Excellent pizza... IL Capo & Plumber Pete

Pizza is excellent... huge slices and full of flavor. We chose Plumber Pete & IL Capo. Great service, extremely friendly staff.

Cheese pizza - ask for well done

I ordered Pizza Shop on DoorDash tonight. In my notes, I said "well done - don't be afraid to burn it". This is the pizza I got. Perfection! This is a "pizza shop" that listens to their customers! Thank y'all - the pizza was PERFECT for me! (I know some of y'all will take issue with the doneness - this is how I like my pizza!)

We had the Large 19 inch pizza with 1/2 Buffalo Chix and the other half Magic Dragon (prosciutto, mozzarella and arugula). They make it fresh, so of course it takes time, but it was delicious. Hand tossed thin crust. Everything tasted fresh and facility was clean.

This small pizza place is absolutely amazing! True New York style pizza. Very large portions and it's BOYB. Don't be fooled by the dark windows, they are open. It's a must try.

The pizza was great, very similar to Joe's Pizza on time square in NYC! The service was amazing the staff was so nice and extremely attentive. I will definitely be coming back.

Chicken Phillysteak. The arugula is a nice touch. (This is half of what's left, great portions)

Great service. Great food. Fresh ingredients and unique menu items. You can't ask for anything more than that!

    Calzone

Girlfriend and I wanted to try local pizza and haven't found much that's well priced and good. The pizza has a ton of flavor and very fresh ingredients. I also appreciated the diverse flavors they offered. The cheese calzone was the best calzone I've ever had. I don't even like calzone. I will go again for the calzone. Totally recommend, support local!

Decent pizza with friendly service. I'm a bit of a NY pizza snob so for me, it's not quite NYC good…read morebut the best option I've found so far in oxford. It's got a fun vibe and lots of seating both indoor and out with an upstairs and rooftop.

Being from the Houston area, we have yet to find pizza there we truly enjoy. We came in a bit after 8, they close at 9, and we were greeted by friendly staff. We ordered a medium Kujo thin crust and had two side house salads with blue cheese and had a couple of draft beers (a Parish Pure Tropics IPA and a Good People West Coast). The salads were crisp and fresh, and if I could have received a gallon of their blue cheese dressing I would have bought it. It was EXCELLENT and I'm a picky blue cheese dressing girl. I'd love to know what brand it was! The pizza was hot, came out quickly and very good. The crust was perfect and the sauce was delicious (not too little, not too much). The beers were ice cold. Lastly, we were there right up to the time they closed and we were not made to fee rushed, at all, and we were asked if we would like another beer or dessert, meaning, stay longer if you'd like! Service was great. Side note: hubby accidentally left his base ball cap there, we were on the road by 5am this morning. I messaged them, they found it and are shipping it to us. Refused me offering to pay or send a label for the cost to ship it. Again, excellent service and kind folks!

This place has all the potential in the world. Great atmosphere, solid brews on draft, good…read moreservice, great songs playing on the speakers, but food was way below average. The chicken sandwich...possibly the worst I've ever had. I don't know if I got a bad piece or what, but it was chewy. Almost like it wasn't cooked all the way through. This place would have gotten at least 4 stars if the food was even halfway decent. But it was not. Only reason it was 2 stars instead of 1 was because of the solid service from the bartender and the neat atmosphere.

I actually spotted it from the bookstore balcony across the street, which made for a great first impression. The hosts were welcoming and helpful, offering thoughtful recommendations from the menu. Since I was dining solo, I grabbed a seat at the bar, which worked out perfectly. I started with a small Caesar salad. It was definitely on the smaller side, but surprisingly flavorful--especially if you enjoy a strong garlic profile. For my main dish, I built my own pizza: pesto base, mozzarella, Parmesan, pepperoni, red tomatoes, and a hot spicy honey drizzle. The flavor combination was outstanding--really well balanced and memorable. The only drawback was the crust, which was a bit soft and seemed slightly undercooked. The wait time was reasonable, around 15-20 minutes. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this spot, especially if you're with a group. It does get a bit loud, so it may not be ideal for a quiet date night. I visited on a Friday, and they closed at 8 PM due to a live band, which added to the lively atmosphere. This is a place I'd gladly return to the next time I'm in Oxford.
