We had a wonderful dining experience. The service was phenomenal from start to finish. Our waiter was incredibly friendly, attentive, and accommodating. Although the restaurant doesn't typically allow substitutions, he reassured us that if we didn't enjoy our dish, he would gladly have it removed from the bill, which really showed his commitment to customer satisfaction. The atmosphere was lovely, with beautiful waterfront views that made the meal even more enjoyable. The food was delicious across the board. We enjoyed fresh, beautifully prepared salads, flavorful pasta, and excellent pizza. For dessert, we ordered the coconut tiramisu. While it was tasty, it was more reminiscent of a cheesecake than a traditional tiramisu since it lacked the classic coffee flavor. Overall, the outstanding service, great food, and picturesque setting made for a memorable meal.

Skal Pizza is a cutie little pizza shop on the water that serves up some tasty food. We were seated promptly for our Saturday night rez and our service was spot on the entire night. We started with their kale salad and arugula salad; both of which were great. We then had their saffron miso pasta, pineapple and spanish chorizo pizza, spicy chicken sausage and the bbq corn pizza. The pineapple chorizo was easily the standout and we devoured it. Not too spicy and the pineapple was thinly sliced, which I loved. Highly recommend this place if you're in the area and craving some good pizza.

We had an amazing experience at SKAL Pizza! My friend was visiting from Seattle and absolutely loved it and she's already talking about coming back. Kaleb gave phenomenal service; his energy, friendly personality, recommendations and attentiveness made the visit even better. The food was incredible across the board. We ordered the grilled carrots were phenomenal, the avocado pizza with chicken it was delicious, the Caesar kale salad was so good with a Parmesan crust bowl on top and the banana dessert was the perfect finish. We also ordered a strawberry basil smash & Fremont IPA. You truly can't go wrong with anything on the menu. We also loved the atmosphere, sitting right by the water with beautiful views of the boats. All the staff was friendly, attentive, and on top of everything. We will definitely be back!

We loved our dinner at Skal Pizza! The atmosphere is so nice right on the water and they accommodated our large group. The food was outstanding, the pizza, pesto pasta, and veggie sides. But the desserts were by far the standout, especially the wood fired peaches. Definitely a great spot in Newport.

Added to my favorites list! Loved it here - simply put, the food was yummy, restaurant was clean and aesthetically pleasing, and it was right on the marina. This place is a bit hidden, so you could easily miss it. It's on the marina side of Lido so you need to use the boardwalk to access. Bring your parking ticket if you parked in the structure. They validate but no more than a couple hours. Blueberry lavender lemonade was delicious and fresh - not too sour. Kale Caesar was good but i wish they would have softened the kale and dressed the salad more. Was a bit bitter and tough. Pizza was yummy and I loved the options for toppings. Will be back!

We tried this place on Mother's Day. They were on Resy and had availability last minute. We were sat down about 30 mins after our reservation but kinda understandable given Mother's Day although the hostess told us that they had a 90min limit. The servers weren't particularly happy except the Latina one. We had their spicy chorizo and pineapple pizza (4/5) peperoni with pineapple pizza (3/5) we also had the kale Caesar that came with a big dome of baked cheese. Looked great but was 3/5. Carrots were good and nicely presented (5/5), saffron miso pasta (2/5) flavorless for a dish with two spices in that name and ratatouille with side of chicken (2/5). You are here basically for the view.

Tried Skal Pizza with a group recently and had a really solid experience overall, with a few standout items. We ordered the regular cheese pizza, a butternut squash and sage pizza, a kale Caesar salad, and a pepperoni pizza with added sausage and mushrooms. My favorite was actually the pepperoni with added sausage and mushrooms--it had great flavor, really savory and well balanced, and the toppings just worked really well together without feeling too heavy. The table next to us asked what we ordered and I think that this combo would be a great addition to the menu! I also really enjoyed the regular cheese pizza. It was simple, but in a fresh, homemade way. The kale Caesar salad was another highlight for me. It felt fresh and well dressed, and it was a nice contrast to all the pizza. I'd definitely order it again. The butternut squash and sage pizza was the one I wasn't a big fan of. It was quite sweet, more than I expected, and I personally didn't love that.

We tried this place for our anniversary. I put in the reservation that we wanted a water front spot for our anni, and called the day before to make sure they saw that, and then we didn't get a water front spot. They let us wait for one though, so we ended up moving. The pizza and carrots were great! The saffron pasta was room temp and lacked flavor, I'd definitely pass on that. The googamuck beer was great, and our waitress Sadie was AMAZING! She was so friendly. Overall, the view was great but I'd go to Ospi over Skale. The menu is similar, but Ospi (where we went for anni last year) experience was way better, and the food is leaps and miles beyond Skal. They also made our anni feel special, gave us mini champagne when we got there (Ospi)

This pizza spot in Lido Village is very cute. It's right on the water, overlooking the harbor. It's mostly patio seating, and if it gets cold, they have heaters. The menu is small, but when the food is good you don't need to overcomplicate things. Parking is difficult. There is a lot that the restaurant will validate for you, but it's only 90 minutes. The lot fills up fast, but they do have valet. Kale caesar: The parmesan crisp over the top was fun to crack into - literally. I thought it was really good, but honestly, it was more fun with the crisp that you have to crack on top to get to the salad beneath. Spicy chicken sausage: This was the highlight of the meal. It's a white sauce pizza with mildly spicy chicken sausage. If you can't handle spice, don't worry, it's not very spicy. The tomatoes (which there could be much more of) tampers down the spice. But it's very tasty. If I were to come back, I would definitely order this pizza again.

Cute spot for pizza and drinks with a view of Newport Harbor! They've got both indoor and outdoor seating, so you can bring your dog. Outdoor seating has patio heaters as well. Most pizzas are in the $20-ish range but if you add meat to it like I did, it can hit closer to $30. It was a little pricier than I would've liked, but the artichoke pizza with prosciutto did taste really good and the view is nice, so I'd still recommend the spot.

The pizza was decent. It wasn't the best. It was a little bit oily. We did a takeout so possibly that could be why it wasn't as hot and fresh as it probably would be if you were to sit down in the restaurant so I think we probably will try to give it another go and sit down in the restaurant I just feel sometimes takeout can be so iffy

The food was very good! Definitely not typical "Italian" food (pasta and pizza) but was very refreshing. Service was friendly. Food took a little while to come out. Cool comfy vibe next to the water with indoor and outdoor seating. It's probably not the best situated place in that complex of restaurants because it's on the far end next to a wall (compared to Malibu farm which is open on both sides). I loved the avocado pizza and saffron miso pasta. both were surprisingly very light and refreshing. The pineapple chorizo pizza was a bit heavy for my liking. Overall, this is a great date spot, well-priced and with an ideal ambiance.

It was freezing outside so we requested an inside table. The place is tiny but they gave us their booth in the rear of the restaurant. It was roomy and we were very appreciative. To start, we got the kale caesar and the wedge salad along with the meatballs and fire-roasted zucchini - nothing disappointed! The big ole "bowl" of cheese on top of the kale salad was a crowd pleaser. For entrees, we ordered the pineapple and Spanish chorizo pizza, the tomato pizza with nduja added, the saffron and miso pasta with nduja added and the pepperoni pizza with spicy sausage added. The pizzas were all well made, reminiscent of Neapolitan style. The pasta was also super delicious. For dessert, we got the lemon tiramisu as well as the caramelized bananas. Both were good but the bananas were out of this world. Who knew the humble nanner can be elevated to heights such as this! Hubby definitely enjoyed it. Everyone was super pleasant and the food came out at a nice clip. Definitely a place to return to. Check it out!

Even though this place is pricey I happily supported it because it stood for something. Now that it's no longer vegan, it feels like a completely different place. Seeing venison, eggs, and raw dairy on the menu was honestly jarring. That shift isn't small, it changes the entire atmosphere and comfort level for me. Cross-contact becomes a concern, and I no longer feel at ease dining here. The branding around these new additions being described as "ethical" is the most frustrating part. They try to explain how their meet and eggs can be "ethical" but they don't even bother to try to explain how their raw dairy is "ethical." Probably because is no logical argument. Their pride and excitement about these "ethical" addictions feels entirely disconnected from the community that originally supported this space. I'm genuinely disappointed.

It was around $19 and it was OK but the chicken was super salty! I also got a side of duck bone borth 16 ounces that was around $10 and it was bland and also too salty. I was contemplating adding hot water to dilute the salt but then it would be more bland. I have to say it was a bit disappointing experience for me as I read all the reviews before coming here. It took a minute to locate the restaurant and figure out parking, but once we arrived at the door, the experience was first-class from beginning to end. The hostess was charming and welcoming, the staff kept our waters filled and the table spotless, and our server, Juan, was outstanding. His knowledge of the menu, detailed descriptions, and personal recommendations made ordering easy and built our anticipation for every dish. We started by sharing the beet salad and Chicken Tinga Empanadas with the Gringo Killer Sauce. The beet salad was fresh and beautifully balanced, while the empanadas were packed with rich, savory flavor. The Gringo Killer Sauce added a bold kick that made them especially memorable. My wife ordered the wedge salad, my daughter chose the Grilled Octopus Al Pastor, and I had the 8 oz Picanha special. Every dish was exceptional. The octopus was a creative and flavorful take on al pastor, and the Picanha special was perfectly cooked, tender and was an absolute standout. Everything was so impressive that I sent my compliments to the chef and was fortunate enough to meet Chef Jackie personally. Then came dessert. Juan described a peach cobbler special that immediately had my mouth watering, while my daughter ordered the Espresso Crème Brûlée. Juan returned to our table with three plates and spoons and informed me that Chef Jackie has recommended her specialty. I did not argue, Chef knows best. She surprised me by sending out something different: a slice of Baklava Cheesecake accompanied by a scoop of house-made peach cobbler ice cream. Now, I have eaten some outstanding cheesecakes all around the world, but this Baklava Cheesecake was on an entirely different level. It was rich, layered, perfectly textured and flaky, and so unbelievably delicious that I nearly licked the plate clean. The house-made peach cobbler ice cream was equally impressive--light and creamy, yet captured the full peach cobbler flavor. The Espresso Crème Brûlée was also beautifully executed, with a crisp caramelized sugar shell and a deep, smooth coffee-flavored custard. My daughter ate half of hers before turning her attention to the cheesecake, and she does not even like cheesecake. That alone should tell you how special it was. I live three hours away, but I will absolutely be making the drive back. Lemon & Thyme delivers exceptional food, thoughtful hospitality, creative dishes, and the kind of personal service that turns a meal into a lasting memory. This is my new favorite restaurant!!! Do yourself a favor and make the trip to Lemon & Thyme. Ask for Juan, trust Chef Jackie, and do not leave without desert. Chef Jackie, Juan and the rest of the staff, thank you for the amazing experience!!!
