Just moved to the area and was excited that a Godfathers was close by. Ordered a medium pizza which was ok, a little overcooked but still tasted good and is the reason for two stars. Ordered the garlic bread and it was so overcooked, it was hard as a rock, and was cold. This place is already expensive enough but to pay good money for terrible bread was disappointing. One of our favorite places to go. The staff is always friendly and the toppings plentiful! The buffet is a great option if you get there in the afternoon, otherwise just get a whole pizza and some garlic bread. They have a few video games and sports-tuned TVs scattered around. Not usually too busy The mafia theme is laid on pretty thick, to the point where you might worry that a hit could happen at any moment. Meh, they try - they do. I was hoping for the nostalgia of the 80's Godfather's Pizza places, with the puffy chewy crust and mounds of cheese. yeah, not that. We were there in the afternoon, after the lunch rush on a weekend, so it was SLOW. Like, nobody there, slow. I think it was the manager that greeted us, took our order, and strangely I think prepared it too. The food was OK, we also opted to add salad bar which was meh. We love Godfathers Pizza!!! We drove over to Hillsboro from Woodland Wa. For a Dr. Appointment and we specifically made the appointment in the morning to be at Godfathers for lunch. We were very disappointed that there was no buffet! Then we ordered a medium pizza and side salad. The salad was served in a plastic to go container was maybe 1 1/2 cups of salad for $7! The pizza took 25 minutes which is twice as long as usual! The restaurant was empty of other customers with 2 take outs after us, so disappointing! Ordered pizza a day ahead for a work party with a delivery time at 11:30. When I called to see the order status at 11:36 they told me they don't have delivery drivers at that time and we're waiting for door dash to pick up the order. The order was eventually sent out for delivery at 1205. Very disappointed that this was not communicated when I ordered and I had to call twice to check on the order status. It had been forever since eaten at Godfather's. Fortunately, the still have some of the classics on the menu, including the legend of childhood: the taco pizza. As is often the case with childhood nostalgia, it seemed more impressive back then than it did in the present. Still a nice pizza. Service was fine. Pizza was hot. When it comes to pizza from a national chain, I don't find many noteworthy differences. Crust was middle of the pack, but that was expected. Been here a couple of times not a big fan but I figured I would give it another try. I went in and was disappointed all over again. I was there for the buffet. It took me asking 3 times for a vegetarian pizza in order to get one. Meanwhile they put out pepperoni and meat lovers pizza twice. The first time I asked was at the register when we paid. It took forever to get one. On top of that, the soda machine was not working. There was no carbonation. They put out 2 liter bottles of Sprite and root beer. I asked for coke or Pepsi but was never put out. The tables were dirty. Definitely will not be back. I don't recommend this restaurant to anyone. read more

"9-9-9" About a year ago I had never even heard of Godfather's Pizza (there aren't any in the part of CA I'm from). But, after hearing Herman Cain introduced non-stop as the former CEO of Godfather's it finally came on my radar. I just assumed that it was another pizza brand in the freezer at the grocery store, but one day I was driving on Barnes and learned it really existed! So, I decided to give it a try. I'm surprised that the place was large inside, it reminds me of places I'd go as a kid with my team after soccer or baseball games to play around. But, I ordered take-out as I'm obviously much older now. The pizza was just alright, nothing spectacular. I prefer several other places in Portland. I suppose if it was closer and the only competitors were other chains, I might have it more often. But for now, this is my one and only stop here. Haven't been to a Godfathers in years decided to try the buffet.. good is you get pizza, salad and drink for a fair price. Not a very big selection 3 different pies is all (visit was at 11:30) and they opened at 11. The biggest kicker was the EMPLOYEE coming from the back and sticking her fingers in the food to grab something to eat (tortilla chips, potatoes & bread sticks) didn't stick around to see if she got pizza as well, not very professional or clean behavior. The vegetarian pizza was inedible because the dough was not cooked much, i suppose it is harder to make a good one of these with regular (on the thicker side of crust) because vegetables have more water in them. Saw that this hadn't been reviewed in awhile and wanted to leave a comment., Honestly I would give probably a 3.5, but couldn't bring myself to bump it up a full star. I was excited to try Godfather's since I haven't had it since I was a tyke. Overall, is this pizza great? No. But is it good for what you would expect from a multi-state franchise? Yes. I will confess to being a foodie, but sometimes you just want a good cheap pizza, and tonight this fit the bill. This is not gourmet, this is a self billed pizza buffet, and is exactly what you want when you have a party of ankle bitters, or a basement full of pre-teens. I will judge this off of the complete base model; a large cheese pizza (golden crust). The pizza it self was lighter then expected (Jumbo 18-inch), but did have a airy crust and dough. It was similar to a national chain's pan pizzas but it wasn't dripping in oil which was nice. The cheese wasn't offensive and the sauce was pleasant, and not overly acidic. Service was good, from the phone operator who took my order, to the cashier who I paid and received my pizza. Nothing over the top, but courteous and nice. Nothing more and nothing less then expected. As a mid-size chain I would completely expect, occasional customer service issues and sporadic sub-par quality. Tonight, on this particular pizza Godfather's turned out a pizza that was exactly what I wanted for how much I wanted to pay. The service was as any place should expect. Again, if you're standards are high for a phenomenal pizza with white table cloth service you will be disappointed. If you want a few pizzas to feed the family, or a group of kids on a busy night, this place will do the job. read more

The ingredients are good, and there are a lot of choices, but you need to be very specific on your orders. I'm a big fan of thin crust, NY style, and NYstyle with stuffed crust. I was a bit dubious about ordering from Godfathers, as they specialize in huge chicago style pizzas. I was pleasantly surprised that the Barnes Road godfathers is much better than the Godfathers I lived next to in my youth. But I will say this, be VERY specific on your orders; I find their normal creations a bit bland. Bit of a trick to spice up a normal pizza: Have them mix in crushed red pepper and parmesan cheese into the sauce before putting the rest of the toppings on. Gives the pizza a little extra character.
