I have wanted to visit Stiltsville Fish Bar for a few years and Miami Spice 2025 was the perfect time. We went on a Wednesday evening and the restaurant was very quiet. From the Miami spice menu, I selected the conch fritters, the shrimp and grits, and the Keylime pie. Maria provided pleasant and efficient service. My friend ordered the grilled mango salad for her appetizer. It was presented beautifully and tasted divine and was big enough to share. My conch fritters were all conch and very little filler and were served with a spicy horseradish sauce which I could've eaten by the spoonful. The shrimp and grits included sausage, melted tomatoes, and a beer demi-glaze. These may be the best grits I've had. The presentation of the Keylime pie was nice, it was topped with whipped cream and toasted coconut. We locked out with a parking space right across from the restaurant and parking was discounted for the month of September. I recommend Stiltsville Fish Bar for anyone visiting Miami Beach.

Catch of the day - crispy hogfish

We had a good experience last night at Stiltsville. We easily found PayByPhone parking across the street. The bar was a bit busy after the Miami boat show, so we just got wine, although the cocktails list sounded good. The interior is decorated somewhat industrial and modern. There are several beautiful fish scale chandeliers to complete the decor along with a full size tube with ice and fresh fish for one to chose from. We sat at a cozy petite table outside and had Kevin as our server. He was attentive and was very efficient. Thank you Kevin! We decided on the catch of the day: crispy hogfish with mashed potatoes. I ate every bit of it, it was soft inside but crispy on the outside, not overly fried. The 2 accompanying sauces were delicious. My husband had the hogfish sandwich and loved it as well. We will be back for sure.

Really wanted to like this place , I went for Miami spice and it was subpar / The chicken was crispy but not flavorful. The conch fritter had no conch ? Just bland The regular lunch wasn't available, just a shit show

Pleasantly surprised! This was my first lunch during Miami Spice and I don't regret it. Now based on the images online, we were expecting a different set up - it looked like it was on the water but gave more of an elevated pub vibe across from a marina in Sunset Harbor. It was slow on a Monday so the bartender doubled as our server; attentive and personable. For $35, we enjoyed 3 courses and my friend had a promotion for a complimentary glass of rose or wine. I started with the crab cake - as a DMV native I'm particular about crab cakes but this one hit the spot. It was a nice size which is uncommon for a starter and it was delicious. They were out of the Fishtail sandwich but I was able to sub it with the Crispy Hogtail and it was so good! Flaky, perfect pickled veggies and well seasoned. Ending with the coconut key lime pie, I enjoyed it but it was a little too tangy to finish the whole thing. Overall this was a great choice for Miami Spice, considering the price point and options provided.

I'm glad we got to try this restaurant for Miami Spice. The service was amazing and the dish presentation was just like the pictures. I was seated right away and our waiter surprised us with a Guava Daiquiri to try for our drinks. They taste so good and I would love to have it again. We each order a different dish from the Miami Spice Menu to try. To start we ordered the conch fritters and the smoked fish dip. Both were delicious and we especially enjoyed the smoked fish dip. For my main I ordered the American Root breakfast that comes from scrambled eggs with grits and chicharrón plus mini waffles. It was good but I really enjoyed the chicharrón texture it was crispy yet tender. The eggs were perfectly cooked but lacked seasoning. The grits were good and mini waffles were fluffy. My niece ordered the crispy fish sandwich and enjoyed it as well the chips. She said that it was perfectly breaded but lacked seasoning. For dessert we each got a different one to share my niece choose the cast iron skillet chocolate cake with vanilla gelato and coconut flakes and I choose the key lime pie. Both were good but I like the key lime custard filling. Overall we enjoyed our meal and drinks.

Every now and than you have to treat yourself and this restaurant was definitely worth it! I took my girlfriend here for a late birthday date because of the great reviews and being seafood lovers we had to try! The service and food was amazing! FYI it's not cheap so be prepared to spend some coins especially if you get the whole fish. We had the hogtail snapper, lemon grass fries and grilled asparagus with 2 adult beverages total cost $288.00 with tip for 2 people. We will definitely be back.

Stiltsville puts the happy in happy hour with their great deals. They have lots of good food options. You must try the deviled eggs with caviar. They also have a list of cocktails with premium liquor. If you're a fan of mezcal, get the Oaxacan Paradise. So good! Our server, Orlando, took amazing care of us. He definitely kept us happy!

Walking in the door, I'm not sure if she was a host or a waitress, but she was fabulous. I sat at the bar I wanted fish and chips yelps said they had it. They didn't. The bartender. Jason suggested the fish Dip. Wonderful.

If you want to try some amazing seafood come to Stiltsville! Before my Miami trip I'm googling menus left and right trying to decide on places I want to try. As soon as I opened the menu I knew this was the place. Very rarely do you see hogfish on the menu and I've only ever seen it in Florida. We sat outside in the covered patio area. I dined on a stone crab claw, fried hogfish and a delectable cocktail. I wish I had more time visiting because I would have come back and tried more on their menu. Thank you Stiltsville for satisfying my tastebuds!

Food mediocre at its best!! Service is nonexistent only to get the bill are they quick with it. Very expansive menu with small portions and choices.

Although I'm a regular at Stiltsville I had my best experience today at brunch. Reni was extremely knowledgeable & personable and was able to answer all of my questions about the menu without hesitation. The food never disappoints but today's meal was particularly superb. The fish wings are one of my favorite menu items and I've had them several times but for some reason today's catch was out of this world. And the fact that Reni was able to explain the why's and how's made it that much better of an experience. The conch fritters were phenomenal; not some nonsense cornmeal with a splash of conch, but conch you could taste! My husband and I come here all the time but we brought a first timer with us and were so happy to share this experience with them. We will obviously continue to visit but are so glad we turned someone else onto this place.

I went yesterday with 2 friends for the Kentucky Derby Party event they sponsored and we loved it! They served a pre fixe 5 small plate menu that consisted of a delicious fish dip with homemade chips, the best tuna tartare I have ever tasted, shrimp tacos, and even a generous slice of key line pie. Bar/restaurants can be fun but not all have amazing food. That is where Stiltsville won with me! I loved my mint juleps, made with Jameson and served in a copper tin! My friend was very happy with the margaritas and my other friend sported the Walking on Stilts drink. They had racing games where you would pick a horse from a basket and whoever got the winning horse for that race, won an awesome prize! Of course will all wore our Sunday attire with derby hats. It was fun to dress up and congratulations yo the young lady who won the hat contest. We met and spoke with the owners who came by a few times to see how we were doing. It was a pleasure to meet such a lovely couple. The ambience was perfect, a mix of both young and older, but everyone was having a great time. I saved the best for last. Our server Jason! Jason was so attentive even though it was very busy. For the best service, ask for Jason!

Unfortunately, neither lived up to expectations. We started with the "jumbo" wings, which were anything but jumbo. We received only flats, and they were some of the smallest wings I've ever been served. After bringing this to the staff's attention, we were told the manager would take 50% off the order. However, when the bill arrived, we were informed that the manager had already left and the discount could no longer be honored. Instead, we were given only the $4 happy hour discount, despite being promised otherwise. For our entrées, we ordered the brisket sandwich and the half chicken. Neither was worth ordering. The chicken lacked the crispy texture it was advertised to have, and the brisket was bland and without flavor. The sandwich was also supposed to come with truffle fries, but instead we were served cold, plain fries. After mentioning it, the solution was to bring us a side of truffle oil and Parmesan cheese and ask us to mix it ourselves. The service was equally disappointing. We asked our server twice for drink refills, but she never brought them. We eventually had to flag down another server just to get our beverages refilled. Overall, this was a frustrating dining experience from start to finish. Between the poor-quality food, unfulfilled promises regarding the bill, and inattentive service, this restaurant fell well below the standard I would expect from a Miami establishment. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience deserves one. I sincerely hope management addresses these issues because the current level of food quality and customer service is simply unacceptable. and quality is embarrassing for miami.

We chose it to celebrate our first wedding anniversary on the 4th of July, and it did not meet the bar, not on the food, and certainly not on hospitality. I have had better service at a casual bistro, and I genuinely don't understand how this place earned a star and the reviews that come with it. We did the nine-course tasting. To be fair, several courses were genuinely good. The yellowtail (course 1) and the oyster (course 2) were strong openers. The gusher (course 5), built around jalapeño, was a highlight, and the truffle popper was excellent. A few others were close but undercut by a heavy hand: the agnolotti was very good on its own, but the cream was so rich and so excessive that it buried the dish. The wagyu was fine once I set the sauce aside, though the cut itself lacked the marbling and melt you'd expect from real wagyu. From there it fell apart. The halibut was so overcooked we couldn't eat it. The foie gras was served cold and rock solid, impossible to spread on the toast as instructed, when it should have been brought to a soft, butter-like texture beforehand. The dessert was overwhelmingly sweet. The cocktails had the same problem. I ordered a tomato cocktail that should have been savory and instead came out cloying, over-sweetened with sweet vermouth and yellow chartreuse to the point that the savory character was lost entirely. The hospitality was worse than the food. I noted in our reservation that we were celebrating our first anniversary. The maître d' said "happy anniversary" when we arrived, and that was the beginning and end of it. At a starred restaurant, on an occasion you've flagged in advance, you'd expect a little more care. Instead our server was absent for most of the night. We had to flag down other staff simply to order more drinks, and we ordered four cocktails and two glasses of wine over the evening, so the fault wasn't a quiet table. The most telling moment was the recovery, or the total absence of one. When we sent back the inedible halibut, the server said it shouldn't have happened and moved on. Nothing followed. At this level, how a kitchen and floor handle a mistake matters more than the mistake itself. A comped course, or even a small pour of wine or champagne, is the expected gesture. We were offered nothing. The room didn't help. The restaurant was nearly empty, and the air conditioning was running so cold that I was uncomfortable for much of the meal. There were bright spots, and I want to be fair about them. But for a starred, tasting-menu experience, and for an anniversary we chose this place to mark, the evening fell short on nearly every measure a star is meant to represent. I'd encourage anyone looking for a special meal to consider one of Miami's other Michelin spots instead.

Happy hour clocks in at $12 for food, $12 for all house cocktails, $10 spritzes, and a flat $6 for all beer, which in Miami Beach feels almost suspicious in the best way possible. I kept it simple with an ice cold Peroni while my wife went for the Giardino 75, a gorgeous little spritz built on Empress Indigo Gin, St. Germain, mint, lime, and prosecco. She loved it. The color alone was worth the ten bucks, but it actually drank as good as it looked. For food we shared the Bolognese Grilled Cheese and let me tell you, this thing punches well above its $12 price tag. Thick cut brioche toast, griddled until the edges go deep golden brown, stacked over a rich slow simmered bolognese with cheese pulling through every bite. Dusted with parmesan and fresh herbs, plated with cherry tomato skewers that added a nice little pop of acidity. Comfort food dressed up for a night out. Service was attentive and easy, drinks came quick, plates came hot, and nobody made us feel rushed even sitting through happy hour. The room itself has that playful Sicilian energy with the Moor head planters and bright touches throughout, which fits the vibe of the menu perfectly. Would I make a special trip back to Miami Beach for it? Probably not from Fort Myers, but if you're already in the area during happy hour, this is one of the better values you'll find on the beach. Solid four stars. Good drinks, good food, great specials, and service that actually showed up.

Huge bonus: they serve brunch-style options all day until 4pm, which is perfect when you're traveling or craving breakfast at unconventional hours. Finding a spot like this in the heart of Miami Beach on a Wednesday afternoon felt like a win. We would absolutely come back!

Another delicious carbone experience for the books!!! We came here for a date night. They were able…read moreto seat us right away. We choose the indoor seating this time around, but I think I prefer the outdoor seating. Indoors was lovely. It was dark, sexy, no bugs, and the perfect temperature. We ordered: Faust wine 5/5 All the usual free apps 5/5 Grilled Octopus 5/5 Spicy Rigatoni 5/5 Veal Parmesan 5/5 The service was great! They had amazing team work to provide the perfect high class dinning for guest. I never had to think about water being refilled, wine glass being refilled, or crumbs on the table. They checked in with us just enough. Price: If you have drinks, apps, entree, and dessert expect to spend around $300 or more. Portions: Not the largest portions for "family size" but if it's just two it may be filling enough because they give you bread, cheese, cured meats, and pickled cauliflower for the appetizers. Overall, this is one of our favorite spots and it's truly worth the hype. For it being F1 weekend it was not as hectic as expected.

This review should really be a 3.5 star for the STAFF and AMBIANCE…read more The STAFF: Excellent customer service and ATTENTIVE. Its been awhile since I have experienced such service standards. They knew the menu well, could make recommendations, etc. The AMBIANCE: Its a very cool place. Mysterious and subdued. Definitely a place to BE SEEN! Drinks: Very good though some seemed as if they put much less liquor than what the drink really needed, i.e. various martinis we all questioned on the amount of alcohol in them. Food: First, its a very cool touch that they bring out salamis and some nice breads. Overall though we really were not impressed with the food. Calamari - Not very good. Everyone took one bite and left the rest. Pasta dishes - We ordered MANY different ones. The portion that comes out will not feed a child. One pasta was undercooked, one was over cooked and mushy. One was just OK. Fish Dish - over cooked unfortunately and this was the most expensive dish we had. Chicken - came out and was so rubbery. No one liked it. Desserts - They all looked good. Chocolate cake was the best. Banana flambe was fun to watch but the result was much less than stellar. Cost - This may just be the priciest Italian-esque restaurant that I have ever been to. Prepare to be shocked by the final bill while still being hungry. Will we go back? Probably but just for a drink at the bar. Definitely not the food.
