I ordered a deep dish pepperoni with extra cheese and received a deep dish sausage with black olives and my husband pizza wasn't cooked all the way through. We live in Texas and was looking forward to this pizza only to be disappointed. Great deep dish I must say. Everything was prepared exactly how I ordered it. I see some people complain that their pizza was soggy which is why I alway insist on ordering it well done. They even give you a pizza cutter to take with you. This was a great experience and I'd definitely order again. read more

This my second time ordering pizza stuff style deep dish yum. I do always tell them to cook it well done not burn. This time I just order the pizza. Last time I order salad too it was so delicious. Very friendly service I took a little longer to pick it up but they keep my pizza nice and warm in a warmer oven. The ambiance is just for pick up I wish they would have a table to eat at least a slice before taking it home I do not love their sauce I am so used to the real Italian sausage with fennel seeds it real add extra flavor to authentic pizza. I did save have of it in the freezer for next time. read more

I don't understand all the 5 star reviews. I ordered a large tavern style pizza, and an order of chicken wings. This was the worst pizza ever. The crust was a premade frozen crust worse than Chuck Cheese. Then the cheese was a huge thick layer that covered most of the pizza. It was a way too thick layer. Tavern style I was expecting a thin cracker crust. Instead it was like thick flat cardboard. This pizza was horrible and on the very expensive side. The wings were made with the most inferior chicken they could purchase. The small order of bad wings was over $15.00. I requested plates utensils, cheese, and peppers. There were no napkins, plates, or utensils. There was one tiny each of peppers and cheese for a large pizza. Never again! I'm a food critic and do lots of reviews, and it sucks to give such a bad review. read more

I love this place. Giordanos in Sycamore has great food and the owners there treat me like family. I suppose it's because it feels like I'm there daily and they know me so well. Isn't it supposed to be that way? Not a lot of places are like that anymore. I've been eating there for years and will continue to do so. Bring back the chicken club!! Best sandwich ever!! This is the best pizza I've ever had. The service is great and the owner are very customer service friendly. I only go here because food is always hot and fresh. If you tell them you are displeased with anything they always try to make it right. I saw the comment below and I'm an African American and they are not rasicis. I have never been ask for ID. If they would ask me, it is for my protection. There is sooo much fraud out here. We should be glad they are asking. To me every place of business should ask expectantly if a credit card is being used, just to make sure our identity or fraud is not being done with our credit card. If they ask you for a ID we should just show it to them. Fraud can happen with black, white, purple or green people any ethic, Fraud don't have a color I had my identity stolen before believe me when your identity is stolen you will be glad for them to ask for ID. I've been ordering Giordano's pizza since I was 17 (41 years) But never have I had a grossly overcooked, overpriced, hardly any cheese or toppings pizza...until I ordered from Giordano's Sycamore, IL last night. Here I bragged to my son and his family about how delicious Giordano's was, and none of our 3 pizzas were good. Dried cardboard, with a minimum amount of sauce, cheese and toppings. I was so embarrassed AND that shit was like $85, before tip! Idc how hungry I am, I'll NEVER order from them again. I'll wait and order from St Charles because they know how to make some excellent za! Giordano's should shut down Sycamore. Plus they had me on hold for what seemed like a crazy long time. But the food was about on par with an overcooked Little Caesar's pizza that was burned and cold. It's ok. It's expensive. The thin crust isn't very thin, but to be fair they have a very thin crust available too. Lots of cheese. The toppings are generous. The crust is nice, but not special. The cheese bread looks great, but the texture and taste is awful, pass on that. The delivery was no contact as requested and 20 minutes earlier than expected. That turned out fine, but that's a huge time difference if you were planning based on stated delivery time. Glad I was home already and not trying to time it for after work or something. Easily the best pizza in Dekalb. I'm not sure how hard that title is to earn, but this has to be it. I have been here several times now, and every time I find myself thinking "Dang, this is way better than I remember" and I am always more than satisfied with my pizza. Tonight I ordered a large (not just for me, though ) pizza with pepperoni, bacon, sausage, and salami on it. The person I was sharing it with was super hungry, and insisted that in the "memo" portion of the online order, the words "I'd like to pick up as soon as possible. I'm really hungry. :)" and the order said it would be ready at 9 pm. Then, within minutes, we received a phone call letting us know that they would have our pizza done at 8:30! A+ customer service right there. The pizza itself is great! Perfect combination of cheese, sauce, and extra ingredients. Crust is a perfect consistency of crunchy and soft. My only actual complaint is that the pizza was hard to get out of the box because it wasn't cut very well. That being said, they still went above and beyond today, and I will definitely be ordering carry out here again! read more

After checking the menu, I saw that they have an extra thin crust! So, I ordered that with sausage, mushroom, black olive and giardiniera. I guess normally it is geared to a 'lighter' pizza with 40% less toppings so, they called me and asked if I wanted the lighter version or regular. I wanted regular. Im glad they called because I would have been disappointed with less toppings I have every intention of indulging on pizza but was super glad I could do so without all the extra carbs. With the first bite, I was in heaven not only with the taste of Giordanos pizza but that crust was just perfect! It was so crispy and very thin, just as I wanted. If pizza is happiness....this was IT!!!!! This will be the only was to go for me from now on...thank you Giordanos, you rock! read more

Our favorite is the deep dish spinach. Everyone we've introduced it to likes it a lot.

It may have been better if we could eat it there but they don't have dine in. Pizza wasn't cut and it was pretty cold.

Super awesome! They even bring you paper plates and a way to cut the pizza when they know you are staying at a hotel. This pizza is the best! I can't get enough of it. Great food but pricey. You get what you pay for, though, Chicago-style pizza in the suburbs isn't going to be cheap. I wouldn't really put it in the same category as other pizza places in the area, because Giordano's is more of a "treat yourself" kind of restaurant to me. I usually get their baked spaghetti with meat sauce whenever I order from them, and the portion size is excellent for me (as well as the taste). If you're just looking to get a pizza, I wouldn't order from Giordano's. Like I stated above, it's definitely a "treat yourself" place. But, if you want to treat yourself to some good old Chicago-style pizza, Giordano's is your best bet. read more

Sorry, I'm a pizza snob, but I'm also correct on this one. anyways, a good option for za in the dekalb area. Much better than all the options arond campus. I will say that their stuffed pizza at this location is not as good as ones I've had closer to chicago. Not as cheesy or saucy... thinner too. Kind of disappointing. If you want Pizza, drive 30 mins east to Aurora, or a little over an hour closer to Chicagoland. read more

I love their pizza, I usually order the thin crust cheese pizza. This pizza is really good reheated at 90 secs in the microwave. The only issue i would have is that when i call for my pizza and ask for a pie cut several times its not been pie cut and its always square cut. read more

I ordered..GIORDANO'S "SOUTHSIDE" ITALIAN BEEF (Tender Italian-style beef on a toasted garlic Italian roll with choice of sweet peppers or spicy giardiniera and a cup of beef dipping gravy) When I got home I kept smelling cinnamon. I thought I was crazy, until my partner said they also smelled cinnamon. I thought I was crazy until I started eating this sandwich. It tasted awful.. I couldn't even eat it. These guys are an embarrassment to the franchise. I give all places a second chance because everyone has a bad day. Their "stuffed pizza" was a regular pizza with extra cheese on it and soggy crust. I've had Giordano's from 5 other locations and I know a terrible deep dish pizza when I see one. It wouldn't have bothered me so much, except I asked their customer service about it. They said maybe the dough was too cold and didn't rise properly. Twice?! Both of their pizzas only had a couple of slices eaten rest was thrown away because it did not taste good. Go anywhere else!
