We sat at a dirty table with food stains, and asked the clerk to clean it. Instead of doing her job, she told us to move to another table. We did--and surprise--the second table was just as dirty. When she finally attempted to clean it, she used her bare hand and then wiped it with a dry napkin, with no sanitizer, no spray, nothing. This is basic hygiene, not a special request. If the dining area that customers see is this filthy and handled so carelessly, it's honestly frightening to think about the condition of the kitchen and how food is being prepared. This place clearly does not take cleanliness or food safety seriously. Although the pizza was just for me, myself and I, I was talked into upgrading from a small to a medium. Why not for just $3 more? I called my order in since I wanted half chicken tikka masala/half butter chicken and I wasn't able to specify that on the online ordering system. So...when I think of Chicago pizza, I think of the deep dish, cast iron pie with loads and loads of goodness. So in that regard, this pizza is not "Chicago pizza". This crust was a run-of-the-mill pizza crust, and it was flavorless to boot. However, it served its purpose as a vehicle for the toppings which were pretty darn delicious, minus the super dry chicken. Our family favorites are the Butter Chicken pizza (We sometimes order Butter Paneer for the vegetarians), Achari Chicken pizza, Tandoori Wings, and Achari Wings. Even their American pizzas are great! As far as Ambiance, the location shares a building with a gas station and while there's a separate entrance to Pizza Twist, you can walk through the restaurant to the convenience store of the gas station. There's also ample seating to dine in and there's even a bar. It appears they have a pizza buffet set up, which I haven't tried. The only con I would say is that deliveries take longer than expected. Usually we pick up our order, but in a couple cases where we couldn't leave home due to entertaining guests, their delivery drivers are well after their promised time/window. read more

I went by many of the Elite Yelpers reviews and thought it must be good! And an interesting concept of Indian style pizzas. We ordered 4 pizzas(big family): Half/Half Chicken tandoori and chicken tikka masala: It was hard to distinguish all the chicken pizzas. This was good but a bit dry( cheese, chicken and crust). And Idk if they got it mixed up but it was paneer NOT chicken that was on one half. Luckily, I like paneer so it was fine. Butter chicken: think I liked this one best- had more of the Indian flavor. Not as dry as the other pizzas. Combination: tasted fine like regular pizza. Nothing special and like Chuck E Cheese. Now the outer edge of the crust was great! I usually don't eat that part but I really liked it on these pizzas so ate them! The rest of the crust was ok and my kids commented it tasted like the Chuck E Cheese crust and it did! So crust was not crispy( but it was take out and it took me 15 mins or so to get home so maybe that's why) - bottom crust other than the edge part was just ok. Toppings are what really made these pizzas. I liked the spicy flavor too. Got the mango habanero wings (12 count) because of the reviews. Realized that they gave me HALF Barbeque and half Mango Habanero. I don't know why or if they just made a mistake. The mango one was REALLY GOOD- loved them. Bbq was ok- wish I had more of the mango one I ordered but it is no big deal as it was ok as well. They forgot my 8 Ranch dressings that I paid for so I did call about that to at least credit my account. They recently just changed ownership or at least split from the gas station. So maybe working things out. Girl was a bit confused when I called them to credit the Ranches and kept getting mixed up with the pizzas so decided not to mention anything and just focus on the credit for the ranch. She was friendly and trying hard. She couldn't find my order on the register so she left a message for her manager so hopefully I get it since I paid over 128.! Overall, many mistakes made. They were training another girl and talking with another employee so maybe they were distracted and it was a football game today with lots of calls even when I was on the phone ordering. I think the pizza is different enough and decent enough to give it another try one day to see if it is good, but really it did not hit the mark as the other Yelp pictures and reviews showed( they looked delicious on Yelp!)- there was something lacking this time around at least with our order. Definitely if I want wings, this would be good though. I will update the next time. Oh forgot to add: one thing that did concern me was the cashier wore the mask below her nose not covering it. But worse yet, was the cooks were all young men and none of them were wearing masks as they made pizzas! About a half inch thick. The garlic white sauce tastes so much like mayonnaise, I believe that's the base. It made my boyfriend and I want to throw up. We also ordered the Tequila lime wings, which were UNDERCOOKED and so gross. The buffalo wings were OK though. It's hard to spot from the main road and when approaching the establishment, it feels like a roll of the dice. That said, the young man behind the counter and his mom baked up an amazing pizza. We went with the meat lovers medium for three of us and we were left licking our fingers. Despite the place being in inside a gas station, when you take a seat, you feel like you're in a cozy place to share a meal. I usually love Chicago's Deep Dish but the Lady at the register recommended their Gluten Free crust. I was pretty amazed by the level of perfection in these Pizzas that I ordered. Never thought of Indian flavors on pizza before I got their ad in the mail the other day..... but man I'm sure glad we stumbled across this place. We eat pizza every Friday, and now we have a new one for our rotation. We tried 4 different pizzas; the old standard pepperoni pizza, along with the assortment of Indian Butter Chicken, Tandori Chicken & Garlic Chicken pizzas. We were a little unsure about this, but we do really like Indian food, so we dove in, and we are so glad we did. We picked up our pizza ourself to check the place out, and it seemed clean and smelled amazing. People were very friendly and our pizzas were right on time. Got the pizza home and it was all really really good. All pizzas were cooked perfectly. All the toppings seemed to be fresh and the Indian flavors were so so great. Their chicken was amazing. I think they could have been stronger with the Indian spices for my taste, but the flavors are still very good.
