like it's off limits because there's a fence around it and you need to enter through a gate, but (I think) you're allowed to park there if you're just popping out to get your to-go order. Allow some time for your order to be ready. It took about 30 minutes for my pizza to be ready, but it was great when I finally got to eat it. read more

Forewarning this place only offers bar style seating so it wasn't ideal with children. The food was great and the staff is so dang nice it's enough to make me come back here!! Place was clean, they made my pizza fresh right there. My only complaint is our pizza was very soggy/greasy so you may need to ask for well done. The flavor was good though. Well I accidentally ordered a huge pizza. I was really really wanting NY Style Pizza and only two places in Indy came up. It was a toss up of driving further and having a parking lot. Or closer and searching for parking since B-Ripple chose to remove parking on Broad Ripple Ave. We tossed a coin and B-ripple won. The pizza I got was like 24 in across. It was just two of us eating it. It did fit the bill for NY Style and it hit the spot Friday night and again Sat night and last two pieces Sunday night. So splitting it up between 3 meals the cost wasn't really that much. Be careful. It will auto add a 20% tip on line if not paying attention and you will be charged a service fee on top of that. We'd probably do the pizza again but parking in B-ripple sucks. read more

I decided to take advantage of Goodfellas' 50% pizza Monday special and ordered online. As a vegetarian, I was so excited to see how many options Goodfellas had to offer. I ordered 2 pizzas: the "taste of Naples" pie and "the bootlegger." "Taste of Naples" is essentially a margherita pizza. "The bootlegger" was a pesto-based pie with sun dried tomatoes, spinach, and mushroom. Of the two, the bootlegger was my favorite! Both were delicious but the bootlegger is definitely my new go-to pie. My pickup order was ready right on time and was extremely hot (preferred)! I spoke to Christian, who said he took my name and would give it to the manager, He said there was nothing else he could do. I called back and requested a refund or for it to be delivered. He said it was not possible, but his manager would be back at 8 pm to call then. Consistent, good crust (not too floppy), quality toppings and great cheese 1st time had the The Boss. I ordered it by accident as chicken and ranch isn't really my thing on pizza. It was ok. 2nd time had Paulie's Favorite. Fantastic! My favorite of theirs thus far. 3rd time The Goodfella. It was solid. Ordered takeout, ready when it is supposed to be. Staff is friendly enough. Quick, delicious, NY style pizza! We needed a quick meal after a long day and within 15-20 minutes we were able to order and pick up pizza and snuggle in for a movie night!! It is a pretty small...walk-in take out kinda place, I believe they also deliver but we live pretty close so pick up was easy! The signature pizzas were delicious we got 2, the taste of Naples(classic margarita) and the Vinny with sausage(white sauce, cheese combo and sausage) both were the smallest size and we had to try the pesto bread. This was fantastic. Never tried them before and grandma wanted pizza for family dinner. We ordered Tommy two times and Nonna's pie plus sun dried tomato bread. Then when we went to pick it up husband saw the breadstick and had to try those as well. Ordered for a specific time and we got there a couple minutes early. Order was hot and fresh. Tastes great. Tried out the online ordering this last time and everything was perfect, on time, and easy. I don't think I've ordered the large pizza before so i tried putting it in the front seat but actually had to put it in the trunk because it's HUGE. What makes this place famous is their huge slices of pizza wich might be more expensive than a regular brand however eating a huge slice is what we all want right? What I didn't like of this place was that we were starving, just came out of a bar and wanted to order a complete pizza for our group of 4 and the cashier said that was not an option, I told him Ive asked for a complete one before and he said just slice by slice. I didn't want to pay for this because it would be more expensive but my was so hungry that he just said well if you are doing that I want 8 slices and we ended up having our whole pizza but at the cost of $44 dlls. My favorite New York style pizza around Broad Ripple. It's a chain that has locations in a few states around, as well as multiple locations around Indy. At this locations it's deli style so they don't have indoor seating. They have large slices for takeout that are ready, or you can order a whole pie by phone or at the counter and wait a while. The breadsticks are about 2 foot long and necessary with any order. Pro tip- skip the marinara for the bread sticks and get nacho cheese instead. You will not be disappointed! Goodfellas is classic football pizza. An oversized pie of good to mediocre pizza with lots of toppings. If you go into Goodfella's expecting a world class slice of pizza you would come out disappointed. However they offer ginormous slices and pies for reasonable prices. They also provide a great variety of different slices. You can walk in there on any given day and find your staples of cheese and pepperoni but they will also several other pies that very tempting. They also do good job of heating the slice up before giving it you. The breadsticks are also great and I would recommend them along with your slice. They have several different sauces that come with the breadstick. There is not a lot of seating inside the restaurant so this would be more a grab and go place. The seating against the wall can getting very crowded when they are busy and a line starts to form. Overall, an extra large slice of above average pizza at a good price. read more

I think after visiting NYC a couple of times and trying Joe's Pizza, I measure all pizza against it. Especially when a place claims that they do NYC-style pizza. I tend to stick to classic cheese for my first go-around and walking into Goodfellas,' I remember thinking that the pizza case looked EXACTLY like the ones I'd seen in NYC. Cases are constantly refreshed with fresh pizza and slices of different varieties, each as tempting as the next. We went with the lunch deal to share after sharing some dishes at Brugge (RIP) and indulging in a cupcake smash at Smallcakes, just across the street. At $7, you'd think it's a bit pricey, but here's what they don't tell you: the breadstick is LITERALLY as long as your arm. If you're looking for a rich, hearty slice, this probably isn't it: this is your classic NY slice. Good cheese, crispy, thin crust, and a breadstick that's munch-able and also a good vehicle for dipping sauces, should you choose to get some (as I always do). I'll be going back soon enough and while I'm not sure I'd buy a whole pizza, I know where to go when I'm missing my favorite NYC slice. read more
