I don't understand all the recent great reviews for this place. I wanted a pizza & we've never tried this place, so we decided tonight was the night. We had the cheese curds w marinara & they were fine but a small portion. I had a hand tossed pepperoni & onion. it was a little better than a frozen pizza. It hardly had any pepperoni or sauce on it & tasted just like crust. My wife ordered a thin crust cheese but we were brought a hand tossed cheese. We didn't say anything because that what we do, so she ate a couple pieces & complained to me "too much bread & no taste". My adult Son had the Bacon cheddar burger that was supposed to be soooooo great & it was large but mediocre, we don't like thick burgers around here, more of a smashburger kinda family. We had to ask for refills on drinks. The restaurant was also kinda dirty, with sticky tables. Bill was around $60 b4 tip, which was the only good part of the meal. Staff is always super wonderful, the vibe is very cozy and homely, and during the day it's a very pleasant eating spot. My friends and I enjoy going here for the food, as it's priced very affordably. Only issue is the patrons can be a bit rowdy at night. read more

Yes I was very welcomed when I moved to Dekalb I received many free coupon in the mail welcoming to DeKalb and one of the coupons was for a free one topping hand toss pizza for pick up. Went here late on a Saturday night. The small crowd consisted of mostly townies drinking. I feel bad because on google it said they closed at 3 so I went in at 1:15 and didn't worry, but later found out they closed at 2. The waitress was still kind even thought I came in close to closing time. What I ordered: I was craving cheese so I got an appetizer of cheese curds and a 10" cheese pizza. The cheese curds were good, but nothing special. The pizza is super greasy, but sometimes it just hits the spot. This is a great local place with greasy, gooey comfort food. 3 stars because the quality of the food isn't amazing and the ambiance is plain, but sometimes I'm in the mood for a place like this. The price of my meal in total was $13.85 (not including tip). I think that is decent for what I had. I will be back if I ever get some late night cravings again. read more

Well guess what there were no flats in this order . Who does that ' I called the manager and he was such a nice guy and he offered to add a credit to my account. I have been here a few times in the past to hang out with my buddies. They go here often. I don't. It's a well known spot in DeKalb. They are known for their baked cheese nuggets. It's a bar and restaurant type place. Students and locals alike hang out here frequently. In my recent visit, I had their garlic parmesan beer nuggets and the baked cheese nuggets. The garlic parmesan beer nuggets are pieces of pizza dough fried and served with marinara sauce. They were soft and tasty. For the baked cheese nuggets, Pizza Pro's specialty, I had half black olives + green peppers and half pepperoni with a side of pizza (dipping) sauce. They were really good. I like that stuff. They have a good drinks selection. Plenty to choose from the beers listing. I had a bottle of Abita Turbodog (for the first time) brown ale and it was good. I am not an Ale guy but I liked this one. Their cracker thin pizza is also good. I have had it previously and liked it. The atmosphere is chill. It can get noisy though. They have t.v.s in the restaurant that show sporting events, t.v. shows, etc. They have a dart board as well. The menu prices are very reasonable and the service is okay (can be a hit or a miss sometimes). If you haven't been here before then go check them out. I called in my order and had to place the server on hold in order to confirm what the rest of my group wanted to order. The server was overheard asking fellow workers if he could hang up on my call. We may need to amend our review once we've experienced cheese nuggets. However, we can speak for the pizza roll and the pizza itself. The pizza rolls are huge. Enough for two+ very hungry people. It's greasy, but delicious, and the cheese was melty and not rubbery. The leftovers held up well and were still delicious. We tried both the beef and chicken rolls, and would recommend both. We ordered delivery another night, and got a cheese and a vegetarian pizza. We've only had Pizza Pros and World Famous, so we don't have much to compare it to, but thus far it's our favorite in DeKalb, waaay better than World Famous. The sauce was flavorful but not overpowering -- just a little herby/spicy, and good. The dough was pretty average. The cheese, again, was not rubbery. Called ahead to see their dining hours because of c-vd.. They said the dining room may close early so they double checked and assured us they were staying open and to come on in. We stated we were 20 minutes away.. They again said come on in.. We get there and they said sorry our dining room is closed .. Service with an attitude. Pizzas are always incorrect now. Sad. Alot of inconsistancy for a regular order. No garlic on the garlic bread. Missing ingredients or forgotten pizzas. Walked in at 10:15 pm to eat with my family after a long night, we were very hungry. We had called ahead to make sure the kitchen was open and they told us they served food until 11 and stopped seating at 10:30. When we walked in they told us they already called last call and I asked why because it was only 10:15. The waitress said it was actually 10:29 because that's what the bar clock read and that they close at 11. I even held my phone up and proved that it was only 10:15 and she still didn't care.
