Hi Holly, We returned :) Still a nice neighborhood, albeit chain pizza place. The meatza is still good although the prices have gone up quite a bit. Two big guys can easily inhale an X-large s at ~$50 including a beer and tips, so not an inexpensive lunch. Welcome to our brave new world, where they just print more money when ever they feel like it, huh? Only two working this time but they were able to keep up with a steady flow of customers just fine. The gal at the counter was super cheerful. The guy making the pies was... well... making the pies. Just a thought but considering the price you might not be so stingy with the toppings. But it was a good pizza all the same. Left full and happy. The beer selection leaves a lot to be desired. Nothing on tap that I liked but I suppose you'd have to have 100 taps and even then people would complain. Adding a Coors keg would make me smile though. I'm a fairly low class greasy Biker so Colorado koolaid is all I need to be happy. The place is tiny and it's too cold to sit outside out back. Most of the patrons were takeout so we pretty much had the dining area to ourselves. We hung around talking for 3 hours and no one bugged us so your hospitality is appreciated. Just a quick update for my neighborhood pizza joint. Happy they are still operating even though several la-de-dah Prius driving yuppie scum designer pizza places opened up very close by. Can't be good for business. Sorry Holly... your meatza will probably never be the best on the planet so long as you are stingy with the toppings. The pies here are fantastic. I mean it. I have been a fan of pizza schmizza for a long time. I don't think there is any left in Vancouver where I live. So when I got the chance to stop here I did. I really like this place. They have great pizza, & you can get it by the slice, which I like a lot, it makes it easy to swing in after work & get a couple slices to go. This place is one of my go to's. It's on my way home, the food is good, and the staff is always great. Also like all the Schmizza's I've been to , the decorations are fun. Ex. A Pez dispenser collection. Favorites Pizza by the slice, lots of cheese and it's garlicky! Also the combo deals are good and ask for a punch card to earn free slices! Pasta, especially the chicken Alfredo. You know the days where work is rough, This makes it better. More combo meals on this, but no punch card. Also it come8s with two pieces of garlic bread. How can you go wrong. The location is also good, not only because it's on my way but because: 1 The parking is easy. 2 It's by QFC if you need something. 3 It's easy to get in and out. Why four stars? IDK maybe I'm still bitter that last time I got home and found that instead of the Alfredo, I had given me a different pasta. It was good enough. Review based on service, not quality of food or atmosphere. Visited Sunday just before 11 am. Door was open, so we walked in. Nice young man behind the counter said that slices would be out of the oven in minutes and we could either wait or come back. Came back 30 minutes later and walked to the counter to see a half dozen pizzas ready for sale. A woman who seemed to be the manager scowled and informed us that they did not open until noon. This despite the door being open for at least an hour and being prompted by another employee to return in minutes. Schmizza is fantastic and I'll return in the future, but never to this location. Even the slightest effort to get this exchange right would have made all the difference. read more

My last experience here was not the best. They were very slow and the gentleman working on the register was not helpful/slow. It took about 30 min to get my 2 pizza's as well. This location is really great! The manager, Michelle, and the other staff members are always nice and happy to see me, which makes me feel awesome. Their salads are absolutely delicious - my favorite is the Greek but a large house salad with their homemade ranch really hits the spot as well. The pizza has that perfect, thick and fluffy kind of crust. Obviously if you are a thin-crust kind of person, then you might enjoy a place that offers a different style. Here, you'll get served a warm freshly baked crust that is just as satisfying as the rest of the pizza. The toppings always taste so fresh, and you can get a variety of different types of slices. In the past, I have really enjoyed their Thai style, Indian inspired, and garlic with fettuccine sauce. Another great feature on their menu is the mixing and matching of pizza with drinks or breadsticks or salads, if you want a little bit of everything! Pretty decent pizza. A little expensive but here for work and ordered for the office since a few of the staff members suggested it. The first time everything was great. The pizza was delicious and the delivery driver was exceptional. He made sure we had enough plates and napkins and chatted with us for a bit. Since this is my last week in town I decided to treat the team again, but this time just a tad disappointing. This is not my favorite pizza personally (sorry Pizza Schmizza!) but this is by far and away my kids' favorite pizza and they are always super excited when we get this for dinner. Staff have always been unfailingly polite and helpful when ordering or for the very rare occasion there is a snafu with delivery timing and they give us a call to let us know, which is SUPER appreciated. 3.5 stars. This place is fun and cute and has good food and great service. There's nothing "special" about any of the menu items but I think the pizza is better and cheaper than the standard "dominos, Pizza Hut, papa johns etc." and the ingredients are fresher and the combinations are more creative. The crust is also very good. Their salads are great, very fresh and crisp. The pesto chicken pasta was very good and filling. All in all I think this place is good and I'll definitely keep coming back rather than ever ordering any other corporate chain pizza delivery. read more

What a great place to stop by for a quick bite. I am always comfortable taking my kids here & enjoy the laid back atmosphere & decor. On the warm days they have a cute outdoor patio with planted herbs & tomatoes. Pizza is good & the salads are great. The staff is always friendly & the place is clean. I have also been to this Location for a fundraising event - which was great. Gotta love a local business that actively participates in their community. Great pizza, bread sticks & salads! The employees are very helpful.. I asked for a custom salad for dietary reasons and they were understanding and accommodating. Great pizza for the price! They made it super fluffy and loaded it up with cheese and toppings, such a fun place with a funky homey vibe. The reason for the 3 stars however, and hopefully this can be constructive criticism for the business, was that the dough was slightly undercooked in the middle and bottom and there was quite a bit of flower on the bottom of the pizza. I could deal with brushing off the flour but the slightly undercooked dough was distracting. I was told they specialize in thin crust but could do a thick crust for me, so I would just suggest perfecting the thick crust cook time. Thanks again, will be back! read more

Worst customer service by an older man (if this was the owner, shame on him). Judgemental, impatient, rude, too put out to assist with a general question, baiting and unnacommodating. I've taken my son to quite a few PS locations in Portland and never has the service been poor. I am happy to spend my hard earned dollars elsewhere, since you clearly don't respect the customers at this location. First of all, I've definitely gotten food poisoning from here once a few months back, but I was forgiving and still enjoyed eating from here. Tonight, at 8:15pm, I called to order a pizza. This was our conversation verbatim: Me: "Hi I'd like to order a pizza" Pizza Schmizza: "Our delivery times are pushed out to an hour, hour and half... and our pick-up times are around 20 minutes, so... yeah we're booked out for the night." My fault for going the chain route - it was the easy choice. We took a sausage and mushroom pizza out and it was horrible. It was a "large" (8 small slices) and was $20 - I almost choked on that. The pizza was cold, had a few tiny sausage crumbles and about 8 mushrooms. The sauce was nasty. Never again. Seriously, a Tombstone in desperate times was better than this. Walk next door to QFC and get that or one of their fresh pre-mades and save yourself about $12. read more

This is so far removed from the pizza I'm used to, and I'm not gonna lie, I've had a lot of different kinds of pizza, from different kinds of names, I've even had squid ink pizza, and this place just steals the show on how bland it is. If you ordered the mushroom pizza, you'd wonder if there's a world wide shortage on the 'shrooms, and if that is the reason why this particular fare is over-priced here. I think if I ever learn that this place is actually owned by Italians, I'm going to think its a front that they don't really give two shits about, or I'm going to have an aneurysm trying to figure out how any self-respecting italian person would want to be associated with this store. Good pizza with a chewy crust (my personal favorite). Fresh toppings and we had a huge delivery order ($200+) that they got to us in about an hour, which I thought was pretty dang good. Really enjoyed the schmizza bread. Teenagers plowed through the pizzas quickly. If your looking for an above average pizza but not totally gourmet this is your spot.
