Drove 3 hrs to go whale watching and needed to grab the kids a quick bite before getting on the boats. Hot dogs are way overpriced worse than a baseball game or Disney . It's a tourist area I get it .so I knew before ordering Id be paying a little more and just went with it but they are not even made to taste good. My hot dog living kid didn't even want to finish his. The menu said made in the oven or something and Never again. At least at the other places when you get an overpriced hot dog they are good . Older guy running the shop was ehh... there for a paycheck. Hope he gets paid well. read more

This is a nice place for a quick drop in and snack. You wouldn't expect much, and as such it does meet the expectations. The cheese pizza was good, and a bit pricey. The hotdogs are flavorful and we enjoyed our the quick bite. The place was clean enough, and the canned sodas were cold. The service is a step above slinging food, as there was no small talk, just getting the food out while it was hot. read more

Terrible experience, went here and ordered pizza and brought a bunch of kids with us. We were having a nice old time and then the owner came up to us and was rude. I'm thankful for this business! I always stop here for a quick slice of $3 cheese pizza. I just love the thinner New York style they have. I've also had a root beer float from here which was perfect with their soft serve. Their caramel flavored soft serve was also pretty good. A great stop when you're walking balboa pier or beached on the sand across the way. Thank you guys for having a great pizza joint! I love the place. read more

If I was able to not give any stars at all I would. I sit here for several minutes waiting to be helped and even acknowledged. There were two workers there both of whom were not doing anything. Other orders have been taken and received and paid for yet I stood there staring at them waiting to be helped. I wasn't in a rush but at the same time I wasn't in the mood to be completely ignored, looked past and even worse, even after saying Hi to the workers, they didn't ask if I'd been helped or anything. I have NO reason to return here. That's for sure. I get it. You're always working to get through the rush of Junior lifeguards and what not, as it's kinda like happy hour, but to ignore your other customers, that's not at all cool, dude! read more

This is an extremely basic slice place. Been going for years as I live down the street. But I just had my son get 2 cheese pizzas???? $81.37 for 2 pizzas?!?? Little outrageous! Disgusting to even think it's ok to charge anyone $40 for a basic cheese pizza. You guys have basic cardboard low grade NY style.... The atmosphere and location are great, but none of that matters if diners with dietary restrictions can't eat safely. I hope the restaurant takes food allergies and gluten sensitivities more seriously in the future.

worst place ever. i wouldnt put my life on the line eating there. back in the day when meatball owned the place it was rocking. now the new owner has nothing but crap. if you really look threw the glass windows i saw woman that was skinny in a red hat with long hair looked like she was Chinese or something wiping the bread with a very dirty towel AND SERVING IT!!!!! as i continued to watch she pulled out a paper plate out of the TRASH CAN and put it on a shelf with the rest of the paper plates!!!! my advice stay far away from this place. talking to a few locals around the area after i saw this happening they have said to just stay away from there she treats her employees like garbage and her food is crap. i for one will boycott this place. I'm extremely confused by how some of the reviewers say they love it here. I've had frozen pizza that is better than this. The pizza was thinner than cardboard, but it tastes like one. It's $2.50 for a slice which seems like a cheap deal for a quick bite, but I would have rather been hungry than to have the lingering taste of cardboard in my mouth. Don't do it.
