I went for Memorial Day. The Mac and cheese and chili was unforgettable! A must have. The hamburger was good. The service was amazing as well and our server did a great job at attending our needs and everyone around!

The Grove is a hidden gem for sure! It has great food, and they can make a good drink & it is a place for the whole family ! They have lots of parking , outdoor seating & even a fire pit . Reservations are available

Love the ambiance, staff and food. Server Libby was amazing, personable, and attentive. Vincent was always on top of everything, and chef Aldo creates dishes to die for. The outdoor patio area with its large fire pit is my favorite place to hang out.

Ok I'm so glad we didn't give up searching for this spot! If you follow Apple Maps it leads you to an orchard, we were confused and turned around, pulled into someone's private home, then tried again and ended up driving though the orchard thinking it must just be hidden. Thank god for jeeps that can go anywhere! Also, sorry to orchard owners for accidentally driving though your property. Other side of the orchard we found a street and turned left to find a small building with the correct address numbers! Yay! Except that it looked abandoned and we figured Yelp was out of date, so we decided to look up another spot. While doing that, we saw a car pull up, turns out it's the owner of the property, who often gets people looking for something that used to be there. We told her we were looking for a restaurant and she said "oh you're almost there!" Turns out if we had made a right on the road we ended up on we'd have found it. Anyway, don't use Apple Maps! Now on to the actual spot- we walked in and were greeted by a very friendly bartender/waitress, I believe her name is Samantha, but I was STARVING when she introduced herself so don't quote me on that. She took our drinks order and we checked out the menu. We ended up getting the jalapeño poppers and Oh! My! Baby! Jesus!!!! I'd come back just for those! The French onion soup was delish as well. For the main meal we had jambalaya and a NY steak. Everything was amazing and delicious, I'm definitely looking forward to coming back again.

Best ribeye I ever had forget about Texas roadhouse. This is homegrown cowboy ribeye. I would recommend it to anybody.

The Grove Bar & Grill is a hidden gem in Stevinson CA. First time trying this restaurant out and it was epic! Hubby & I went on a Saturday night and even though they were really busy, the meal we received at the end was worth the long wait. We ordered the Tomahawk steak with Lobster Tail, garlic mashed potatoes & rice. We shared our meal and it was flavorful & filling for both of us. Our steak was well done and so juicy and tender. It was one of the best steak & lobster meals we have ever experienced. Compliments to the Chef! The restaurant atmosphere is more for outdoor dining. The only thing I disliked was all the mosquito bites I had at the end of the night. Recommend taking some mosquito repellent, peppermint oil, or even mosquito repellent candles to enjoy your meal more comfortably. The customer service was friendly and our server Sarah was awesome! Loved how we were able to take a nice big bone to our 3 Pups. They devoured it the same night! Highly recommend giving this restaurant a try. Thank you for the good vibes & delicious menu choices.

Being able to enjoy a full meal without completely extortionary prices is a rarity in today's world - and quite frankly if you want to get it in California, you probably need to get it driving up and down I-5. Not sure where else you can do it. The set menu is pretty simple. You pick your entree, say what side dishes you want, and they're off to the races with a full-course meal for you by providing family-style sides - namely salad, a lamb soup (fantastic!), baked beans, even a quick easy dessert at the end. Also, a house wine, which I honestly can't judge in terms of quality, but it certainly isn't /bad/ (ie, it's drinkable). As for my review, the main entrees I've had have generally been decent. I've had the tri-tip and the lamb chop and they both have come out decently seasoned, decently cooked. My thoughts on the side dishes: 1. The lamb soup is definitely the best. It's super flavorful, super tender, the meat really falls apart in your mouth. Honestly, the lamb soup might even be better than the actual lamb entrees. 2. The vegetable soup is basically just fine. It's nice and hearty, but honestly not super memorable (in either direction). 3. The salad is probably my least favorite entree simply because it always has too much dressing and is a bit too "rich" for my liking. I've actually found that it tastes pretty good though if you eat it on top of the bread. 4. Baked beans - basically hearty and good with the generous parmesan cheese they put over it. I'm a fan. My actual certified Gamer Pro-Tip is to toss tabasco sauce into it - it definitely balances out the parmesan better. 5. Potato salad - I don't actually think too memorable besides being adequate. Definitely filling. Anyways, the amount of food and diversity of dishes you get is crazy - and it's remarkably rare to see this kind of cuisine at this price point. Finally, there's honestly just not a lot of competition in the "places to eat driving up and down between Los Angeles and the Bay Area." If I had to think of any changes, I really just think they need slightly less dressing on the salad! No complaints otherwise!

One thing that puzzled us a tiny bit was the "specials" appeared to be identical to menu options, but no harm, no foul. The service was very friendly, knowledgable and very well executed. It was accurate and reasonably quick. The food was outstanding. We started with very nice small dinner salads, and the garlic bread brought to the table was well done. We had Chicken Alfredo with Feta, and the Rib Eye Steak. Both were sensational (the chicken benefitted from a squeeze of lemon). The portions were large, and the preparation was perfect. The steak was exactly as ordered, and was the best steak we've had in some time. The chicken was cooked well and the pasta was perfect. The vegetables were great, seasoned and steamed, retaining a bit of crunch. Desert was an event! We had the cheesecake, which was very good, and the chocolate mocha ice cream pie. Oh, my goodness! That pie! It was at least 5" high, and covered a desert plate edge to edge, and it was a coffee and chocolate fantasy with a toffee crust! Out of this world! Simply epic. The only photo we managed was the salad. Everything else we were too busy digging in to! If you're in (or passing through) Mariposa, by all means, go! We certainly will be back.

We were seated, and soon after we were greeted by Eleanor, our server. She was warm, attentive, and never made us feel pressured, which was a huge improvement from a previous visit. She answered every question I had, including how they cook a medium‑rare steak (every chef has their own interpretation, lol).
