If you come here with the full understanding and acceptance that you're at a restaurant on Lincoln Road, which is one of the most touristy spots on already touristy Miami Beach and set your expectations accordingly, you'll be fine with this restaurant. If you come here unrealistically hoping to find outstanding Italian food made from traditional, old-world recipes and exceptional service at discount prices in an area that's long been well-known as a tourist trap, then to be blunt, that's really on you, not the fault of Pizza Tua. I was attending an event at the nearby Miami Beach Convention Center and came here for a late lunch. Pizza Tua has lots of outdoor tables on Lincoln Road with red/white checkered tablecloths and umbrellas overhead, and it was nearly empty. They were playing Latin music from a speaker in the doorway, which was a bit odd for an Italian place, but this Miami, so... Service was just OK. It was better when we'd first arrived, but once our meals were delivered we were forgotten about for a long period and had to wait for some time after we'd finished our food before they even checked on us so we could pay. Once they delivered the check, it then took even more time before they took our payment so we could leave, and we were really the only ones there. IMO that's one of the biggest faux paus a restaurant can make - There's nothing worse than being ready to pay and leave and you need to wait seemingly forever before you can do so; and that's the final impression a restaurant makes on you. As expected, the food here wasn't the cheapest, but it was fine for what this place is and where it's located. I had a pizza, it was about the perfect size for 1 person and was good but not outstanding and cost $23. A can of soda was $6. Auto gratuity of 20% + sales tax of 7% and a resort tax of 2% were generously included in the final bill. Again, this restaurant and most everything surrounding it is a tourist trap. If anyone checks my profile, they'll see that I'm generally not someone who gives low ratings to restaurants. Unfortunately, despite the beautiful ambiance and the kindness of the staff, this was a very disappointing experience. First of all, the music and atmosphere were genuinely lovely, and the hostess was very attentive and welcoming. However, I cannot say the same about the food. Luckily, we had already eaten dinner before coming here because we only wanted to enjoy a drink and a small appetizer. We ordered a glass of wine, a prosecco, and bruschetta on the side. The bruschetta arrived after almost 20 minutes, which honestly felt absurd considering it's simply something served on bread. But the bigger issue was the quality. The tomatoes were unbelievably tasteless, rubbery, and unpleasant. It also tasted like the tomato mixture had been prepared long before and left sitting for a very long time. It was genuinely one of the worst Italian appetizers I've ever had. The bread itself had almost no crispness at all. Maybe a tiny bit on the outside, but overall it felt soft, stale, and old. I honestly cannot understand how a restaurant can confidently serve something like this. To me, it felt like they rely on tourists who come once and never return anyway, so the quality no longer matters. Unfortunately, we made the mistake of sitting down before reading the reviews. Good flop, nice crust, but definitely not worth $20 for a 12" personal... if I wanted to spend $20 on a pizza I'd order from a chain and get more out of that value for something that was so elementary in ingredients to be worth such a high value on menu. It's been years since I've taken a stroll down Lincoln Road. I happen to have been there, after taking an incredible art class at Oolite. So I decided to take a nice stroll and opted for a nice lunch to match. It's small inside with plenty of outdoor seating. It was a bit warm so I chose to sit inside. The server was kind and attentive. I had a small kids Margherita Pizza as an app and went for the Carbonara. The pizza was average but the Carbonara was not good! Salty and the sauce felt a bit off. I only ate 1/4 of pasta, I simply couldn't finish it. Had to wash it down with atleast 3 glasses of water. $53 later I was filled with regret. Unfortunately Lincoln Road is nothing but a tourist trap. Nothing special and unique. It's changed so much in these last years. It's sad. It absolutely was a dead bug, and when I went to go confront one of the workers and show them the dead bug, they kept trying to convince me that it was truffle fry seasoning. The problems started early on when my husband ordered a glass of red wine that was corked and undrinkable. Thankfully that was replaced. Came across this pizza restaurant and it was such a great choice. Ordered a prosciutto pizza and it was absolutely delicious. Pizza was thin with the right amount of toppings. Pizza Tua is located right on Lincoln Road in South Beach. It's mostly outdoor seating which is perfect for people-watching especially on a cool night. I started some appetizers. The Carppacio De Polpo and Pizza Tua Pizza personal size. The polpo was very good and refreshing. The burrata and 24-month-aged prosciutto on the pizza were delicious and fresh. For the main course, I opted for Chicken Parm. I haven't had it in a while and I'm glad I ordered it because the flavor was exactly what was craving. The tomato sauce was not too sweet or salty. The chicken was perfectly cooked and the spaghetti that came on the side was al dente. To finish my meal, I ended with some fresh cannolis. OMG to die for. Also, I had some sangria to wash them all down :) So good and not too sweet. My experience was great here. I dined in solo and my server really took care of me. Ambience and service was fine- a fun location in the hustle and bustle of things on Lincoln Ave. The bolognese was comparable to a meal a college student would make. Minimal sauce and meat, lots of pasta. We ordered the cacio pepe because we wanted to see the cheese wheel table side service; they have a nice concept in theory but the execution needs work. I'm pretty sure the pasta was sitting at the bottom of the cart in a pan for some time uncovered, letting the heat escape. When it made it to the wheel, the guy's carving out cheese to mix in. By the time we ate it, the pasta was closer to room temp which was not a desired experience. We ordered two Aperol Spritz, only to find out they don't actually use Aperol but some strange substitute that tasted awful. We barely touched them and sent them back. Unfortunately, this has been one of the worst dining experiences I have had this year. Not only did service fall completely short, our server did not bring waters or the wines I had asked to taste, of which the Pinot Nero (their "DOC" wine) was rancid. Additionally, the tastings were poured in a champagne flute . We ordered the lasagna and the caccio e peppe. The lasagna came immediately. Quick services is welcomed but not before the water and drinks. Service was so bad that I invited my boyfriend to start eating so his food wouldn't get could. About 15 min later my caccio peppe was served and boy was it cold and completely inedible making me lose my appetite. (Note: there was not a shortage of staff whatsoever, it was just horrific service) While they offered to heat my dish or serve me a new one, I lost my gusto for the food at that point. The GM, I come to learn at the end of the meal, was the one servicing the pasta dish did not even have the decency to apologize. I proceeded to order the meatballs which presented well but were under whelming. No one came around to refill the waters unless we asked (which we had to ask about 5x). At the end of this terrible experience, our check was provided and this restaurant didn't even have the courtesy or decency to consider a discount or comping the mediocre meatballs. The GM was snarky with me and insulted Miami by saying this is how Miami is. I'd absolutely disagree: we are understanding, courteous, hospitable and take accountability with our short comings. After insisting (practically arguing) he gave me a disappointing 15% discount. I would NEVER recommend my worst enemy to dine at this establishment or anyone else for that matter. read more

Excellent service! We would definitely come back. The restaurant is only been open for seven days, and the staff and management, or trying really hard to set up a great reputation . The staff were very Italian friendly - boisterous, extroverted, warm, and big personalities. They are trying really hard to pull people into the restaurant from the sidewalk. The food was excellent. We had the pepperoni pizza, bbq chicken but substituted Gorgonzola out and smoked mozzarella in, and the special pizza tartufo which was truffle burata. The crust was great , soft but crunchy at the same time. The table olive oil was yummy and perfect for dipping. All pizzas were great. The Tarfulo small pizza was $32 so a bit pricey versus the other menu pizzas. 18% gratuity was automatically put on the bill as well. Great spot. Good luck to these good people. read more

Beautiful atmosphere! I had dinner by myself and the music makes me feel good and confident. I did ordered The caprese salad and it was really good and tasty. I believe the olive oil was the secret ingredient. My server was polite and friendly. Then I got the pizza Margarita with prosciutto and wowowowow crunchy and test really good! I like the place also because it s big and there is a lot of space between tables. I will definitely come back another time this week! Went as a group of 5 the other night. The food was mediocre at best. Came out cold and tasteless. They try to pull you in as if they are Italian owned. They aren't at all, makes sense as the food is wack. Service is terrible as usual in florida since they add the gratuity is added at 20%. Tipping isn't the issue if the food and service is up to par, they just abandon you when you get done with ordering your food. This was one of the most disappointing and odd meals we have ever had while dining out. First, we asked three times for Pellegrino. We could see it at the bar. The first two people we asked did not know what it was. Then we were brought two glasses of sauvignon blanc. What we received bore no resemblance to sauvignon blanc. Next, we ordered chicken parmigiana and chicken Milanese. The waiter said he would bring fries with the Milanese. The food showed up with side salads that were covered in mustard (as a dressing). When we asked why, the waiter acknowledged it, but did not offer to change it. Finally, the side order of fries arrived about 15 minutes after we were finished eating our meal.
