One of the things I miss the most from pre-pandemic are salad bars. Sometimes, all you want is a really good salad with all the stuff YOU love on it. We're lucky enough to have a location near me with not only a Salad bar but a full lunch buffet! The pizza was fresh. The salad bar was kept neat and full. The chefs even put out a pull-apart loaf of cinnamon cookie!!! This location is always really clean, really attentive and friendly. I had to take away a star because they allowed two toddlers to run around the restaurant bothering all of us. I understand babysitting isn't part of their job description, but I feel like handling unruly customers is. The very present manager should have spoken to the parents after several other customers noticed the constant stomping up and down the aisles and commented amongst each other. read more

Disappointed that the "two one-topping pizzas" deal can't be used for one two-topping and one cheese-only, since it's the same number of toppings but costs an extra $5 to put it on the other same-size pizza. I don't live that far away but out of delivery zone, so their zone must be pretty small. They put the cheese on top of all the other toppings which I am not a fan of, since it reduces the crispy edges of the meats (my favorite part). Thin crust was a bit disappointing and not delicious. I love bread and this did not do it for me. Parking lot for pickup was a challenge, with many spaces constantly blocked by traffic so it's hard to get back out - I recommend parking strategically with this in mind. Signage inside was lacking. Atmosphere was dark and - I struggle to find the right word here - gloomy? Melancholy? Resigned? Poor feng shui? Anyway not a vibrant high-energy place to hang out. We had lunch there. The restaurant was clean, the food was good, very nice salad bar. However, the section of tables on the end of the restaurant were taken up by I'm guessing a regular staff meeting. There was an older gentleman running it and probably 6-8 employees. We sat in a booth on the opposite end of the restaurant and could hear very clearly everything that was being said in the meeting including some pretty foul language. This place is Good for teenagers but not for small children. It takes them too long to serve wings because they prepare them only after you order them, which is not bad, everything is fresh! The pizza has improved a lot since las time we were here but still not great, just average. One of the things I didn't appreciate is that the lottery place is right next to dining area, which is Ok for adults but if you want a family-oriented place, this seems a bit odd. In the end, it seems to be a place where you can come with your teenagers and spend a few bucks on pizza at a decent price, say to celebrate a championship or something like that. In a time when limiting contact matters for so many reasons, and in a general area where no pizza place is perfect or does NY or Chicago style well, Godfather's is a safe and reliable option with a variety of menu items, including "dessert pizza" type of choices. Safe in that they offer super easy online ordering (often with coupons like 2 large pizzas for $28) and home delivery for $4, and reliable in that crust is always the same thickness and toppings are consistent. Pizza is delivered on time by nice folks who wear masks and store the food in proper thermal controlled carrying cases. So many other pizza places either don't offer delivery, or they offer it through third parties like Doordash/Grubhub/whatever that charge so much, or they open late, or you have to go inside and wait near other people (horrible during pandemic surges), or on and on. We Yelped finding a pizza place that was open late (this places closes at 11pm) and we found Godfather's Pizza. Having heard about this chain through TV advertisements we decided why not give it a try. The seating area was decorated with local sports memorabilia and had a cool outdoor feel to it (loved it). We had the Humble Pie with mozzarella stuff crust. The pizza came out hot and cooked perfectly. We actually has to wait for it to cool down. There were a huge amount of toppings and cheese. Wow was the pizza good. What really and I mean REALLY made the night was the host/server GREYSEN. He was personable, good humored, and most importantly he understood, "Customer Service." We spoke off and on for the entire time we were in the restaurant it was so nice to meet someone that went out of his way to make sure you had everything you needed. GREAT JOB! read more

More than a chain, the manager of this Hillsboro location puts significant effort into learning about and caring for his clients. It's a great place to get a lunch buffet with a salad and drink for under $11. Pizza is consistently good and cheese is hot and melted over the toppings sauce and thick crust. TVs on the walls let me catch up on ESPN during lunch. I have lots of great choices for lunch in Hillsboro but Godfather's regularly works it's way to the top. read more

Every time we go they are amazing. They employ young go getters as a learning experience. They support most local sports teams and are a great place to have an end of season party with the team. The only reason this has 2 stars instead of 1 is because of the nostalgia associated with taco pizza. As a native to the midwest, I grew up on Godfathers taco pizza and have found childhood memories surrounding these experiences. So you can imagine my delight when I see there is a Godfathers pizza right here in Oregon. However, I have realized that one of two things must have happened. Either my tastes have changed drastically over the years or the quality of the pizza at this location is abysmal. I'm choosing to go with the latter. The crust was so greasy and soggy that it felt like chewing undigested bread. The lettuce was wilted and dripping with what I hope was water and not grease. The remainder of the pizza was under seasoned and unappealing. Overall the experience left me 50 dollars in the hole for 2 pizzas that could have been made by a toddler. read more

It's a close pizza place and sometimes that's what's called for. Not my favorite pizza place,(but then there isn't one in town). Pretty consistent quality here. I forgot to tell them this time to go light on the sauce. (I think they go a bit heavy). Crust is pretty decent here and they have all the usual toppings. Is it wrong to give a causal pizza chain such a high rating? I don't think so. I (we. don't want to sound too piggish..) ordered a family meal which consisted of a large deep dish pepperoni pizza, along with a small combo, along with their cheesy bread and bread sticks. I swear it wasn't just me eating here. -the deep dish pepperoni here is rich and buttery, but still light enough on the crust that I didn't feel overloaded after a couple slices. plus they put on lots of slices of thin pep, which crisped nicely with browned edges. ahhh drool. -the cheesy bread was loaded with mozza but was a bit simple in flavor -really liked the breadsticks here, butter coated with garlic dusting. yum. Delivery guy was super nice and I thought might have been the same as the order taking guy on the phone but I was way too tired to tell. I ate the meat combo and it was OK. Mom had the veggie and she loved it. The monkey bread thing is a winner of yummy bad for you goodness. SECOND ORDER came later that week because well...again... tired...just moved in...had not really shopped or unpacked. This time I ordered online.....because sometimes...after spending all day talking to a baby and working on getting your house together you do not really feel like talking to anyone. So...ordered the classic italian....which is incorrect in the ingredients on their website...so they called to better understand what I wanted. I also ordered the monkey bread and their chocolate chip cookie. Cookie = AWESOME....sometimes you just NEED A GIANT COOKIE! This cookie is worth it. Pizza...was meh...and had peppers on it even though I wanted no peppers. Oh well. In conclusion....will I order again? Standard Godfather's pizza but the service here is what sets it apart from other locations. The pizza is greasy, crispy, and cheesy-- not a place to get top quality food, but is great for kids and hungry people. This place is around 9-10 dollars a head for buffet. The closest competitor would be Izzys, but every Izzy's I've been to has been run down and the pizzas are pretty much the dollar pizzas you buy at Wal-mart. Godfathers is definitely better. Their Coke freestyle machine was not out of any flavors, the buffet line was kept clean and fully stocked. Vegetables in the salad bar were appetizing and service is very friendly. The walls of this place are full of pictures of local school teams/jerseys, the TVs are all playing sports games, and the staff are awesome. Definitely a good experience. read more
