There are many types of pizzas available and if the one you're looking for isn't out, they'll make one fresh, bring you the first bite to your table and then put the pizza on the buffet. End your meal with delicious soft serve ice cream. Very spacious restaurants with booths and tables. Area where you can have a little party (a birthday one was going on). Crazy-cool neon arcade with prizes at the back. Nice bonus is that there are cameras in the arcade and a TV monitor in the restaurant if you want to eat and watch your (older) kids. Service was really nice. Well-kept bathrooms. Only thing they could improve on is having more plates out, I had to wander around to ask a couple of times when they were empty. Very good place to go if you want salad, some pizza or chicken. I love just going to this place for chicken and then getting some mashed potatoes and gravy. The pizza is good here but honestly when I go to this establishment I just want some chicken and a side of mashed potatoes. I can't eat as much like when I was a kid. So I go for a piece of chicken like a chicken breast and then get the mashed potatoes and gravy. The pizza is good here at this pizza ranch. I have gotten the pizza to go in the past or the chicken to go in the past. This place is always busy and they do a great job of keeping the place clean but also always bringing out fresh food when this are running low. Highly Recommended this place. I was pleasantly surprised! I've been to other pizza buffet places that were not so good but I have to say the pizza was actually quite good here. They brought out new pizzas on a regular basis so we didnt have to wait and nothing was empty. Plus the chicken was especially good. I would definitely recommend them!!! read more

Stopped by after spending all day at the lake and nothing hit the spot more than an endless pizza buffet. Kids eat free on Tuesdays which seemed to be a super popular deal since the place was packed. We had a group of seven and they opened up one of the separate dining rooms so we could all sit together. The food was great. The mac and cheese pizza was my favorite. They also had a well stocked salad bar, a station with pasta and chicken and few different dessert options. Periodically, people came by to collect our dirty plates. So this was my first time to a pizza ranch. We had a large party. It was a buffet that offered a great salad bar, a pizza bar, and finally a hot food bar. It wasn't as large as expected. The salad bar was fantastic. The pizza bar didn't stay filled and you could barely tell what was what. The hot food bar had some fantastic fried chicken. The other items tasted like warm canned food... blah. We never once saw a waitress so it was kind of frustrating sitting at a table with multiple plates stacked in front of you. I will say that I appreciate that a drink is included in the price. The bathrooms were not clean. So... would I go back? - yes now, would I select that place ? - no It worked because we had a large group of hungry people. First timer, pretty impressed with the setup and the pricing. Have been to some of the chains with their lunch pizza buffet and this is so much better, bigger slices and tastier pizza. The restaurant itself is very clean and well laid out with clear path to the pizza. The people who bus tables are always on queue and almost too efficient. There isn't much else to say. Can order a special pizza, which I didn't do, and looks like they give you a portion then put rest on buffet. Or at last that's what it looked like. We visited this business for the first time ever and were pleasantly surprised. We paid $15.99 each which included unlimited drinks, pizza buffet, salad buffet, a buffet with fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, biscuits and other "comfort foods" as well as ice cream. The food was fresh and there were a ton of varieties of pizza which they kept rotating offering a range of options including dessert pizzas. We got all psyched up for a visit here, and were horribly let down. 4 kids and 3 adults. We where told that the buffet is closed from 2 til 430. It was unfortunately 2. She said we could order off menu. Food was still on buffet. I said I wished we knew and the woman said it is on "their website" and the front door. Two other groups were there. 1 group said they surprised, the other group didn't believe me and went in. They came out as we were backing out, looking at is doing a no head motion. THERE IS A PIZZA RANCH IN LAKE DALTON, go there. It does not close down, same franchise though. It was fantastic, plenty of help and good food. I will post there, too. I wonder if they thought of the name "Chicken Ranch"? The only reason I am wondering about this, is while the pizza is good at Pizza Ranch, the fried chicken is the star of the show. In fact, their "sub slogan" is "the best chicken in the country." Now I've had fried chicken in every corner of the USA, including at small town, backwater soul food kitchens in the deep south, seemingly at the heart of fried chicken country. If Pizza Ranch doesn't make the best fried chicken in the country, I don't know who does. It's certainly the best I've ever had. Pizza Ranch started in small town Iowa and has grown to nearly 200 locations in a dozen states. It is a set price buffet restaurant, with pizza, fried chicken, mashed potatoes/gravy, potato wedges, vegetables, a salad and dessert bar. I visited the outpost in Wisconsin Dells, and service, food, presentation and cleanliness were all over the top. The experience far exceeded my expectations. The price seems to vary somewhat from restaurant to restaurant, but it is generally in the range of $8-$10, some locations include a beverage, some charge extra. One nice note on the hospitality scale, when you pay (on your way in), they ask you what your favorite pizza toppings are, and they rush to make it, deliver the first hot slices to you, and place the pie on the buffet....which, incidentally, presents 12-16 pizzas at a time and is constantly refreshed. So different than some pizza buffets I have been to, like Cici's or Round Table. The pizza is clearly levels above Pizza Hut, Dominos, Little Caesars, Papa Johns and the like. In many ways, it reminds me of the way Godfather's prepares theit pies, a little thicker crust, a sauce that leans towards sweet and ample cheese, nicely melted. But as you might have guessed, I buried myself in fried chicken. Hot, crispy, nice breading, very juicy birds, and amply sized. They are certainly not buying diminutive birds like Popeye's and KFC. Pizza Ranch is worth a stop, especially for families. I'd go again. read more

I know it's a pizza place and the pizza was really really good but the fried chicken was the best I have ever had! Crispy outside and tender and juicy inside. My son, who is the pickiest eater and would NEVER eat meat off the bone, ate 3 pieces. We have a Pizza Ranch in La Crosse but haven't been to that one yet. Was the first time visiting the place. Looked pretty good until we ate. For a buffet, there isn't much to choose from and it was a little expensive. The pizzas are small and can go quick so getting a particular kind of slice isn't guaranteed. Of all the different pizzas, the plain cheese was the best, having the best flavor. There was only one pasta and sauce and they were disgusting. The staff could use a refresher in customer service. This is one of those times when I wish Yelp had half stars. I'd give this Pizza Ranch location a solid 3.5 stars. Everything was perfectly good, and there was a lot of variety. We had our three kids along, so being able to pick and choose made our lives easier that day. Being a sugar addict, I was really pleased to see dessert pizzas. I was surprised at how this place was. There was a room that could be closed off for private parties (I'm guessing, why else would it have doors?). We ate there right at dinner time and got a booth (window!) with no trouble at all. If this Pizza Ranch was closer to my house I'd be in big, big, big trouble. I've been to chain pizza buffets before. Your choices are the standards like pepperoni, cheese, and a dessert pizza. Then they run out and the customers gather like vultures whenever a new pizza is brought out. So all day Friday, Saturday, and Sunday there is a buffet here. This blows any pizza buffet I've been to out of the water. Buffalo chicken pizza? Check. Chicken bacon ranch? Check. Standards? Check. Comfort foods like mashed potatoes, fried chicken, and mac and cheese? Oh, big check. No worries about circling over scraps, either. The buffet is well stocked. As for the pizza itself, I could so eat the buffalo chicken pizza all day. It packs some heat, but a tasty heat that isn't overwhelming. The standards like pepperoni and sausage all are very solid. They're all based on a tasty crust that isn't too thick or too thin, and full of flavor. My wife absolutely loved the ranch cheese sticks. A nice twist on a standard appetizer. We were here for lunch today. My husband got a piece of fried chicken that was raw. I complained to the busser who got the manager. The manager argued with us that it was a vein that was broken when the piece of chicken is broken at the joint, which my husband did not do. The manager did not look at the piece of chicken. It was clearly bloody and raw. We were not comped for any of our meal or given an apology for that matter. The manager just walked away. We've been here multiple times and it seems like the quality and availability of the food is steadily decreasing. I highly doubt we'll be back. read more

This is such a nice place ! So glad to have discovered it ! Here are some of the awesome points that I will summarize from our 2 visits there ! 1) Clean place. Front-desk staff is friendly and welcoming ! I mean it. We were visitors in the area, but they were very welcoming and accommodating ! Servers were equally pleasant to interact with, always with a smile as they navigated through the many tables, balancing the pizzas or dishes at the same time ! 2) Check out their "Pizza Buffet Your Way" ! They mean it !! You order the pizza you want and they will make it ! You can choose your crust type, toppings, sauce, etc., they make it and bring it to your table ! 3) The salad serving station is so so so good ! It was spinach-with-strawberry salad when we were there and it was so good ! In Fall, they have apples and other Fall fruits with their salad greens ! How innovative ! 4) The pizzas are good ! The usuals like veggie, meat, pepperoni, are all there, plus they also have mac-n-cheese pizza, spaghetti-and-meatballs pizza, roma pizza, California pizza ! You name it ! A HUGE variety of pizzas at the station ! 5) It is not just a pizza place ! There is a whole other station devoted to items like chicken (grilled and barbecue), pulled pork, beef steak, gravy, fries (3-4 different types), etc. etc. 6) If you're still hungry, there is the dessert station ! Mary We enjoy the buffet at pizza ranch in Baraboo. Good chicken. Nice salad bar. My husband likes the macaroni salad but the last six or so times he has been there they haven't had it out. He asks about it and they said they would see about getting him some. They never brought him any. When you first opened up you had it every time we would go. Pizza Ranch of Baraboo was always able to please me. I would go there about twice a month... I was a huge fan of the chicken, however pizza was good too! I have to say I wish they had a Pizza Ranch in Middleton. The value for the money is a 3 out of 5 in my opinion, but because service and food was always good I have to rate it a 4. read more

The food and on site service aren't bad, but I either have terrible timing and luck when it comes to delivery, or they are just extremely slow. Average time to actually get any delivery has been about 30 minutes beyond their stated delivery window. Pizza was better before they moved. New crust just like Pizza Hut. Everything fast and pre made. All tastes the same. Good to take your kids there and fill them up with dough. Look around you average weight is 300 lbs. you can watch the customers grow as they eat 7-10 plates of food. read more

I love pizza ranch, so my family and I chose to eat here on a recent trip to the Dells. I could not believe my eyes when they allowed a woman to bring her DOG INTO THE RESTAURANT. And this was no service animal, it was just a pampered pet riding in the basket of her scooter. I'm sorry, but dogs or any other animal which are not service animals have no business being in a public restaurant. It is unsanitary, it has the potential to cause problems for those with allergies, and is very disruptive. We will not visit this establishment again. I don't feel that I should have to eat next to a smelly, panting animal (unless said smelly, panting animal happens to be my husband). read more
