Yummy wood fired pizza and calzones! The DeKalb area needed a wood fired pizza place.

Excellent service, clean and well Kept up, not fancy but it's pizza right? Food was fabulous. We had chicken parmesan (some of the best I have ever had), tilapia, garlic shrimp (appetizer, so yummy). Wood brick pizza - the Margherita and the Giardino (Fabulous). Ingredients are fresh and sauces are homemade. Everything was great! Great kids menu featuring Mickey Mouse shaped pizza For $10 (cheese, pepperoni or sausage) plenty for 2 kids plus lots of other options for them and nothing on the kids menu is over $7! I enjoy Sicelian pizza, my wife iffy about it, but we both strongly suggest more ingredients on it. A single piece of sausage on a slice, and other scant ingredients didn't cut it. Bread tasty, drink offerings good with beers, wines, cocktails and soft drinks. Server super good and helpful. Inside felt bare and dark- with poor lighting. My wife and I decided to give this place a shot after hearing people talk about how great this place is! We went for dinner on the Sunday after Thanksgiving and it was relatively empty (as expected after the holiday weekend). Even with it being empty, we were still greeted with a smile and were seated right away. Our server was very nice, too! We ordered the chicken wings to start and wow, it was pretty spicy! Nowhere in the menu did it say it was spicy but my wife and I still liked it a lot. Packed a good punch but it wasn't unbearable. It was nice and crispy as well and they were fairly big. You also get 6 in an order. I ordered the Athena and it was very tasty! The crust was really thin and the dough was cooked just right. Not so soft but also not very firm! Every bite had a great amount of topping so you weren't just biting into one topping or not at all. As for the cheese pizza, it was decent. Not a ton of flavor happening and was honestly surprised their house red sauce was pretty mild in flavor. My wife might try the Bianca next time but isn't sure how she would feel about the ricotta cheese. Overall, it was a great experience! The place was well lit and very clean. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The food was still very delicious despite the cheese pizza being just ok. We'll definitely come back again! read more

This was the closest to cafeteria pizza and pasta it could get. Went with my boyfriend who eats anything, and even he couldn't stomach more than a few bites. Very bland, no seasoning. Service was slow even when restaurant was empty on a Friday evening. read more

We dropped in for dinner - this was a place we had tried in the past under different names, and we wanted to see what Zana's had to offer. Wood Fire Pizza - that has a specific meaning, and it was fully met here. I ordered their Supreme Calzone and my wife had their 12" DeKalb Pizza. Both were served hot and fresh off the wood fire, and were very tasty. Before we ordered those, we ordered an appetizer of onion rings. They were served with ranch dip and came out very hot. For drinks we just had soft drinks, but they stayed full. I decided to have a piece of their Tuxedo Truffle Cake, which was pretty good. Service was solid - we were greeted and seated promptly and as I indicated, our drinks stayed full. The bathrooms were clean and smelled like they should. In terms of the restaurant, lots of eye candy around the place, several TVs playing, and just a nice general "pizza place" atmosphere. We'll be back. read more

We had a large group today and I have to say, they accommodated us perfectly. The food all came out at the same time. It was hot, fresh, and very tasty. I would say their apps are very slightly overpriced for the portion you get, but they do NOT lack in flavor. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was also very nice. I appreciate that there wasn't blasting music so that we felt we had to shout. It was just a very pleasant afternoon. I will definitely be back. Got food poisoning - 100% from here... ingredients on pizza, particularly the prosciutto and the mushrooms, were beyond expired - I only ate a few bites before realizing so I never finished and the waitress didn't care. We still paid for the pizza even though it was inedible because I didn't want to cause a problem since servers here are already unfriendly and at that point we had become regulars. I slowly became ill over the next few hours and became worse overnight and the next several days became violently ill to where I had to be hospitalized as things became dire. I called the restaurant to make them aware before getting bad enough to be hospitalized and zero care was given and zero questions were asked. We were longtime supporters but will never go back because of how this was handled. Both my medical team and my husband made the health dept aware as well. (I was too sick at that point and we wanted to be sure to report in a timely manner plus the hospital is mandated to). What struck us as odd and unsettling was that the restaurant did not care or even want details to look into it further. We weren't looking for anything other than for this to not happen to someone else. This has impacted my life terribly. Since then I have heard of many people getting ill from here. It's a shame. I've been driving by this place for 3 years!! Never even gave a thought to stop in.. we already have our pizza place! Today we went out of curiosity and we WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED! Why is no one talking about this place the pizza was really good! Prices are very fair service was prompt and friendly! We will be going back!! give it a try! Food was fast and great. Lasagna, salmon fir my wife and fettuccine Alfredo for our 2 year old daughter. Our daughter ate almost all of it and the homemade breadstick and she's picky. We ordered 3 pizza, 2 pasta dishes & an app None were very good Breadsticks app was not breadsticks, it was more like larger fried beer nuggets. They were ok, just not what we thought we were ordering. Chicken ranch Pizza wasn't good Sausage & pepper pizza was meh. I thought sausage was kinda gross Meat lovers pizza wasn't good either. my son forgot to ask for no bacon, that was the overwhelming taste of the pizza. I love bacon, but it doesn't belong on a pizza, unless you want a bacon pizza 2 pasta dishes were kinda small & came with a actual breadstick that looked over cooked Bill was over $100 w/ no alcohol We won't go back, there are better pizza places in the area. read more

Arrived about an hour and a half before closing and service and food were excellent! The restaurant itself is spacious, clean, and inviting. My husband and I went to dine in at Zana's last week. My goodness, it was so nice. I had not been in that building in over a decade, the owners have done a wonderful job, as it is clean and welcoming. We ordered a salad to start, and 2 pizzas (have to take some home). EVERYTHING there is so good. The pizza was delicious! Nice crispy tasty crust, hot from that wood fire oven... when did you last have that super hot pulling cheese with mouthwatering sauce and super fresh toppings? The menu has several dishes I want to try, but hands down, that was some of the best pizza I have had since moving from Chicago years ago. drivers beware!!! 12/24 on Christmas Eve I picked up a Door Dash order during icy conditions that made the roads very slick & the owners of this establishment (just starting to use this service) filed a claim against me being 16 minutes late for a pickup. Ethics come into play on this one. the customer was perfectly happy in understanding and left me a good tip for getting there despite the conditions. 1 it's a holiday (short staffed) 2 roads were bad. my suggestions is pickup at risk of being deactivated. it's your call Door Dash drivers. I will be posting this on a multitude of sites as to not have drivers suffer the same treatment as I did at this establishment. read more

Literally the best pizza I've ever had! let's not even get into the appetizers - so good! we even tried the beef roll, and loved the breading. the server told us the breading was made using their pizza dough, fresh to order! you can't get any better than this.
